NebulaFlare's Head Application
nanotoxin replied to NebulaFlare's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
she returns! Nebula's one of my favourite players on the station, and is one of the people of whom I try to learn from the most. Looking forward to having her around again. -
I haven't seen much about it, and considering we're getting a new map and this is a big idea, I don't expect it to be implimented any time soon. Telescience has been a big anomaly in my mind. I've only just been taught by Ejunderscore on how to do it and I love it. Now I'm not asking we change they way it's done, because I like that it requires the math, but telescience as a whole could be better. What I think would be best for it would be if it were it's own department. This way we don't have lab assistants coming to the console and stealing all our crystals. With it being it's own department it'll definately have the setbacks of not being able to go xenobiologist, or scientist to get the extra crystals. But why not give it full telecrystals right off the bat, or at least enough to cover the station. Now I think I'm just dreaming with this feature, but what would be a good idea is a feature in the pda where you requested telesciences assistance, it could be a different console or perhaps in the same console where it tells you who the pda belongs to, and the coordinates of it when it was requested.

Also, I was an IPC that round, and since there isn't a suit cooling thing-a-ma-bob on the station, it's not like I can be anything other than the driver. Bokaza's plan was to lure all of security to misc research, blow them all up, then card the ai. What actually happened was I told Kat to get the ai upload circuit so we could convert the Ai to our cause. We had the Ai lock down the security team, so it didn't matter.

I'm not sure if you just commented without reading .. or what .. but it's creating more RP opportunity I'd think people would say Nuke is shit because most rounds go a little something like this -bomb armoury -bomb cargo -take hostage -call ert -ert kills nuke ops -evac Again, I go back to the station for chair rp with myself, and now, the other nuke ops, instead of having chair rp, are now in a fun, new situation. Assuming, from your signature, that you're the one who plays jauntla. You were just a nuke op last night iirc, and you sent us a bomb (through telescience +1 for creativity however) you took hostages, and ended up being unsuccesful agaisnt the ERT. I heard that there was some fun RP on the syndi shuttle though, but the rest of the station was forced to deal with a huge hole in the ground, and HONK! HONK! HONK!(again kudos). The reason some people hate nuke is repitition.

Well voltage had told me people were complaining and had complained in the past. I made this incase they wished to discuss
-
This last round, yes I admit, I didn't RP the ditching very well. I was rushed and feeling flustered as they were bringing hostages and the ERT was on it's way. But my previous rounds I had done so, and fairly well I think. One round even more RP was brought about for the security and ERT as the ones who were left behind gave up the cords to the syndi base and the security team and ERT had come raided the base arresting me and taking back all that was stolen.

Well, Instead of stun batoning, I'm fairly certain SoP says use flashes, then batons, then tazers if need be. So I would've switched that up there. I wouldn't have taken the advice of the borg, and I woudld've noticed that Aris wasn't speaking on her radio, so there'd be no reason to take them both in. Obviously since i didn't take them in, the rest of this is hypothetical. If I were to lose my voice, I would've played it off as, "Oh wow, I've been shouting at this guy a lot, I've probably just gone hoarse" Not "I know you did, I know it's some magical stuff, I can't prove it, but I know you did and I'm going to question you about it anyways." Then, even then, if I was still arresting them, I would've brought them to the processing room, the room just up above the warden office, because really, I don't have anything to charge them with. Even on the way there, we asked you and the borg repeatedly to tell us our charges, neither of you responded.(The silent sting should've worn off by the time we left science, you just kept Me'ing so you couldn't know if you could talk or not). So lets say after all that, I still decided to put them in the brig, I would've questioned the other one, or thought the one in the cell was a clone, as there was a geneticist onboard. If I for some reason still decided to keep travis bucklecuffed to the bed, I would've at least tried to talk to both of the travis' instead of telling the borg to bring the person to the incinerator. I can understand after seeing me in the bar that you'd take me to the brig and question me, but you changed your attitude competletely towards davis.

1.I'm not lying the engineer even said wtf in looc 2. That is not a lie, you started hitting us both literally one square up and to the left from the top of the xeno table 3. I wasn't rewording it. Your words in looc were that you needed to think, and ICly an officer wouldn't do that. What I Was saying is that instead of placing them both in cells, you'd take them to the processing room. 4. You didn't say anything to make me believe the contrary as to that was what you were offering to happen. Incase you weren't aware, there's no sarcasm font 5. I'm not sure if you're new to this game or if it's someting that's strictly on this server, but it says "X is speaking into the X headset" when someone around you speaks into the their headset, and nobody in the room was saying anything remotely close to what was being said on the radio, so that knocks out the possibility of a station bounced radio. **just as an edit I'm not replying to any more "that's a lie" statements

I'll just reply real quick to all these points 1. Borg stunned me first then when i was up and talking, you walked over and stunned me the moment you saw me. 2. The borg game in, stunned Aris, then we were standing there. He allowed you in and then you stunned us both. You could clearly see that it wasn't Aris talking on the headset. and you stunned us both as we were above the table. Then you started to arrest us cause you needed to make sure it wasn't Aris talking. Arrest me for no reason at all. Once we were leaving Xeno, infront of misc, I silent stung you, and you were informed by an admin that it was a silent sting. You then procceded to beat us with the stun batons there, we even called for Anatu Parish's help as you were doing so. 3. "Because I need to think" is not a valid reason to arrest someone. There is a processing room interrogation room, and there's even the room in the lobby with beds, but an officer who arrested someone because they're flustered is not a good reason. 4.You trying to salvage the situation was saying you'd let me out or let me kill you. It'd kill the game if you did that it wasn't something that coudl've been fixed, i just shouldn't have been in the brig in the first place. 5. I can sort of agree with you on that, but with the other voice on the radio copying everyone, I don't think that the journalist would've been the first though.

BYOND Key: Nanotoxin Player Byond Key: Das_boot Reason for complaint: Metagaming Approximate Date/Time: 5:50 am EST 28/2/2014 So I was a changling this round, and there was only one officer on the station and one security borg. (I'm not writing an incident report or complaining about anyone other than the officer) The round started with my character Chaos Baylock telling Travis Davis, who was sitting out side her library, that she didn't want any of his kinky tajaran fetish crap going on in her library. Travis then promptly threw a telescrystal at Chaos, like travis does. Chaos then reported it to the officer, while spitting disgusting profanities granted, and the end verdict, the officer said he put a restraining order on Chaos and the science department, and if she went within three feet of the science department that she'd be arrested. So she complied and stayed in the library, then davis walks in, and just before he throws another crystal, Chaos snaps a picture of him with the crystal in his hand, then he teleported chaos again. Chaos then called security again, and showed him the picture. and the officer released travis because "It's the officers discretion to make arrests." I could understand all this to a point. But when I ended up absorbing travis as a changling, was when he really started meta gaming. I walked out of the bar and he promptly came up stunned me with a stun baton. Then I was taken to the brig and interrogated by said officer and shouted at, after he had been so nice to the real travis. Aris and I then went to xenobio and then the officers come barging in because someon copied Aris' voice over comms. Then, while standing right infront of Aris, capable of hearing that she wasn't speaking, he stun batoned us, multiple times and took Aris and I to the brig "Because he had to be sure" I then silent stung him, and once he got his voice back, he said that we injected or stung him with something to make him not talk. I ahelped but at that point it was too late because the real travis was revived and I was buckle cuffed to the cell bed. The result of the ahelp was skull telling me that I had four minutes left on the timer. And as I'm sitting here writing this,in the body of travis davis, he's saying that I need to be taken to the incinerator and that I'm actually the journalist. I tried talking to him LOOCly but I couldn't understand anything he was saying

I grabbed the role of leader/coordinator as soon as the opportunity presented itself so that way I could hatch the plan in my favour. (there were four members including myself) We were to send two people to xeno bio to plant a bomb and wait for my mark to detonate it. I was going to detonate it before one of the members broke into the maintenance tunnel and broke into secure tech storage and steal the Ai upload circuit. We would then use the Ai to grant us access and keep us safe as we looted the station. Of course, before we finished entirely, i would leave with them still on the station. Of course it was going to plan until the two that went to blow up xeno brought back hostages.when just before they had called an ERT. I then had to wait for them to bring the second hostage, panicing that the ERT was coming. So I told them to go raid the armoury, and once they had gotten into the station, I took off to the mining asteroid. talked to the other operatives about "thanks for the loot, i'm not programmed with sharing (I was an IPC) " Then yeah. Went back to the sydni base. One of the hostages was getting lippy, and since we had to hostages, i killed the lippy one. The other then broke free of the cuffs, managed to disarm me in one attempt, snatch my ID, and go and hide on the shuttle. If it wasn't for Valk speaking to me I would've tried coaxing the tree out of the shuttle, but I was focused on defending my actions, so the RP for us on the syndi base went stale. The thing in common however with my ditching is that it happens after the ERT is called, so it'd be safe to assume the others are dead

So, I play nuke ops once in a blue moon, and when I do, I do, I do something that seems to get people upset. What I do is I have the rest of the nuke ops gather everything onto the station, wether it be the nuke contents, hostages, engines or whatever it may be, I then send them back to grab something else that's irrelevant and then I "leave them" at the aurora and take off with the loot/hostages. Now I've been told that this "isn't really good rp" "poor RP" "Poor Behaviour" and "/very/ poor RP" and I'd like to speak about it To start off, I mostly just circle the station. I don't generally just go straight back to base. Still giving them a chance to get back on board and give Keys what he deserves for threating to abandon them. Secondly, it creates RP scenarios for the operatives left behind instead of going back to the base to just chair RP. Sure they'll get satly IC and OOC but they're not just sitting in the sydni base. Thirdly, I do my best to RP with hostages if I have them. This round that just passed for example, the tree just disarmed me and took my id, to get on the shuttle and call for help. If I wasn't speaking to Valk however, i possibly could've tried to talk to them.

With the increasing alchoholics, chronic smokers, and drug addicts on the station, coding in addictions would be a good addition. Going from least to highest you could have a small craving, quite the craving, or a huge craving for X product. In the character creation screen, "Addictiveness" could be coded in, so it's not just as much as an rng thing. The more of an addiction you have, the more it hurts coming off of it. You could raise a fever. The sweats, hallucinations, aching pains, spasms, foaming of the mouth, and the more of an addiction you get, the more of the withdrawal effects you get and the worse they are.

Reporting Personnel:Lis'beth B'kai Rank of Reporting Personnel:Scientist Personnel Involved: Phoebe Essel, Lab Asisstant Time of Incident: Location of Incident: Research Department Nature of Incident: []Workplace Hazard []Accident/Injury []Destruction of Property [x]Neglect of Duty [x]Harassment []Assault []Misconduct []Other _____ (Place an x in the box that applies. If other, replace line and specify.) Overview of the Incident: Phoebe Essel has signed up as a lab assistant for the research and development department for quite some shifts now, and she hasn't seen Essel do hardly any work. She talks to people aaalll shift and takes up space where other asisstants could come in and actually help and learn. She asked Essel to come and help as she was speaking to her friend Lachina Greene and when asked to actually do work this shift, she pushed her and closed the airlock in her face. When asked why she comes to the station if she doesn't do work, she insulted the way she speaks, refusing to answer the question. Did you report it to a Head of Staff or IAA? If so, who?: Nup, none were on. Additional notes: (If there are none simply leave it blank)

Reporting Personnel:Ryu'daken Mo'Taki Rank of Reporting Personnel:Head of security Personnel Involved: Ash Callahan - Security Cadet Time of Incident: Location of Incident: Washroom - Holodeck Nature of Incident: [x]Workplace Hazard []Accident/Injury []Destruction of Property [x]Neglect of Duty []Harassment []Assault [x]Misconduct []Other _____ (Place an x in the box that applies. If other, replace line and specify.) Overview of the Incident: He head heard reports of Ash Callahan eating a jelly and acting irrational, calling for Jade Rathel to come to him and the bathrooms. He assumes he consumed a sort of drug. At the begining of the shift he told his security team that he didn't want any drinking done by the security team, as it would cloud their judgment and cause them to act irrational. Ash Callahan was found with a half empty glass of wine in his pockets when he was searched at the holodeck during a boxing match. When he was being prepared for being demoted, he had his belt confiscated, and it was reveald he had a full set of securrity officer gear, which after it was raided, he told the cadets to return it. Did you report it to a Head of Staff or IAA? If so, who?: Ryu'daken - Head of Security Additional notes: He wants Callahan off his force. He is causing disturabances like this while he is only a cadet. He does not wish to see him as an officer

Reporting Personnel:Ryu'Daken Mo'Taki Rank of Reporting Personnel:Head of Security Personnel Involved: Ryu'daken Mo'taki - Head of Security, Travis Davis - Xenobiologist Time of Incident: (If unable to provide, leave blank) Location of Incident:Telescience Nature of Incident: []Workplace Hazard []Accident/Injury []Destruction of Property []Neglect of Duty []Harassment []Assault [x]Misconduct [x]Other petty theft (Place an x in the box that applies. If other, replace line and specify.) Overview of the Incident: He was helping the cmo deal with a viral infection, when he saw and heard things teleporting around. He checked the security camera's when he left virology and witnessed travis davis on the security cameras with a security cameras console in his department. With out permission from the only heads of staff online (Himself and Charlie Dove - CMO) he built the console. He announced that he was writing up an arrest warrant for Davis over security comms, and the second he did, davis took apart the machine and teleported the circuitry away. He was charged for petty theft and was given a reduction as he admitted to stealing it. He will include the transcript from his interview with davis. Did you report it to a Head of Staff or IAA? If so, who?: Ryu'daken Mo'taki - Head of Security Additional notes: He is unsure how, and was unable to prove it, but he thinks Davis had stolen a headset where he was capable of hearing the security communications channel.

You should post all the artwork you've already done

Perhaps there could be more random virus events like the ones that mess with security. They could have a way to combat those. and on the flip side, if say it was an antag round, they could send virus. IPC's are immune to diseases, and it's a staple in the IPC features, but perhaps they could get virus' or glitches that could be repaired by the IT. Nothing too harmful, possibly every third word is ****'d out or something like that.

I think it was the fact we were on skype during the whole ordeal. They classified it as metagaming. -
I think I'm only on my third day of being a tajaran/Mo'Taki, but I think it'd be cool to have another guy mo'taki on board along side Ryu. I definately agree that adding them too fast will look ludacris, but Kiwi's got my +1 for whenever is decieded to add more

It was the one day ban. I didn't go back afterwards. I stayed on Aurora p.s. sorry for the late response -
I need to be added as well

So hear me out, I think that the Aurora would do well with an IT department. I know you're gonna say "that's this persons job, or these people can do it themselves." But it's about the arpee. It'd be a great way for some interesting roleplaying. They could replace PDA's so there wouldn't have to be as many Ahelps. It could be an IC virus or something, perhaps if the bug is fixed, a random virus could be implimented. They could replace the toners, fax machines, request consoles. They could build computers for people, and do all the circuitry for them. I know this isn't the most in depth explanation or anything, but it's just a teeny snowflake that i'm hoping people will add to and will snowball and hopefully get thrown in
