Make it so you can make progressively better bluespace crystals, which makes it More powerful, more percise, more accurate, and less likely to fuck up, and then give it some chance of having an actually somewhat fun fuck up

Isn't there a no weapons rule for custom items? -1

This might just end up as a super fancy murder tool if they do something like that, even more than it's done now. It'll remove all the useful applications of telescience and replace it with a massive fucking grief tool or murder tool which only antags would ever really use. I'd suggest giving it a chance, a rediculously tiny chance, to send people to another dimension or something, or send them to a random location or the derelict instead of the normal goal. Don't make it tedious, make it interesting with how it can screw up. This is bluespace.

So basically You can research normal stuff round by round, But you can unlock new possibilities through persistant effects. Noice. Although I don't like the idea of a non cannon antagonist fucking with that progress, I DO enjoy a concept of having new things (And the fucking lawgivers) locked behind this, But have mostly everything else fine. Hell, I think this should be focused around restricting NEW content and extreme high end content instead of just fucking over higher tech levels. I'd be happy if it adds more than it takes away.
-
We should also be able to unlock things like higher end batteries and drills early on, And other weak but useful items of the sort. Mainly so that IPCS can have decent shit for suit cooling units, and so that people can actually do some jobs well. Also, make sure xenoarch has access to suit cooling units with good batteries Then again... these changes are iffy. New suggestion, make it so you can research like normal for the round, but have normal research dissapear next round, but have persistant allocated points be a thing to give a head start or allow access to even HIGHER tiers of items, or unlock certain items in general. I do however agree with the xenoarch changes. I think.

What's the extended stuff for xenobio? also, the gateway? Is that what xenoarch will do now? can they still do digging around the asteroid, or is it going to be gateway BS only Or is gateway exploring going to be it's own job?

Player Complaint - Talc & ODIN
ReynTheLord replied to Snakebittenn's topic in Complaints Boards Archive
Being an IPC doesn't mean you can get away scott free with just griefing around and being an arsehole. Sure, an ipc CAN potentially have some emotions, But usually, Nanotrasen would weed out ones which act like clowns or cause problems in the workplace. I don't know enough about this situation myself to go further than this by much, But MAN, This is giving me bad memories of bloke 2. A shell IPC who was, Litterally, A bald greyshirt for most of my time spent with them. He tended to tear up floor tiles in the bar, weld people in lockers.... This is likely not as bad as bloke, but it's still giving me bad memories... This isn't good roleplay. -
[1 Dismissal] Remove Healing Effects from Tea
ReynTheLord replied to Ornias's topic in Completed Projects
I never even knew drinking tea healed toxins, honestly. Huh. Seems odd... BUt not too broken. Toxins tend to be a pain in the ass to heal as it is if you aren't brought over to medbay, and Honestly, if someone's drinking fucking barrels of tea, they should probably be bwoinked for metagaming, because people USUALLY wouldn't drink a metric fuckton of tea to recover from toxins. Sure, Sip some tea when toxins damage is present, but don't use it as a fucking medical supply instead of a beverage. Instead of removing healing, just make it so admins pay attention if someone decides to down 50 cups of tea, or hell, even give tea overdose possibility. There are other ways to solve this than removing the healing, which don't require touching the code of the tea too much. -
Usually I just see medical fucking reknit a fucking heart from scratch instead of doing organ transplants, although that's usually because I can only see that little ring around me because, thankfully, medical USUALLY applies anesthetics properly. Have organ donations ever been needed outside of SpessmanMcDrunkasfuck killing their liver? ... Is that even a possibility, now that I think of it?

I've played on servers with gang, CORRECTION, which USED to have gang, because they removed it due to how godawful it was. Let's just say, If you don't like rev, gang is INFINITELY worse. No real rp to it, no real interractions, And I think it's the only gamemode i've seen the antags actively hunt down and fucking take priority in hunting down the janitor without a traitor objective to do so. Jeez...

Isn't it a mechanic that voidsuits can rupture, and when they do, if the person wearing it is in space or on the asteroid outside of the station, they're as good as fucked? Might want to consider that before subjecting miners to potential for that, If that is a thing.

FYI, Everyone, sorry to bring this back up, but the reason I was flashing constantly was MAINLY to get the fucking batshit insane psychologist and his fucking straight jacket away from me. I mean, good grief, The guy was relentless, He sees me visibly flashing people with my eyes, sees me doing shit, and still thinks i'm insane and wants to straight jacket me and put me through either therapy or BDSM... ok that's a joke, It was likely therapy or just him not believing this bs, OR metagaming. Anyways, The flashes were the only things I could use to defend myself from batshitinsanepsychologist when cuffed. Either way, I do now understand why you'd do this, but seriously... This is fucking dark.
-
And that is where you are wrong. At my workplace, you have different days off depending on your religion. So the employer needs to know what your religion is. Why not leave it in records instead of having it on a public ID?
-
Unless some idiot runs a religious purge gimmick on a rev round, the religion on id's BS is mostly useless. I mean, sure, You can keep it on your player setup, But there's no reason a buisiness would need to know someone's religion if they aren't chaplain, outside of knowing they arent *Insert batshit insane cult here* , So yeah, I agree

BYOND Key: Reyntime13 (not relevant) Discord name: Formerly Punished Reyn, If my Discord id Is needed I'll upload once I have it accessable Staff BYOND Key: Alberyk Game ID: N/A Reason for complaint: I did an @absolute madmins In discord, to get admins attention to a meme, probably shouldn't of done that, and If I was warned about this sort of behaviour, or warned that "If I did it again, I'd get a strike." hell, i'd be fine with it if I weren't already at 2 strikes. But no. No warning, no consideration. "Yes it is accurate" as a response to the meme, then ?strike @Reyn. It was just an @ to the admins, yeah it's wrong, but you should at least warn me not to do it again if youre going to strike me for it Evidence/logs/etc: See: discord. See: me removed from main discord Additional remarks: Is it just a kick or a ban, anyways?

BYOND key:ReynTime13 Character names:Javert Pierre, Bethney cherry, R.A.I.D, Mona fisher, Faith Basinger, And many more, too many to list really. How long have you been playing on Aurora?: Quite a while, I don't remember the exact amount of time, however Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: Honestly, I think I'd be a decent head of staff, along with he fact it would be fun Why did you come to Aurora?: Just to have fun and RP, originally Have you read the Aurora wiki on the head roles and qualifications you plan on playing?: Yes Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each. Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about: Roleplaying is acting as a character, adapting their personality and in character knowledge and traits while talking and acting in character, interacting with other people who are also roleplaying as their own characters, and making said roleplay multi sided and fun for all parties involved. Basically, acting but more fun. What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?: The OOC purpose of a head of staff is giving orders, keeping the crew under control, and managing positions which are critical to a round, which not everyone can be responsible with. Generally, they're the ones who do large scale things in the round, like managing staff, or giving accesses, or making decisions outside of admin work. What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: Those with a head of staff whitelist are expected not to abuse their roles as head of staff, specifically, they are to play well and professionally, and generally have a professional standard for their actions, Or, in other words, "They are responsible to lead a division or the entire station, and not be a shitter while doing so" Please pick one of your characters for this section, and provide well articulated responses to the following questions. Character name:Jonathan Alexander Character age: 59 Please provide a short biography of this character (approx 2 paragraphs): Born on Earth,Jonathan Alexander was originally an extremely poor man, Being born in extreme poverty, and even having a slight criminal record, With cases of minor theft and breaking and entering just to sustain himself and his family. However, He begun to learn his way around money after a kind gift from a priest and investing that money in the stock market, gaining knowledge from watching over his investments daily, and viewing the trends in the market, learning of economics from experience and attention, finding paperwork and economics to be a hobby and, for a while, a job. Alexander gained a reputation as a highly skilled economist, A master of the stock markets, With written reports of how every action or policy in sol space could affect the markets, Eventually sending his studies to nanotrasen so he can get an actual job outside of looking at stocks. Nanotrasen liked that, and offered him a job as a quartermaster, which he took. After a good 20 years of working as a quartermaster, Alexander was eventually considered for the role of Head of personell, The debate about the promotion lasting for another 1 year. During that time, Alex noticed a trend in the markets, which, from his studies, which he was still doing, he predicted would lead to a stock market crash, and warned the higher ups at central command about those predictions. Nanotrasen acted on this, which lead to them actually managing to make through the market crash, not only surviving, but actually managing to have an increase in profits while everyone else was having troubles. This event Netted Alexander a role as Head of personnel. What do you like about this character?: Pretty decent backstory by my standards for writing, for the amount of time It took to write it, due to me usually getting writer's block What do you dislike about this character?: Not much to do about personality What do you think makes this character fit to be a head of staff?: Skill in economics and paperwork, and the trust of the company. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions. How would you rate your own roleplaying?: 5-7/10. I do typos, and sometimes leave conversations, but outside of that, my roleplay is relatively good. Extra notes:

So, Vampire round, I get vampire, Long story short, I get caught , and then people start dissecting me. First, they surgically remove my eyes, then they open me up, and all the while, they keep me cuffed and buckled down, Eyeless, radio gone, Being used as a sick lab experiment. Which brings up a discussion. Why doesn't anyone enforce the law for the treatment of antagonists? Is it just a normal thing?

[Accepted] ReynTime13 sec unban
ReynTheLord replied to ReynTheLord's topic in Unban Requests Archive
I was originally secbanned due to shooting someone for destroying evidence they "Didn't like" when they werent antag due to reaction fire being triggered with the aim function. I shouldve probably let the HOS and the rest of sec deal with it, and not use aiming with my revolver to keep the guy still, I shouldve also ahelped that instead of taking it ic.
