Gear Harness for IPCs

Normal uniforms seem restrictive for IPCs considering the main reasons we wear uniforms are easy identifying whose doing what and covering up those private bits of biology. Machines don’t have the latter problem, and you could easily wear an armband or hat that IDs who you belong too.

As it is you can’t spawn in with a gear harness as medical or security. Which again is due to the uniform identification. But due to the models of these IPCs it would be easy to ID who is doing what. Zeng-Hu are generally going to be medical or science. Gen 2 are going to be Sec or Engineers, bth who have armbands.

Anyways yeah, just think it would hender more than help an IPC. Armbands and hats would make more sense since they wouldn’t generally interfere with cooling and stuff.

This has more to do with dev oversights rather than uniform actually*. Due to being new and thus not completely implemented, Zeng-hu and other bots have not been added to the races permitted to spawn with gear harnesses. If you tried to do so with a baseline IPC I am 70% sure it would go through.

Just some background as to why this is a thing, the actual request of the suggestion'd be much the same.

*Both baseline IPCs and industrials* used to be able to spawn with these.

**Industrial IPCs have been renamed and thus probably cannot spawn with em anymore.

As someone with multiple IPC characters, I get yelled at consistently if I am not wearing a uniform. I spawn harnesses on all my IPCs.
