Guest Menown Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 I know this sounds stupid but combs as they are suck. They produce, like zippos, a pre-designed emote that doesn't fit. Most people usually just do a simple /me for their combing/brushing as it is. Currently within the code, there's a handheld-mirror which is a large item that only fits in a backpack. My suggestion is to impose the code from the mirror onto the combs and remove the preset emote, allowing combs to change your hair style at will, as with most combs and brushes is possible irl.
Kaed Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 But how could you comb away your unathi frills and/or horns? Or your Tajara ears..
BRAINOS Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 I'm actually not a huge fan of yanking out the comb's pre-generated text. Preston Prestoff will often use the comb to punctuate over-the-top statements about how great he is, pick-up lines, or any other opportunity where "incredible style" would give him an advantage. He's used it before first-thing when running into antags or authority figures and it has actually wound up saving his life (maybe even his job) a few times. I like it as a niche item that only fits a few certain characters.

None of the Tajara hair styles remove their ears. As for Unathi, don't know. But they're able to change this stuff already via mirrors regardless of this being implemented. LordFowl Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 Voting for dismissal. This functionality is already present in portable mirrors.
