Why do you wish to play this specific race: I want to bring my old character Zoroko back, so I have spent my time trying to get the lore right (I will not repeat the previous incident which was totally and completely embarrassing). He is a great character to play, and the memories with this character make it imperative to show all these new red Unathis how the original Red does it. I hail from BestRP, Unbound Travels, and Apollo. I promise to try my hardest to make my character presentable.

Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: Well, Zoroko is strong, gets things done, and does so in a way that just doesn't feel the same with a human character. Maybe it's the lisssp? Anyway, roleplaying a Unathi makes my character's exterior really match his qualities. You just don't have the same firm appearance without it.

Character Name: Zoroko Fon

Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs

Summary of character:

Fon is competitive, but not overly so. He is blunt, and cracks his knuckles very loudly before doing his job.

He tries to be a forgiving person, even when you’re in his way. He likes tinkering with things. He is relatively sociable, and doesn’t mind a drink.

He is awful at cooking with station appliances.

He only drinks Tequila, and prefers it from the bottle.

He does not mind fooling around occasionally, so long as nobody gets hurt.

Paragraph:

Zoroko Fon was brought up on the planet Ouerea, originating from Isoz, A Unathi rural area. From childhood, Fon was interested in the conflict on Moghes, and learned a lot about it. He studied the news and gained an ear for bias after poring over propaganda leaflet copies and historic scripts from a terminal outside his residence during his free time after his usual exercise and oral education. He realized very quickly that although the Izweski government was corrupt, it was founded upon a deep history of dominance over the other tribes, and such unwarranted imposition of Izweski right was dishonorable. This originated not from alien principles, but in the unneeded self-righteousness of the Izweski. After a good ten years of watching the conflict, Fon got to witness through telecommunications reports the nuclear warfare tearing apart Moghes. This shook Fon, as he didn’t believe the traditionalists would go as far as to wipe entire communities off the planet’s surface. It caused Fon to feel less attached to the conflict, as using such weapons for political gain was not ethical in the slightest, with many clans being wiped out. He eventually gravitated towards other things such as mechanics and wondered if maybe he could find a more solid place that would be less likely to break into civil warfare. Eventually this led him to temporary CentComm low-level dock guarding, a temporary post while he finished qualification. Once finished, he was transported to NSS Aurora due to recent incidents making it a good place for additional security.

What do you like about this character?

He is blunt, but has a sparkle of humor. It makes him really fun to play. It also lets me mess with the idea of perspective, as Fon does try to understand others.

The thing is you most likely aren't going to be accepted until you spend some time on the server itself as another character so we can see how you play and how exactly you will play the character you're whitelisting as.

I will do just that, thanks for informing me. I'll do my best to build trust on the server, and I hope my character's backstory doesn't sit badly with any Loremasters. If it does, please tell me, I'll accommodate for the issues the best I can.

I believe I played as Bart Klennings a few times. Let me check...

I did about three rounds with him once, give or take a couple, but I doubt that's enough.

If this gets rejected due to playtime issues, when I have played enough to be trusted, do I send in the same exact application?

There is no minimum requirement at this time as long as playtime is more than 'zero'. The rule is a stopgap against people applying who have no playtime, and/or are dishonest about their lack of playtime. It's up to specific developers how lenient they want to be with their specific species, though.

Your played character lists your unathi... But you can't play your unathi because you don't have a whitelist

Our logs show your last four plays with Bart Klennings on the 4th and 6th. I am not sure why you didn't include Blart Klennings in your character list since that is your only played character here. It's not really necessary to list every single character if you have a bunch, but he's your only character. Zoroko does not exist here yet so shouldn't have been listed.

I suppose four rounds can be enough to get a grasp on the server to try your hand at a whitelist, but it is a very short amount of time so I am not sure the amount of feedback you will get.

I'll let this sit for a bit more to get that feedback and I really encourage you to get more playtime on the server.

While I already made this post I will also point out a small red flag for you to work on before I make a judgement,

On our server alcohol is toxic to Unathi. Your Unathi can't drink tequila because he would get extremely sick and probably die. Fortunately we have butanol-based drinks which let Unathi get drunk safely. That wasn't explicit since the line on the wiki was vague saying they're just 'less tolerant' to alcohol so that has been made more clear, and it won't be held against you since that's my fault.
