How long have you been playing on Aurora?: On and off for the past year or so.

Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: Natural Progression of being promoted, I've been heads on multiple other RP servers, I generally like the idea of being the HoP specifically because it is a fulfilling role to maintain the civilian aspect of the station. I also take great satisfaction in knowing that under my guidance the ship is succeeding.

Why did you come to Aurora?: Apollo Station went down after a long time of being up. I needed the next best thing which was Aurora. Not that Aurora isn't as good: I just was integrated into that community.

Have you read the Aurora wiki on the head roles and qualifications you plan on playing?: Affirmative Captain, Engage!

Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each.

Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about: Most people will tell you that Roleplay is taking on the idea of not being yourself and how that made up person will react to different situations. My personal opinion is that is half true because while you can disconnect yourself from being a person: It's sometimes hard to not do things that you would do. So, I would say it's taking on the identity of someone else and for the most part that's about how it goes.

What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?: The purpose of any Head of Staff is to keep their department, and the ship, running smoothly. They are expected to know when and where to delegate, and when to do something themselves, as well as know enough about their department to be effective. Realistically, it'd be generally hard, or even impossible, to learn each and every job in their department, which is why delegation and leadership are their most important skills.

What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: I'd say that as a whitelisted individual you have to set a standard for well maintained, methodical, and proper roleplay within the guidelines of the universe. In addition, you are someone who is to create a fun environment for individuals to partake in generally all-around good roleplay. I don't think whitelisted people are examples: I see them more as guides to more well-rounded stories and good times through their unique abilities.

Character name: Cohen Agg

Character age: 42

Please provide a short biography of this character (approx 2 paragraphs): Cohen Agg: A man of about five foot nine inches. He was born in a cargo ship to people who had never known a home: Cargo freighter workers. Cohen has only ever known the life of hauling freight, hence his occupation as a Quartermaster now. He only knew space lanes of the Sol system, but that sun was his own nonetheless. Earth was a particularly dull place for Cohen. He much preferred the hum of the engines to the sound of birds chirping and the wind rushing through his hair. It was a better time, before the chaos that would become station life.

So he lived his life, cargo ship to cargo ship. He soon found himself as the QM of the cargo ship Selinia. He worked for a few years before meeting the woman who would be his wife, a transfer engineer from a different ship. This caused problems for him because of the possibility of children which he didn't want to have them grow up like he did. He signed on to work at a station at the age of 34 when he was married. He loved the life on-board cargo freighter but he had to give his wife a better life than that. So, he signed onto Aurora and there he has remained ever since.

What do you like about this character?: When a non-antag: I like order and tidiness. That is the most important part of this character. He maintains a very close-knit and orderly station.

What do you dislike about this character?: Being an antag sucks as this character: I'm very conflicted because I really want to maintain my normal job. Very hard to decide. Sometimes ask to have my antag removed because of this.

What do you think makes this character fit to be a head of staff?: Experience in the civilian quarter and maintain proper stations as well as overseeing multiple jobs as QM. I find that QM is a good step down from HoP because you have to run multiple civilian jobs at one time: In addition, to making recommendations on new miners and cargo techs.

Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions.

How would you rate your own roleplaying?: 7/10 - Very average roleplayer. I don't really like dramatic flare and what not: I'm just a normal guy kind of roleplayer with normal guy motives. Very rare for me to do anything besides my job in terms of roleplay on the station, but I do it well.

I'm a bit confused, I've seen Cohen go about a few times but they were a chemist and another time was working in security? I might be thinking of someone else but pretty sure you were a chemist?

Very rarely, on non-canon rounds. I'll play chemist but it's a very rare thing. As for security, there was recent Rev round where I took sec gear, but I detest security most of the time: If not all of it.

All rounds are canon. It's only the antagonist actions and actions nfluenced by them that aren't. So even though most of the round may not be canon, some of it is, such as the jobs your character takes.

It's non-canon to me because it is involuntary. Cohen is a QM but the game doesn't always give you what you want: In such cases, I have a default Chemist choice as my second option so i'm not a random security officer or a janitor. That is why you'll see the occasionally.

I'm sorry I just know you as the odd chemist, of which you were fine enough. Will hopefully see ya in action in cargo soon enough!

Though remember Sharp is right, it's only if you were an antag would it be non-canon. To be a chemist you have to have the right character qualifications in your employment history which is "At least 28 years of age, applicable DPh from accredited school, 2 years Residency at accredited hospital or clinic.".

If you choose to make Cohen Agg a Command member you really, really should narrow down his skillset. Your character has to meet the qualifications for his job and that should really be the range of his skills - Cohen HoP would not be able to be a chemist again.

I have had good experiences with Cohen as QM under my character Jawdat. I have also had good experiences with him with my AI Handy. Dark Lord Zargog (Fear Unto His Wrath) seems like a good sport and his character has a good head on his shoulders. While I am leery at allowing more rivals to snipe the HoP spot from me, I know he'd be a good fit in the role.

That's not really allowed, this would only be non-canon on the basis of that. Otherwise due to how persistence focused this server is, that would be canon, unless voided by all sides/staff decision. I'll need to ask that you make a character that would be specialized in chemistry instead of Cohen.

I've seen the error of that mistake. I have dropped chemistry as a viable role for Cohen to limit his skillset. As I said before, i'm more interested in Cargo than anything else for this character.
