How long have you been playing on Aurora?:

I have been playing on and off since early 2017, but it's been my go-to server since November of 2017.

Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?:

I wish to experience new roles and situations playing from a command point of view. I have seen many situations in the eyes of miners, sec, med, all having diverse outlooks on life. It's time to do the same with new characters commanding the whole station or a department.

Why did you come to Aurora?:

There was no other option for HRP. All the others were simply not as fun as other servers such as /TG/ or /VG/. I have always had a thirst for HRP in any sort of game, and here I find the solution at Aurora. It is by far the best HRP server on SS13 and supplies me with great deals of fun. The other servers that offered the same thing just did not compare.

Have you read the Aurora wiki on the head roles and qualifications you plan on playing?:

Yes.

Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each.

Ok.

Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about:

Roleplaying is simply living a life that is not yours. Roleplaying is not typing up character sheets on what to do in every conceivable event the character might happen themselves upon, nor it is typing paragraphs of complex words and using skillful language for all the other players to see. Roleplay is being a person you are not. Nothing less, nothing more, no matter how convoluted you make it. And what is Roleplay about? That is for you to decide. No one can demand one singular reason why someone should roleplay and why they do it. There are many reasons why people roleplay. Simply living a life grander than yours, or creating new and interesting stories, or just deriving some fun from doing things you wouldn't or couldn't do. Roleplaying is about what you want it to be.

What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?:

For HoS, CMO, CE, and RD, their jobs are to be an experienced player that should have the answers to many things. They should not have just the basic knowledge of the department that they reside in. They should be able to answer any question anyone has, and that is their job. They are teachers and guiders. They should be competent and trusted within their role. You should be able to ask any question to them about their department and they will know it. "Hey, how do you wire stuff without making knots," a new engineer asks. You should be able to say, "Ask the CE," because they should know how to do it.

For HoP and Captain, they serve a different role from teacher. They are the organizers. If the Heads of Departments were teachers, the Captain would be the principal--Organizing school affairs and managing teachers--And the HoP would be the Dean--Handling the students and sometimes even the teachers.

What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?:

As with Heads of Departments are to their students in their respective department, whitelisted players are the same to those who are not whitelisted. For any whitelist, whether it be for the many Aliens or Command, they should know a lot about what they are whitelisted for. They should be able to answer any question, guide any players, and, well, pass a whitelist. I do the same for Vaurca, a species I am whitelisted for, and I'll do the same with command.

Character name: Lazlo Lovasz

Character age: 51

Please provide a short biography of this character (approx 2 paragraphs):

This peculiar human was born on Xanu Prime in 2409. He was born to parents who subscribed the the old Earthen Hungarian culture. Lazlo, son of these two parents, was naturally inclined to accept his culture. A strict household bent on whipping this young man into shape. Lazlo, did not succumb to these pressures. He was a strange boy and later man, having qualities that forced him to either be waiting like a rock or up like the sun. He was not orderly, unpredictable even. He frequently skipped his classes, not for his friends, no, but to simply take a walk in the urban countryside. He moved around the same way the trees grew and the fox stalked. Even the scoldings of his parents did not let him out from this strange behavior. He seemed more interested with the grass growing rather than the other things he might experience in life. In a choice of what to do, he would often pick the duller, uninteresting things to do. Rather than trying a cigarette he watched birds fly or the construction workers worked away.

He crawled his way through school. During high school, he seemed to manage his grades well. In fact, he was doing better than ever before. He found ways to smuggle his antics into school, however. Lazlo had no friends during his youth, but he frequently sought speech with the local animals, and preferred to gaze at the insects in his pocket rather than the teacher in the classroom. When he was focused, however, he did a wondrous job at school. He was unpredictable, deciding rather to focus on school or other things. He managed himself to get a scholarship to the Lunar University of Medical Science with a promise to NT to be employed in its corporation. He got his MD's degree in Surgery and a Bachelor's in Medicine. He was 28 when he got out of college, starting when he was 17. He became a medical resident at his local hospital, and stayed there for 2 years. At age 30, he was put into a small NT mining station as a surgery. Things were calm, and he found that he could do with his antics with the slow shifts on that station. He frequently sat alone, staring at walls in deep thought. Whenever a hard choice came, unlike what he saw in school, he'd simply go on with his antics to mellow himself out. He would go back with a decision made, frequently vanishing to think about these problems. He proved to be a competent doctor, even with these things that he did. After 10 years a surgeon, he was promoted to CMO on the same station. He worked tirelessly to keep his department ready and secure. After he did what was needed to be done, he'd go off and proceed in one of his games. When he was needed, he reappeared ready. 11 years of the same routine, sharpening his skills, he was promoted to Captain by his own request. He was to be transferred immediately.

What do you like about this character?:

He still has a level of professionalism, but he is still... Strange. He tends to put thought into small things, and frequently just thinks about them only. He mellows himself out by distancing himself. Of course, as a captain, distance is bad. Whenever he is needed, he goes into action, does what needs to be done, and simply relaxes. He's not always micro managing or too distant.

What do you dislike about this character?:

"Haha! Look at me! I'm so quirky and different!" This is a trap I can fall into when playing this character--Overplaying his quirks. This leads to snowflake characters.

What do you think makes this character fit to be a head of staff?:

He is flexible, able to reply to many different situations requiring different levels of thought. His unpredictability when it comes to thought allows him to respond to many events, but maybe not as precise as other Captains. He's wide when it comes to solution, but with that level of wideness, he can not be so tight with his solutions. They won't fit perfectly, but they will do. He will put much thought into his choices, and make sure they are good.

Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions.

How would you rate your own roleplaying?:

5/10. It depends on the situation and my mood, but I may have a hard time acting like my character.

You won't become a doctor with a bachelor's degree, let alone a Surgeon. Typically it takes around eight years to gain an Doctorate of Medicine, then you've got to do a residency, not including the specialization required for becoming a surgeon. You're looking at around at LEAST, eight years of schooling required.

Combine that with your President Ted Nugent hunter/farmer backstory, along with the apparent captain position gained in ten years from somebody who shouldn't qualify for the positions they've been given, you've earned yourself the honorary title of Saints Row Protagonist.

I'd recommend you look over our job guides and do research into what's required, schooling wise for the positions you're applying for because from what I'm seeing, none of this works.
