Actually, the main jist of the logs weren't done in grudge, but mostly in humour. I found the concept of a Skrell vagina very amusing and it was a very hilarious read - the chat really enjoyed it, but, continuing on. I still operate on the rule that ERP not done in skype (regardless of viewed via ghost chat or admin logs) is pretty much fair read. Except the house server was kind of intended for off-station RP for me and like four other people. It was secret. Other people found out and wanted to check it out. I said "okay", I was accommodating to most people, despite history with them or disagreements in the past. I tried to get people out of their houses, but in the end left them to their own devices. My characters particularly were interested in the disco, park and whatnot, but many Aurorians are still stuck in chair RP mode in their houses. ... Which is fine since, it's not a huge deal on a server that isn't accommodating a public playerbase or any gamemodes. It's a small private server that pretty much allowed anyone to do whatever they liked in regards of off-station RP. That's the opposite of cliquishness. Doomberg, here's another thing you might want to know. I experienced terrible things on your server. I make complaints about the things on your server. I explain how and why these things happen, and what dangers they can cause. I offer solutions to fix these things. That is not a Messiah complex - I tried to do something so no one can say I didn't try. I did start off pretty civil but got ignored, I found out being confrontational gets you noticed but nothing will actually want people who don't want change to change. Nothing more to do. Game over. We don't allow people in who are part of the "problem" of how this group of established in the first place - they have you, we had no one (because apparently administration has not been here for us). They have no reason to form groups, we do - for survival and have people to relate and talk to because a lot of you made our RP experiences insufferable and didn't care. They don't care about us or what we've been through and continue to contribute to our problem, and that's the only reason they're not with us, so don't you dare compare us to you. So, I keep myself in character pretty well on a majority basis and whatnot, and I even play sec and is jovial with sec regulars when I do, despite the department being filled with bitter egoistical shitlords. Heck, I even RP with newbie baldies who come to my bar. I really disagree with the concept of the cultist carrying anything like a weapon on-board. I think it should be left be, or at least make the cutting a metaphysical thing they can control by the power of Nar-Sie or whatever. Let me make an example: 1. There once was a wizard round that happened on Aurora. The wizard, from a non-metagame perspective is just a stranger with weird clothing who appeared on the ship. At round beginning he was searched, and was found to have his dagger on him, that was enough cause to send him instantly to the brig. Non-compliance of the search would have caused him to go into bad territory early in the round. Since brigging someone for having weapons is legit, it could cause issues. Especially when it's all combined with IC reasons. The difference here is that a wizard can choose to not bring a knife with them. So, a cultist's round can be ruined from one person's actions. It'd make cult rounds more fragile (they are already) because if for whatever reason any cultist gets searched (trust me, people will find a way), they can be insta-arrested even if they have not done anything antag-worthy yet.

I love Crescentise's style of roleplay, she makes intricately noticeable characters with a good flare to them, never dull or uninteresting. She has a really excellent imagination to supplement this, and this shows in her character's personalities. Thinking of her head of staff, considering her deep knowledge of Skrell, and her passion of the species (and knowing she is a responsible player too) I definitely think she can pull it off.

Gollee. Incident reports and trying to fix things in game is shit. What do you think has been going on since December? I'm going to give Rec a gold star and my respect, you know why? He's one of the hardest workers to try break up the cliques in-game, even my civilian work in-game could not top his. He's improved his RP, he takes his own criticism (even when it is misunderstood), and he has practally mothered a lot of your new players (often coming from the civilian and medical sector, where they are often ignored). He has received abuse, he has witnessed roleplaying abominations from older regulars, and he has tried to go against the grain and fix them. I don't blame him, at all because it's ridiculous. No one should have to hold the burdens of what the outward regular community should all be taking a percentage of. If he holds any anger or resentment, I completely understand him. It's even more disappointing when some of the admins/mods/devs are contributing to the problem that he is trying to fix (mostly on his own) IC'ly/OOC'ly with very little support. Whereas, a huge percentage of the regular community sits on its ass and conforms to the status quo and doesn't say shit until it's popular and acceptable, OR contributes to the problem, OR agrees but does nothing. You guys actually really suck most of the time, you know?

People have identified the problem, listed solutions, but the other party has not accepted. I do not have any power to do anything with this community but be an "example", an example on a pretty dull server that is stuck in its ways. Sometimes Aurora gives you the impression that it is improving but I honestly do not think so. I particularly have done this, even my civil posts ended up being derailed by people who claimed civility in the past. No one wants to change. What do you even expect to happen exactly? Rech. Right, so. You do realize you can ERP and still be a good RP'er, right? There's a difference on someone who plays the game but has or does ERP now and again, to someone who solely plays for the sex and romance, and anything on the side is a supplement to that. They play completely differently, and it shows. Giving you the benefit of the doubt, I don't have issue with you - you're a stranger and I don't know your character, I don't know if she fits to a SSL profile or anything like that. Constant chair RP, consistent shunning, and poorly written deviantart tier lesbian romances are community breaking, and everyone on this thread knows this - somewhere deep inside they know this. They have their consequences (newer members feeling unwelcome, poor roleplay that leaks into others, people having disinterest in people outside their friends, fetish fuel and sues to get character attention in a non-receptive environment, cold atmosphere, and roleplay stagnation/non-initiative) and again, it's not in ignorance. They've decided to be shit, if they aspire to be shit, let them be shit.

Okay, everything I say here is genuine and not sarcastic. This is my advice since I think the rest of the responses might be sympathetic hugs anyway. You should download the SS13 source code, run it, and play it alone or with people who share the same view and purpose on playing as you. I'm serious. In fact, there should literally be a server be "Workplace Similator 2457", that runs on extended full of serious and hard working individuals such as yourself. Aurora rarely loses power or hosts parties, and is a very tame server (even during most antag rounds) so you can't compare it to goon. Also, never ever, ever import your social or mental health issues that deeply into a game (well, at least a public server) or roleplay, it's not good for you, and it's not good for the other players.

Hm well. As a bartender regular who plays on peak hour, I've got this to say. You will occasionally get the player who comes into the bar and asks from something strong - my bartender sometimes teases them and dares them to down 10 units of absinthe before telling them to shoo off because they're obviously an alcoholic with an foil lined throat (shotting absinthe raw without a reaction is often terrible RP) and won't give them enough, which ends with my bartend occasionally getting beat up as s/he rushes for their gun. Then you get the people who RP suicide depressives who run to the bar on shift start asking again the most generic question a SS13 bartender can hear, for the strongest beverage you have. A bit eye rolly but again, not a big deal. But yes, you do get the deliberate liver breakers a handful of bartenders do entertain it, they're weird and it is bad RP but it doesn't happen that often tbh. But please don't remove alcohol. I've seen people do excellent drunk RP before, I'd miss that.
