Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: It makes sense for the character which I'm applying for (Not Mark, don't worry) to be promoted in character, for reason evident within his backstory.

Why did you come to Aurora?: It was the first one I saw.

Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about: Roleplaying is to be somebody other than yourself, imagining that you're in their place and performing actions as they would do, not as you would do. To be a good roleplayer is to be able to act as a character without exerting your own personal bias onto them, while portraying that character consistently. Additionally, to roleplay well is to be able to create and maintain a realistic and believable character, keeping everything clean cut and not having stupid stuff or memes in them.

What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?: Your purpose as a Head of Staff onstation is to make sure the round goes in a positive direction (i.e, towards more roleplay of any form), even if realising that direction may not be positive to what you may have ultimately planned. You are also to set an in character precedent for how to behave and act as a character and as a player, by setting the example of good roleplay and realistic expectations of a character.

What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: As a whitelistee, you're expected to help other players learn the game be it through in character or out of character means, as you're deemed a responsible and knowledgable player. Additionally, you're expected to play believable and realistic characters on all occasions, as they are who new and old players alike will look up to as an example.

Character name: Benjamin Crowley

Character age: 35

Please provide a short biography of this character (approx 2 paragraphs):

Born in Ireland in 2426 to a pair two decently accomplished parents, he was interested in medicine from an early age and began to begin light study into the field, fueling his later propulsion to doing a college level course and leaving with two majors in Medicine and Surgery. He began work with NanoTrasen at 17 as an intern aboard the NSS Carina but left in 2455 to do further study into medicine.

He returned to NanoTrasen in December of 2458 to continue work aboard the NSS Exodus as a surgeon, and despite his good and modest work he's been hoping to take a higher position for a decent while.

Whilst normally a fairly quiet person, he knows how to step up and take order within the 'bay, ensuring work is done efficiently and with good effort and efficacy. His experience as a Chief Surgeon aboard the NSS Aurora gives him decent experience, and he hopes to yet again put his knowledge to it's fullest use.

What do you like about this character?: Not afraid to get stuck in the middle of things even during high stress situations, always doing his utmost to help whoever may need it.

What do you dislike about this character?: Tends to put priority on other lives, not his own.

What do you think makes this character fit to be a head of staff?: He is capable and willing to do the work needed, and is qualified as such to do so. He does have his failings in his recklessness, though that failing has proven useful on occasion.

How would [Muncorn] rate your own roleplaying?: While a good roleplayer, he has a slight habit to overreact in situations, both OOC and IC, and this has, and likely will, cause problems in the future. However, he has decent potential despite this, and on the semi-likely chance he does do shite upon the eventuality he gets the app accepted, it takes a good 4 clicks to take it away, so shan't be too bad.

Extra notes: I know that I have extensive notes, and that Mark Syion isn't the best of character. However, in the past year I've improved myself greatly, and I hope other people think the same.

i knew this day was coming..

Mark Syion was was one of the most famous memes around the server, one could use him as a bad example or even an insult, i've had many ICly bad interactions with them, the more severe ones were as antag, nothing too bad OOCly.

surprisingly on some rare occasions, captains trust him with an interim head of security positions, and even more surprisingly he doesn't do half bad.

this is all before the re-work, i never thought the day i will +1 cool's head of staff whitelist would come, but here we are.

the re-work may have been overdue, but the fact that it happened is what matters the most, accepting criticism and being ready to change are signs of a good person and that's enough for me to endorse this.

P.S: i still dont want to see HoS mark syion, or godforbid captain syion, the aftertaste has ruined the character forever

Don't you worry a thing, after all of the sever telling me not to make him HoS, he now has a IC reason why he will never be in the Command Staff.

This App is for Benjamin and future characters, god praise him.

Yeah, looks good to me. I know coolbc is a good roleplayer, despite his character becoming a meme. I'm leaning positive, except there's one little problem here: CMOs need to be 35 years minimum now, so that 33 years won't cut it. Other than that, I take no issues with this app.

I've had some... acceptable interactions with mark's character.

though mark was quite memey, i've seen good RP and crew interactions from BC, and i don't doubt he knows this server and RP well enough to play and handle the pressure /and power/ being a head gives you.
