Axton Florent- 90 Acel Delrico- 475 Welp, shit.
-
Anything on Acel Delrico, for those that remember when I actually played him(And will return to doing so again at some point probably), and the newer guy Axton Florent, who is still being developed? This could certainly help with him, because I'm not so sure where I want to go with the guy.

Just tossing it in that you only need one person to convert people, and the three words for the rune(The starting words are randomized I believe, so the third person probably didn't impact this part), and you're golden. However, not getting a third word can make discovering new ones harder. Not impossible, but certainly more difficult. So there's that.

Complaint - Security team/Command Of Secret 3rd May.
Ryfer replied to mirkoloio's topic in Complaints Boards Archive
I tried to explain to you that your actions have consequences when you ahelped, but you weren't hearing any of it because you were angry. I told you that it's expected to happen when you kill to people, and proceed to excessively resist arrest in any way you can, and threaten people when arrested. As an antag, there's always a high chance of you ending up in a position like that. I've spent entire rounds in a straightjacket as a ling, because that's how people are probably going to react to a creature that is capable of all sorts of terrifying things. It really won't be different with a vampire that keeps using it's powers. However, I can say that giving a little bit of cooperation goes a long way. If you'd have stopped resisting and just played along with security, I'm sure you would have had a chance somewhere. Essentially, prove yourself to be a threat and people are going to treat you like one. I said all of this before our talk abruptly ended when my internet died for a bit, which I apologize for. -
This is something that we've required for a long time now, as people do what they're supposed to be doing way too much. I really wish people would disappear into maintenance more to make the sexy and there has been a horrible lack of that. ps I wan 2 erp lamarr +11 thank

Alright,to begin I want to clear up that nobody was being 'beaten to a pulp' by a stun baton. Someone got hit once or twice after they clawed the hell out of the HoP, and it had finished by the time you started blowing up in LOOC over it. I don't believe that you had any reason to do so other than you were just angry with the situation, which is understandable to some degree because it really got out of hand, though not exactly right. Another thing, telling someone to move ICly and not being specific when doing so, just to cancel the removal of cuffs, probably is very confusing in character. Playing a head of staff and being a mod can be rough(Especially one as stressful as the HoS), though I don't believe that you had many things to tend to that round. Honestly, it doesn't seem to be a valid excuse. The most I remember you doing is explaining yourself for a situation earlier in the round, but not much else. On top of that, you've been told in the past that you may want to avoid heads due to it being stressful if I remember correctly. It shouldn't have happened in the first place, as problems like this aren't rare. You've straight up quit the round as HoS due to this mixed with other issues. You seem confused as to why you were being flashed and stunned, but you have to keep in mind that unnecessary use of force will usually be met with more force. As the RD that round, I tried to simply speak with you twice after doing utterly nothing to you, and you unloaded a taser on me before I could get a word out. Of course people are going to view you as hostile if you are acting hostile, that is how it works after all. As for being judged, it should be expected. You are on trial to become a member of staff, I'd imagine that's a time when you're going to be judged the most. You're made out to be the bad guy because you essentially were in this situation. Let me explain. Many, many people have been turned into creatures or cyborgs and wish to return to their old selves. The HoS, who doesn't know a thing about what is going on, and refuses to listen to anyone, takes the staff and locks himself and it away in his office. Everyone who wants to turn back is now locked away from the only hope of doing so. This is what caused the situation in security, as it just kept people from resolving anything whatsoever. Just caused a lot more conflict that wasn't needed at all.

I can start conversations just fine IC, though I've noticed a lot of people seem to have issues with upholding them. I was always curious if that was a character's flaw, or the person just couldn't do it OOCly. I have trouble with conversations out of character, but it doesn't effect me IC.

This would be pretty cool as an item RnD could make later on. Though I wonder, is adding new stuff to create in the prolathe something that could be done easily, if this was made?

Scholar's New Head Whitelist Application
Ryfer replied to The Storyteller's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
Scholar wouldn't be good for this, as such a BIG STUPID NERD would never be fit for a head whitelist. Especially one that smells so much. Being serious however, Scholar is a good friend of mine and I have seen him in action on many different characters. Not once have I thought him incompetent from an OOC perspective, but rather the opposite, as his knowledge of in-game mechanics is fantastic. ICly, he is spectacular with roleplay, to a degree that often makes me envious; especially as an antag, and I'm sure he can bring the same skill to head positions. +1, filthy scrub. -
Might as well add mine, since I plan on returning for a long while now. Acel Delrico- French, kind, laid back Cheif Engineer. Smokes like a chimney and tries to make friends with anyone who isn't a massive asshole. Known for getting hit by emitters a lot in his early days by some of medical, which has caused a lot of him to be burn scars. Vladimir Baryshnikov- Russian EMT with a bad temper and habit of being defiant. Prone to violence if prodded at enough, though he's friendly to those who don't piss him off. Lane Davis(Big Red Dummy)- Scrawny scientist that is a bit socially awkward. Lost a hand playing with chemicals, along with his eyes, because the goggles, they do nothing. He has stupid red hair and even stupider red mechanical eyes because he's a dummy and likes the look. Laurent Beaumont- French security officer, very quiet most of the time. Gets annoyed easily by the people in his deparment. Can be cocky, but usually just around his brother, to get under his skin.

I didn't expect this sort of question here, but I will answer to the best of my ability. Unfortunately, Security is my least played department on Aurora so it's a bit difficult to go into a method. When I do play, I usually end up talking to the person and telling them their charges, which leads them to walk along to security willingly most of the time, or with a minimal amount of force. I've never quite gotten the chance to deal with larger criminals, so I don't have specific methods for that whatsoever. Once getting them in security, I get them through processing and then hand them off to the warden for the actual jailing.

Basic Information Byond Account: Ryfer. Character Name(s): Acel Delrico, Lane Davis, Vladimir Baryshnikov, Laurent Beaumont. AI Name(s): N/A Preferred means of contact: Skype, steam, forum pm. Age: 19 Timezone: Central. When are you on Aurora?: On weekdays I'll be around at around at 4PM through around 2-3AM. Weekends, I'll most likely be on until 6AM or later. Experience How long have you played SS13?: Around two years. How long have you played on Aurora: Five months-ish. How much do you know about SS13 (Baystation build) game mechanics?: I know a very good deal of the mechanics in just about every department, barring just a few things in science. (Mainly genetics and toxins work.) Do you have any experience moderating for an SS13 server?: A small amount on trinity station, though the amount of players was around five usually. All in all, probably much different than what Aurora will be. Have you ever been banned, and if so, how long and why?: I never have been. Personality Why do you play SS13?: I play ss13 because it gives a feel unlike any other games I've found, with a wonderful mix of game-play and role-play. It's something interesting that I have honestly been unable to find anywhere else, at least done as well as it is here. It offers so much to do, so many different situations, and of course just the ability to role-play as a futuristic space-engineer...which is pretty damn neat on it's own. Why do you play on Aurora?: I came to Aurora because I wanted to find a server that had order and heavy rp, and I found it. The staff appeared to keep everything well under control, most of the people were just calm and laid back. Coming from a medium rp server at the time, this was something very new and nice to me. For that reason, I stuck around, and found that I really enjoyed the whole idea of heavy rp. Staying so deep in character is a wonderful time and keeps me interested, especially with how well most people on aurora role-play. What do moderators do?: Moderators to me, essentially watch over the players to keep control of any situations that may arise or help with mechanic-related questions if within their knowledge. They should also set an example for players, as they would be held to a higher standard. I also believe they generally make life a bit easier for the admins, which is a reason I'm interested. What does it mean to be a moderator for our server?: I see being a moderator for Aurora as more or less similar to any other server, with watching over the community whilst being a part of it. That being said, Aurora is a heavy rp server, so it would include making sure proper roleplay is maintained, which may be less focused on with others. Why do you want to be a moderator?: I'd like to become a bit more of a part of the community, and I feel this is certainly a good way to do that. Not only this, but I've noticed there has been a demand for people in deadhour, which I'm on during partially, and would like to help ease up the load during that time. What qualities do you possess that would make you a good moderator?: I have a general ability to remain level-headed in most situations, and like to work things out with simply talking them over with people. I enjoy teaching people how to do things and generally helping them out, and would happily jump at the chance to do so most of the time. How well do you handle stress, anger, or insults?: As I said before, I'm generally calm and don't become angered easily. If stress ever does get to me, I try to carry out and see the end of a situation without letting it effect anything, and then step away from it. It takes a lot for me to become stressed, usually. Insults will almost never effect me, considering that none would mean much to me whatsoever. Anything Else You Want to Add: J'aime baguette

Hey Xander. I remember the incident pretty clearly, you weren't attacked, I was actually unarmed. I was in the room with turrets(Can't think of the exact name.) trying to break through after I had of course turned them off; though you turned them on and I was shot with quite a few lethal hits before you turned it to stun. When I got out, you didn't have anything more to say than I shouldn't be up there and left because there were threats to the station. A minute or so later of laying on the ground in paincrit I admitted to being syndicate over comms which wasn't even my choice, another syndicate had kinda blown that cover, to which you promptly returned and shot me to death while I lay on the ground unable to move; without saying another word. I believe I even tried to ICly speak to you but you just continued firing until I was far into critical condition. It's not like I dislike you or hold a grudge, just kinda was a bit of an annoyance, ruined my round since there was still quite a bit of rp to be had. Not to say I don't want this to be approved, just clearing up the situation. Either way, people have bad days and such. I think you're a good rper from most of my interactions, if a bit abrasive sometimes, and mistakes happen. I'd support this unban, for what it's worth as just a normal player, it's been awhile and people just slip up here and there.

HellMOO - SS13 as a Text-Based Apocalyptic RPG (May be NSFW)
Ryfer replied to Frances's topic in Other Games
This is for rusty, mostly. Shimoji Kikoman reaches into his pocket and throws a handful of sand into Scrub's face. "Pocket sand!" Shimoji Kikoman swings his katana wildly in Scrub's direction Blood trickles from Shimoji Kikoman's back. Blood trickles from Shimoji Kikoman's back. Shimoji Kikoman crumples to the ground, gasps out his last breath, and dies. -
Good thing it was a 20+ round, so Acel lives for twenty more years to keep hating Leo, at least.

I've spent a couple of months with Firrrstact and the character Na'Khar, who was pretty much my main source for character interaction for a long time; having been on a less active server for some time. I've seen him roleplay quite a bit and can fairly say it's above average, for sure. He's wonderful about staying in character and knows how to roleplay a tajaran, being one to often give advice on general things before due to how much he knew the lore; having found it important for the species he played. I only saw Na'Khar for around two months of the years he's been around but I can tell that he's a character without many odd, snowflakey flaws, just fairly normal overall.

Better fired than being a wuss. Dead, that's debatable. Everything about that blob removal went wrong, though. Everything.

Storyteller's Unathi Whitelist
Ryfer replied to The Storyteller's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
I'll vouch, I've had several months of experience with scholar on many different servers; the last of which being where Artyom was created, early on in us being there. That being said, I can fairly say I've gotten quite a bit of experience viewing his roleplay and it can be some of the best I've seen, if he's being serious, which I'm sure he'd do with an unathi. The character up as an example is already well-developed as he said and brings something a bit unique amongst crews without being absolutely ridiculous; which is fun, from my experience. So yeah, plus one thingy or whatever. -
Yeeeees. Juggernaut will be forever remembered.

Acel was just in the room to watch the explosions, next he knew the bomb Vira sent off fucked his break up. He just had a very "Well shit" feeling once he heard. Then twenty fuckin` meteors hit the station and he was a bit sad. Also, Meowy died but who actually cares

[Processing] A dagger for ceremonies AND a book for shadows.
Ryfer replied to Tainavaa's topic in Denied Apps
From my experience Tina is a fun character to interact with and she messed with the staff quite often, so I think this could work wonderfully for rp with her character. I enjoyed every time I actually got to speak and rp with Tina a bit so she's left a pretty positive impression after all of it; despite most of the meetings being brief because I got hurt for being a doofus and she had to fix it up. Anyhow, I support it, sounds like a very interesting item overall for a good character played by a decent rper. +1. -
Does the cologne not work to cover it up? God dammit. Fine. Daily showers. Duck give me my hug already.

Acel was going through AskMe, thinking of possibly using it to offer questions on himself when he noticed Lockie`s. A window opened revealing a man with handsome features; glowing green eyes with a thin face and a muscular body. His looks were somewhat ruined however by a large amount of scars scattered across his neck, lower jaw, and arms. Lockie would know of these scars already. He wore a white tank top along with an engineering armband and light blue jeans. On his end, it could be seen that he was in a room with dark orange walls and soft light coming from the ceiling. There is a single person bed in the corner that is neatly made; the bed it'self white with orange covers that matched the wall. By this point his favorite color would be clear. He had a dresser beside the bed, and in the opposite corner of his room was a table with something that looked vaguely like an engine; at least as someone with experience could tell. It had several additional parts laying around it that most likely hadn't been built in yet. Acel`s glowing green eyes looked directly through the screen, and he spoke with a lit cigarette hanging from the corner of his mouth. "Hello mon ami! How have you been? Better be getting some relaxation in for once...have you relaxed at all?" He looked at her with a smile, leaning back slightly and taking a drag on his cigarette. He looked back, patiently awaiting an answer.
