  1. This was the main problem which i found on the server. Everyone got blood boiled and didn't even asked why i did such actions. And the idea of my actions was simple. Control or sabotage the station for the other syndicate operators to come aboard and acquire the research, tools, and resources from this station and then move unto further objectives and station Fortune to other station to stand by and wait for further objectives there. And what really really irritates me, people ask questions "Why?" only on brig, by security force, but that round it was nigh imposible, and everyone was focusing being heroes and rush to the main villain unprepared or hot headed, or just being dumb.
  2. So okay. I may not be the most creative antag since there is no objectives given anymore due to objectiveless antags, so stuff like this is nothing common now a days. Hell, if there was even a worse antag then me the whole station would have been swissed cheese in lock downs and bombs. So im going to go steps by steps through these comments. So first things first, we all know of a magical button F1! Do we? Yup! And i hope i do not need to remind you of what that button does on such occasions. Ahelps are really,really really really usefull when such situations happen and ADMINS get on my ass during the rounds if something if literaly f*cked up and needs fixin and in need to contact the antag (for example me). If i did had recieved the Ahelps i would have halted and talked through the situations as to why such cluster f*ck was made in the first place. Don't forget, everyone on coms were all "Fuck you Bloise" or "Bloise you BITCH" and Everoyne came down barging to death borgs. As for your situation as you stated your self, you were quote "Jennifer (who I was playing as) ran into science, assuming they all had gone away" as mentioned, you took trial and error situation because of DOUBT. Okay, you got ganked and you got pissed, but don't forget it was half your problem for not letting Admins know and half the problem was due to your lack of interest on what was going on around and lack of information if the place was completely safe or not. On that, i cannot help you and you ended up dead. Borgs came into RnD to clear it out from everyone so no one disturbs my forward base of operation and possibility to repair my borgs. Onto next subject. Onto Rusty's one. That round was months ago, and i can barely even remember the details. But i know that all it takes is one person for everyone to flip shit up, and that round was actually interesting. People were dealing with one crazy person who all wanted to do is to kill Jennifer Bellard. The whole situation was hecktick but people some how kept on. And when i got killed everyone started to go and at atleast safely return to central command, after experiencing one of dramatic situations. Everyone was involved, and everyone RP'd from my knowledge, of course i had to kill some people due to fact they could have posed danger to me. As i mentioned again, this is a game. It is hard to make both parties to have fun, for the preys and the ones who prey on weak. If you can do it, i might as well give you a medal, literaly, but i have my own playstyle, and i see game from my perspective, of course trying my best to follow all rules.
  3. Allrighty, before this even goes to any deeper shenanigans and more duller before people spout stuff that everyone will accept later (because that's how humans work). Time to bring some light in. Let's see with what should i start explaining or talk about through. Yes the skills on Fortune. 22 skill points as exceptional, sure okay. It can seem a lot, and can be tweaked, but here's a thing. As a Roboticist, it is reasonable they know how to do IT, electrical, and complex devices (Look at the description once in a time when you're in the lobby on what they are about) As for the EVA, i put it because Fortune needs to sometimes do repairs on Ripley, or cyborgs if something has ever happened. Medicine, and anatomy due to fact she has to know first aid and how to cut brains out. So..Next point, the ranged weaponry skill, fine, sure, i can remove it, since i haven't used the weapon in the round we had. And since it is a bit tad to much knowledge. So...Now that skill BS is gone and out of the way, let's start with the round itself! Technically speaking, i didn't killed you, but my cyborgs did, and they had a simple objective to clean out RnD, and then you just came and you got your brains splattered the floor. So, on one side, it was your own fault in getting such situation. So it's "Wrong time, wrong place" Situation for you. Sure, fine, you got killed, shit happens. Next stop! The people themselves! So.. We have a station with a hacked AI and three lethal and fully armed Cyborgs that can make you into a swiss cheese. What do people do? Go and pretend to be heroes and try killing them! Everyone is now a f*cking Hero and thinks they can take things into their own hands while at the same time there is a thing called Security. Guess we forgot about it, but ghosts knew the HoS was killed twice, and there was only a detective at the time who was active. As for the engineering and medical crew (Chemists) Everyone came to Cyborgs with bloody baseball bats! And EMP mixtures! And then they had them selves f*cked over the fact that Fortune wanted to Clone Syrus and go away, while others tried to stop the "maniacal b*tch" while having their asses lasered. Now for the Genetical part about cloning Syrus. Let's head back to the SKILL list. And Information skill. Describes your understanding of computers, software and communication. Not a requirement for using computers, but definitely helps. Used in telecommunications and programming of computers and AIs. So a person knows how to assemble computers and use them doesnt know how to do cloning things? Sure maybe my medical skill was low and i may have powergamed there, so that's a thing im willing to take in mind. But now knowing how to use a simple console and figure simple stuff? Then i must say this is like some sort of Caveman poking through cave with a stick waiting for miracles. Also as for me playing as an antag. Here's a thing. Most rounds, i am always quiet and do non sensical things, that doesn't include murder and alot of chaos (EXCEPT as changelings with tons of hallucination stings, which is fun). Power gaming? Maybe, but i at least knew my limits that round, and only did things that i knew were in my limits. For the end game time where half the station was injured or dead? I truthfully blame them, because of doing non-logical things and not imagining this wasn't a real life and acted like heroes and throwing their lives away. Of course, it may have been my fault for not being to much RP interacted with things that happened, but then again, MOST OF THE TIME PEOPLE CANNOT RP NORMALY ON ANTAG ROUNDS WHEN PEOPLE ARE DYING IN THE MIDDLE OF ACTION. Let's not brag that some people can can do it, and the whole round was a huge cluster f*ck. As for Golless comment, that happened ages ago when there was greentext's and i am sure i was notified on that thing not to do that in the near future, and there are no more Exoskeletons FYI. Also. Let's not forget something very inportant about this game. The games description sais "Stay alive in Spacestation 13" So here comes a question to all the brave people who died to stop the cyborgs, what went wrong and why. -sighs- Whew..this is a long post i made in a long time. Also FYI i do not make tons of weapons and go around shooting like some sort of COD type game. I could have, but i didn't because of numerous reasons. You want a person who stacks guns sh*t that high, go look to scientists who likes having their guns in bags at the end of the round. Also on the Cyborgs on gunning people down. They followed my orders. They had simple objectives and orders and they obeyed. So even if you died with out a second to Me or Say, sorry, what's done is done.

  6. The one of many problems is, having people hoarding them selves with E-guns just to deal with the threat. I would like to see you carry seven 5-7 Kg in your bag so you can deal with the threat. What you will already notice, you wont even have the space to get em in, second is, getting the gun from the bag. Quiet time consuming. (Of course that is compared to reality) But since this is 2Dspessmen, no logic required because f*ck logic. The laser coils/mags/cells are meant to bring some meaning for the weapons at all, not just mindless hoarding and who ever has more guns, wins. This is to balance the hoarding away, and bringing something new to armory.

It was the main idea, but excluding that research research the power cells, but the fact that power cells are already there, and scientists by upgrading power manipulation, electromagnetic spectrum and combat tech, they can research new type of power cells to be either good against emp's and what not.
  8. From what i've known, cool.is a kewl.guy, and is reasonable roleplayer. If you come more often and roleplay more you might improve your self on getting better at rp. -duh- As for the app, ill give a moderate +1. And i know he likes gygaxes so... is hould make one for him again....with a solaris cannon....
  9. I agree, mostly unplannd reload times are bad and most of the time people will die during reload time, it is a fact. As for security, i was thinking of them having their own stashed armory locker or some wending machine that will dispense the energy cells, coils for the gun, and only with the help of warden/hos they are able to access to them. To the point with ops and ERT, they should have something to sustain them selves, since were talking wbout special ops. Not depend on the stations condition, if they have power or breached places where there should be rechargers but got eaten by singulo/stolen/bombed. As for RnD, people can try tinjering the cells for 'Weapons specific' types and maybe tweak them or modify from having lousy bad cells intto more ion resistant cells that wont make the gun dry as you took direct ion shot to face. This can be debateable as to what securityand rnd have good in this, but for nyoe ops and ert (in my oppinion) is a must.
  10. As tasty as self rechargeable weapons may sound, but there are minor issues with it. First, the recharge rate. If you notice on how fast recharges captains pistol, is fairly low. Youll be killed/raped/gunned down while you wait for that one charge to charge up, leaving you in a dumb spot. The second flaw. It may be immersive but the fact making the e-guns rechargeable (them selves) is kind killing down the rechargers (brig mounted ones) losing part of their main usage. Idea is to not to make more charges inside the gun, since it is just a standart magazine (or modify able later if this will seem as a good idea as mentioned before) and make few things change in the game. 1.st is to not make people carry to bloody much weapons.- this reminds me of fallout3 that a 21 year old character can carry around 10 rocket launchers that weighs around 10-20 kg. Even in army, sokdiers dont run around with two .50 cal mounted machine guns, bullets crazy, but has actually have their own loadout (most one main rifle or two with a side arm) course, correct me if i am wrong. 2.nd The year! It's 2456 and people still use such technology where you still have to use some recharging stations?! (Reminds me of half life 1) hell, maybe next time we should really make singularity backpacks that recharge weapons as you store them inside in the bag. (Just silly, and it will look like some dumb ghost buster show, everyone with bags of singularities and e-guns doing lightshows. 3.rd It's sonething 'new'. Of course it's nothing game breaking or to gamechanging, but rather a simple idea that was overlooked on. Maybe the e-guns will bring some advantage? But the fact is, station uses e-guns 90% most of the time (excluding nyke ops)

The idea is not to change the ammo capacity (Unless the mags can be modified with the help of science or if that will be allowed in the first place) but to implement a reload system for energy based weapons. Rechargers can recharge weapons only if they have the magazine inside (Empty of other type of ammount of power) and other good things. Also WH40K is abit... over the edge in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, IG's are great and their las-weapons but with that capacity on Aurora is making it cheap. Maybe, just maybe increase all E-guns capacity by two or three shots? But i dont know, if that will be good (Balance wise).
  12. Hrmm... When ever the code will ever be finished, we will have Exoskeletons back and with new sprites, which i would like to see. As for mech designs, if Robotics had a tool to repaint the ripleys with tons of variety, i can work on the sprites for...lets say..Each mech (Createable) will have five different collour designs.
  13. The thing is, i am including some new other then the current power cells. We will use something called Laser power cell, coils, what ever. Basicaly a new item, a new magazine. For example, how many shots can a E-carbine do? 8-10 shots? They will still have the same count but they will need their own type of magazine/coil/cell type for them to be able to be used. Meaning nothing will be changed, except for the ability to reload a weapon (Laser) while you still have back up mags/coils/cells with you and you can atleast do something back against the enemies. AS for protopistols... Those are a tricky one. If the game hits late game/miners did nice job and Science got the resources, they can make preety much powerfull 40burn damage 21 magazine sized protopistol that can unload in 4-5 seconds. For that...it can be limited? But about Protopistols balance should be taken to new discussion.
  14. Hrmm. I was thinking of the balances also.Infinite ammo? No. Its bad. If it recharges, probably but on few guns id say.. As you said, it is based on balance, the only thing what will be implemented, is Power coil cells that can be Emped easily. Since you know, power and all. About the damage clip size or cooldown, those shouldn't be changed, since we do not know what outcome will be if we have laser weaponry with these adds. But what i worry about..is about the Protopistols.. Maybe they shouldn't have Power cell coils since they can be modified? I don't know. But its better then having half armory taken to deal with one mob.
  15. So.. after thinking,observation, and examinations.. I was always thinking of making Laser weapons to have magazines. The year is 2456 (Correct me if i am wrong) Science has advanced for who knows how far, there has been a lot of technological advances. And now that most people use the laser weaponry 24/7 in all their daily lives for military, or other important things that may or may not occur, the laser weaponry feels...sluggish. My point is, not the laser weapon strength, their rapid fire, but about the charges they contain. The fact that you can unload a lot of laser beams on one person in mere seconds is fun (For some not since they brag being killed fast and moan on OOC...but that's something else) But the fact, when you go *Click* *Click* moment, you're fucked. What bothers me, is that technology went so far, that we still use old means of how to power weapons, by putting them inside the recharger, sure they are logical why we need them, but once you are bottle necked, and you're on the other side of the station with few last charges left in your gun, and some carps are coming to r*pe you hard, well, kiss your ass goodbye, since you'll be only able to kill one or two, out of six or five. And the main idea why i am making this post is, since we are able to modify protopistols, but they still need to be recharger by recharger, why not make all the laser based weaponry to have Laser cells? Simply like Ballistic weapons having magazines with shiny bullets of democracy installed to make the freedom out of you (By meaning, DEAD) why not make the Laser weapons have Laser cells, but with a twist, that of course, they wont be modifyable, they will contain as much power as the gun will have as if it has full power, and you will need to power the cells them selves in the rechargers. But that is only meant to laser weaponry, tazers are not included. So, please comment on your ideas if this is a good idea, or bad, or just give your own opinion on this.

  20. I should agree to this to. But also we need to improve escape more. Because pushing, showing and stun batoning people just to get inside the shuttle first is not only irritating, but also frustrating and annoying. I hope our mappers can do something about this. +1
