Reason for Appeal: The situation which brought this occurance into being was a huge mess, honestly, We all did something wrong, and it turned into a downwards spiral of stress. I know better than to pull shit like that at all now, and, of course, I know to drop my accusations of metagame. I no longer stand by my decision to do such action with a gun, and I will strive to only pull a weapon on someone when nessecary. I will keep in mind to make sure my evidence is completely solid to make sure that the case isn't waved off like this again, and I will avoid overreacting in such volitile ways in the future. I've been working on this sort of behaviour for a while. Plus, the best way to get better at detective in relation to the rules of this server is to play detective on this server. Not to mention, No warnings or anything I can easily access pop up in relation to the ban when I investigate it, but I blame it on a glitch in the system, Because I know Ingcog is quite compitent. I will, however, state that the situation was a mess for pretty much everyone involved. Along with it being somewhat my fault, it's likely also the fault of some degree of misscommunication and different levels of knowledge about corporate regulations, along with some new engineer being ungodly incompitent and stupid. So, yeah. However, I will try to make sure such a situation goes better next time. As you likely expect, I will be making an effort to prevent any behaviour like this in the future, and I will correct any errors in my actions which you bring up. Also, I don't see any warnings noting a potential future security jobban, but that's likely irrelevant.

Alright, lets disect this for a sec. But wait, there's more! I often see Cherry do things like perform validhunting behaviors (mainly asking the Warden for weapons and attempting to make arrests alone as Detective), go above SOP and around the chain of command (mentioned earlier as commanding the commanding staff and commanding the Warden to give out weapons, again, as Detective), and in general perform acts and general actions that are unfitting of a character, whether simple employee of NanoTrasen or loyal Security member. This includes Cherry lying directly to an interim Head of Security, saying they have no crimes and a completely clean record on NanoTrasen stations, when they had been arrested and given canon infractions earlier that same day. YOu do realise that i can choose if that's cannon or not, right... Lastly, I'd like to add one more slight comment in. I've interacted with Reyn's character Wendi Bunten as well, this was during the event where the NSS Aurora, then known as NSS Aurora II, was announced to the NSS Exodus's crew. I was playing as Roboticist, Masuno Kukarumo. When the head engineer of NanoTrasen came aboard the ship and began their speech, there was a period of time where a bunch of people were PDAing each other and ringers were going off left and right. Masuno proceeded to shut off his PDA's ringer, keeping the messenger on. Lo and behold, I got a message in the middle of the speech from Wendi Bunten, a simple "heya". I ignored the message until after the speech, when I proceeded to message Wendi Bunten back asking what the message was about. They responded saying that they 'just wanted to hear what their (Wendi's own) ringer sounded like.' I proceeded to try to RP with them, thinking that they were perhaps somebody completely new to the game but got nothing after. I'd like to say 'to be fair, Reyn may well have been new to the game at the time,' but this was less than two weeks ago by my count. In my opinion, somebody who was new to the game then should well be considered to be at least fairly new to the game now. We were fucking about at that point anyways /b] While we're on the topic of 'canon,' I have seen Reyn's characters twice ask their arresting officer to kill them outright, and imply over LOOC and deadchat shortly after they are arrested or killed respectively that they want to die so their crimes are not made canon. Interestingly, this happened once while Reyn, as Cliff Whittier, was a Head Loyalist, and therefore the crimes were non-canon anyways. This was pretty much always when i was antag, and if it wasn't, i'll try to fix it. I've seen enough of Reyn's behavior to potentially even file a player complaint but I really do not want to go that far, however if an admin feels a need to look into this, I am willing to talk. I would however much rather see Reyn get a simple reality check and placed on the right path when it comes to roleplay, than have actual actions taken against them, because despite the amount of negative I have seen with this one player, I do believe effort can be made to improve their actions and their roleplay ability in general. I've been improving. Trust me. But hey, i don't blame you, hell, i even appreciate the criticism.

Ok, real talk here, He's a nice dude. I've interacted with him OOC a bit in discord, he's a fun guy to know, Plus, He seems like he'd be fun to hang out with.

Losing all your memories of who you are after cloning, like a certain tajaran HOS did once for rp, or cloning lobotomizes you (Stupid idea likely though) or cloning has a chance of failure.

Open ended when it comes to lore and culture, and it has extremely interesting gameplay differences from humans. Being a machine has quite a few advantages and disadvantages, feeds into roleplay, and adittionaly, I would like to play a machine race which isn't borgs, along with playing a race which might encounter some biggotry. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: IPCs are machines, they tend to be able to do riskier jobs then humans when it comes to physical trauma and toxins, They feel no pain, are immune to all non damaging and quite a few damaging toxins. Requiring only welding and wires to recover from injuries, in addition to the previously stated lack of pain, Ipcs are extremely good combatants, and have less to worry about when it comes to security work or any risky buisness which doesn't involve extreme heat or vacuum, which causes some issues due to their gas based cooling system. Thus, what counts as a threat to an IPC is quite different. Oh, and of course, Don't let them near EMPs. IPCs Vary massively when it comes to cultural adaptation or social interaction. Character Name: Firewall Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs Industrial Police Unit 12914, Known by the name "Firewall", was manufactured by the company Securitech Incorporated as a special project, the finalization of a new type of police unit of their brand. Their concept was to create a machine officer with a developed personality, with free thinking potential, and capacity for off duty interaction for the sake of having mechanized security officers which are more like actual police with their own personalities, instead of machines with no real emotion or personality, which clients found to be "Too intimidating" or "Unsettling"." Their earlier versions all had some sort of flaw. They make the unit too much like a human officer with just basic law upkeep programing, the unit ends up being unstable when it comes to the quality of their work. Put in regulations as hard coded law, the unit ends up having the flaws they were trying to correct. Eventually, They came up with a plan. A code of honor built into the robot, instead of proper laws. The unit would show distaste to such activities it was programmed to be immoral, while still being able to have a personality which is not too held back by hard coded laws. They would show emotion to a situation which would violate their code of honor, instead of just acting upon laws. They refined this design, and eventually finalized it with the production of Industrial Police Unit #12914 . Programed to have free will with a code of honor, Along with being programmed in interaction with civilians, Hand to hand combat, proper arrest procedure, use of firearms and energy weaponry, and knowledge of proper formalities for an officer, Industrial Police Unit #12914 was tested thoroughly to make sure they were what the customers wanted. And they were. The Unit was given the nickname "Firewall" by the director of the tests, and the name stuck for most of the company. After getting through basic testing with flying colors, Firewall was sold to nanotrasen to work in the field. Firewall cleared cadet training with no problems, and soon displayed skill fitting for a warden. And now, the backstory ends, and the true story of Firewall begins. What do you like about this character? I may or may not have gone absolutely nuts with the backstory. I decided to give this character some affection, and due to how loose the lore is, I took some creative liberties. I find that this character will be quite enjoyable. DATEN went through security training for the sake of formality, and was taught the entirety of corporate regulations. After detaining an entire group of rioters singlehandedly, thanks to taking full advantage of their capabilities as an IPC, they were granted free will, and were transfered to the Aurora station, and are planned to be transfered to another station soon.
