Captain Orders And How To Deal With Bad Ones

Hello everyone. We've had a long history of issues in regards to the Captain's exact levels of authority. After some deliberations we've added an update on the Regulation's page to incorporate a CCIA notice that covers Captain authority, how you deal with problematic orders, how to get the captain arrested, and generally clarifies key aspects of Captain authority. This is pretty important for basically everyone so we encourage you to read it and get familiar.

The entire update is within the Additional section, and consists of about a paragraph or so of additions.

It also covers who's at fault if regulations are broken during the carrying out of an order from the Captain, the only 2 acceptable methods of getting a Captain the fine gift of a boot in their butt, and what specific infractions are committed if you start being feisty about Captain's orders.

TL;DR: "These orders must be carried out in all circumstances. Even if you feel an order from the Captain to be against regulation, your moral code, or generally detestable, you still have to follow it."

Obviously if there are special circumstances (it's extended but the Captain is demanding you execute all of medical for saying his shoes look dirty and he's already beheaded all members of command and blew up all the fax machines and subverted the AI) you should ahelp before you decide to engage in mutiny or not. If it's a rev round, then disobeying the orders or not is literally the central point of the game mode.

Hopefully this makes it more clear that there are consequences for disobeying orders even if disobedience is a reasonable option.
