  1. This was brought up and something is currently being worked on for the atmospherics setup. (In regards to optimization and size.)
  2. I believe, unless something has changed since i last tried the medbay vendors, you would have to give borgs the ability to vend from the vendors so they could get the bottles if its removed from the hypospray.
  3. Topic is being temporarily locked until it can be reviewed by staff.
  4. Just did a check and yes it does appear to be gone. An account I just made is able to be security officer/warden/detective.
  5. After talking with Nanako a bit I'm for giving her a chance.
  6. Xenobiologist and Scientist are different jobs.
  7. This is the place for all discussion relating to the new Aurora Map. Suggestions, feedback, etc. This post has all current information and pictures. http://forums.aurorastation.org/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=5493#p54737 Please use github for all bug reports. https://github.com/Aurorastation/Aurora.3/issues
  8. Sent it to you over pms just in case this evolves into a larger issue.
  9. Hi Nebs. (Don't worry I still care.) Engineering and dealing with robotics just isn't the same without you around.
  10. We seem to have pretty good engineering numbers during peak times when I've been around. Lowpop/dead hour is another story but it always has been like that. So I think currently playerwise were fine. As for the SM, it's an easy engine to teach and use since everything to run it and power the station perfectly fine are all right there in the engine room at round start. And seconding the entire station is your workplace so you can be as social as you like, or as solitary as you like and never leaving engineering except for work/emergencies.
  11. Ckey/BYOND Username: Keknar Position Being Applied For (coder, mapper, spriter): Mapper Past Experiences/Knowledge: I haven't done very much with Dream Maker until recently. Most of the experience is what I've done in my spare time to try and figure things out, or asking how to accomplish X from others with experience. Actual experience not related to ss13 comes mostly from tabletop and other games where I would draw out maps/base designs for use in game. (D&D/Star Wars/Other pen and paper, ARMA series mission editing.) Examples of Past Work: Some screenshots of work in progress. Preferred Mode of Communication (Skype, Steam, etc.): Discord. Additional Comments: Just a note having spoken to Skull, I'd have to learn proper usage of github/map merging.
  12. For those that have used/worked with them. What do you think of the substations baystation setup for the different departments?
  13. This has strayed quite a bit from the initial complaint. Placing a temporary lock on the topic until Tenenza can respond.
  14. You can also click on the grille while holding reinforced glass to place the window that way as well.
  15. This topic is being temporarily locked so staff can review it.
  16. The majority of our communication is done over skype. Are you able/willing to use that as well?
  17. Temporarily locking this thread until the 17th when the forum ban will be lifted and the thread will be unlocked to continue when TechnoKat can respond once more.
  18. Unless I am misunderstanding what you're suggesting this does already exist for users to use in the forum options. If you go and look under your user control panel -> Board Preferences then on the left side is Edit Display Options. That one contains all the different display settings including display signatures, and display avatars, both can be toggled on or off.
  19. Yeah you can, I've done it once or twice when a scientist bothers to come ask. You just bring the canister over that you make, or any empty ones and we can fill it right back up relatively quickly. And like Jack said we have a stupid amount of toxins just sitting there in the big storage tank.
  20. 1: In your past experience with forum moderation, what has been most challanging about the job? I believe the most challenging part is to remain neutral. It is a key part to moderation, having to pay attention to know when I need to step back because of bias or conflict of interest. It's hard to spot sometimes and harder to admit that you can't make a call because you're either involved, or have a bias that would color your judgement making you no longer neutral so you need to pass it off to another moderator. 2: Other then enforcing the forum rules, how do you intend to make our forumside community a better place? Since rules are really only part of the job of being a moderator, I would pay attention to active topics and watch for any questions to answer or feedback that is needed. Since I want people to feel welcome to ask about anything related to the server or community if they were unsure or wanted to know more. 3: How would you work with the rest of the moderator team on a day to day basis, do you think? Day to day work would involve making sure the forums are checked regularly by at least one moderator. Knowing the rough schedules of when other moderators are around to know that someone is able to keep an eye out for anything that requires attention. I think after that it just comes down to having communication amongst everyone and making sure things are handled consistantly and anything important documented so there is a log that can be referenced. EXTRACREDIT: Tell me a story about your past experience with another forum in 100 characters or less. Up to 4 Hashtags are allowed, and are excluded from the word count. Once I got to tempban the owner for breaking their own rules. #nogodsonlymods #newregime
  21. Basic Information Byond Account: Keknar Preferred means of contact: Skype, Gmail, Forum PM, Teamspeak. Age: 26 Timezone: Eastern Standard Time How often do you visit/use our forums?: I check the forums pretty regularly. Experience How long have you been with our community: Since it was originally formed. Do you have any experience in forum moderation or administration?: Yes. I have moderated on several forums in the past, a clan forum, server forum, and a roleplay play by post group. Have you ever been banned from our server or forum, and if so, how long and why?: No I have not. Personality Why do you play SS13?: I play SS13 because I enjoy the situations that can be created by individuals creativity. Rarely are things the same, and most of the power for creating interesting stories and moments are in the hands of players playing the game. Why do you play on Aurora?: I play here because I came over when it was first created having known many of the players. And continued to keep playing because I enjoyed playing with them and the new members as the community grew. What do moderators do?: Overall the job of a moderator is generally interaction with the community to foster healthy discussion and keep a friendly atmosphere. But a moderators job is also to monitor discussions and topics to make sure they stay in line with any rules that the forum operates under and that no discussion gets out of hand and devolve into harassment and insults. What does it mean to be a moderator for our community?: I believe it means to try and foster a healthy welcoming community so that it can continue to grow with new players. Why do you want to be a moderator?: I've had some experience moderating forums in the past, and I am lacking in skills related to coding/mapping etc. This is a way I think I can help. Also forums are an area I enjoy working in. What qualities do you possess that would make you a good moderator?: I am patient, relatively organized, and have the ability to be reached easily. I also feel that being able to work independently and with a team easily is helpful. How well do you handle stress, anger, or insults?: I handle them reasonably well. Stress and anger is something I tend to deal with on a daily basis so I like to think I have a good handle on it. And personally dealing with insults for me is something I can just shrug right off most of the time. Anything Else You Want to Add: I know that if accepted I would need to have an open mind and learn how things are are done since every forum/community is different once you are actually involved from a staff standpoint.
