How long have you been playing on Aurora?
Around 6 years.
Have you received any administrative actions? And how serious were they?
None I can remember.
Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each.
What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?
I think the two main responsibilities of a head of staff are:
Help create engaging roleplay opportunities for the rest of the crew through command interaction. I’ve seen a lot of command members make a round memorable through their decisions, so what command members do in a round absolutely influences the narrative. The aim should be to have some roleplay that’s enjoyable for everybody.
Assist new players in learning the mechanics of the department or the game in general. Usually everyone helps new players regardless of if they're in command or not, but I think command members should make it a direct priority to oversee someone new learning as they’re more likely to be more knowledgeable about the department they run.
What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?
I think having a whitelist in general, whether it be a species or a command whitelist, opens up a few more opportunities for roleplay. Anybody with a whitelist should attempt to use their new abilities or positions to create a good story, rather than abusing whatever privilege they gain for any in-game advantages.
Also, I think keeping a whitelist requires that you have some ability to uphold a decent standard of roleplay, for everyone else’s sake along with your own. Nobody wants to see any of the lore portrayed inaccurately, so I think it’s an important OOC responsibility to try and make an effort to roleplay well.
Explain how the recent events in the Spur changed your character and how they came to be employed on the SCCV Horizon.
The Horizon’s recent deep space expedition was a hard time for most, if not all, the crew involved. When the Horizon returned recently back to Biesel for the end of the year, two new command members stepped on board, looking all too recharged to relieve anyone weary enough to take some time off after the Horizon’s latest adventure.
In addition to well rested crew being shifted onto the top deck, the rising hostilities between Zavod and Hephaestus has called for some level heads and some loyal dogs to enter the mixing pot that is the Horizon.
Morgan Guillame, a born and raised Valkyrian with an undying loyalty to the Trasen family and consequently the SCC, joined the crew as a new Captain. He appears calm and reasonable, somebody who could mediate any hostilities before they become too much of a problem. Lastly, being a Valkyrian, he’s also used to many cultures clashing together and how to navigate the potential upsets. Overall, a seemingly good pick for the tense times.
On the other hand, there is Chief Engineer Heping Hsieh. A die hard Hephaestus loyalist from New Hai Phong who will not hear a bad word about Aeson. Whether his loyalty is the result of a handsome paycheck or due to the life-long corporate rule Hephaestus has had on him and his home is unclear. He has Hephaestus’ interests at heart and will keep a close eye for them.
What roles do you plan on playing after the application is accepted?
All of them eventually, but I’ll start with Captain and Chief Engineer.
Have you familiarized yourself with the wiki pages for the command roles?
Yes.

Chief Engineer - Heping Hsieh
Do you understand your whitelist is not permanent, and may be stripped following continuous administrative action?
Yes.
Have you linked your BYOND account to the Forums?
Yes.
Extra notes:
None.
