Pratepresidenten
As it says on the tin. Overpressurization is a pretty laughable joke. You can turn pressure down 50% and you'll burst a lung instantly and die in a few minutes, but you can turn the pressure up 550% and stand around in the insane pressure, laughing as it does one brute every 20 seconds. I stood around in this high pressure for 10 minutes until my lungs popped, then another 5 minutes with a burst lung, slowly bleeding out until a combination of two gave me brain damage and killed me. Im not asking for pressure to instantly kill someone at 200 kPa, but atleast let it be more damaging than a single brute every 20 seconds or so at 650 kPa. Link to comment
Asheram
It's legit though. Human can withstand quite a bit of overpressure. The lungs will go way before other tissue starts to take damage. Humans can deal with breathing up around 150kpa and after that, the air starts to become toxic to us. Edit: And that's just for normal air. Link to comment
climax708
Problem is, overpressurization is a bit rare. If air gets toxic after 150kpa (toxin damage) then just use internals (problem solved). Meh. I'm not sure, but maybe overpressurization should just gib a person? Link to comment
LanceLynxx
I have been meaning to make a post about this, check the suggestions for the post. It's regarding atmos as a whole, but takes heavy consideration for high pressures. Link to comment
Pacmandevil
how would overpressurisation even gib a person that's not how any of this works Link to comment
Guest Marlon Phoenix
how about 2 brute a second Link to comment
Pratepresidenten
But at what pressure does it become dangerous as opposed to an inconvenience/minor hazard? Link to comment
Guest Marlon Phoenix
When you're in the room without a hardsuit its dangerous Firelocks tend to close when pressure gets bad Without a crowbar you are RIP Link to comment
