BYOND Key: Nightmare 00 Staff BYOND Key: Garnascus Reason for complaint: This complaint is about Garnascus' over use of muting channels anytime a conversation or any type of disagreement comes up. For example, if one person is over complaining in Deadchat he will mute the entire Deadchat for most of the remainder of the round. When this happened once or twice, whatever. But when other people are constantly being punished because staff don't realize that they can mute solo people it becomes extremely annoying; I would like this muting the entire channel thing to be reviewed or looked over somehow. People should not be punished because of what others do on as common as it is happening. Evidence/logs/etc: (Currently trying to get logs; will input as I get them.) Additional remarks: Getting muted because one or two people are complaining is annoying. That is why it is possible to mute players and not others.

Nah, I'd rather not go do something else. Instead, I like the idea of being able to do something else in game that's enjoyable. I'm not down with people getting punished OOCly just for IC actions, especially if its not griefy or whatever. For more minor situations of course, not like murder or whatever

No im asking if trying to make more to be arrested sitting in a 2x3 box, and being forgetten about more enjoyable oocly is a bad thing.

So its not suppose to be fun, so just so I understand; if you do an IC crime you should be punished OOCLY by sitting and being forgotten in a cell with nothing to do?

I still don't see where it was okay for you, as a Director to suddenly go out and shoot the windows out of the pod near the end of the round. I don't see where any logic falls to that, what were you hoping to get by this? Katelynn has been reported time and time again for hunting possible antags with weapons. You asked Akela why we were not in departures, and she told you ERT said to stay, I don't think that means "Oh let me go shoot out their pods and get into a shoot out with them" as a director. Unless im missing something

Yes, there is player leadership and character leadership. Are we not talking about Character leadership? Because clearly the character that would be CE is Manfred. Do I think Nikov could be a good leader? No clue, do I think that Manfred could? As far from what ive seen no. So it really depends on if we're giving whitelist to the player or the character to me.

I generally don't post on whitelist apps, but I have to strongly agree with Nibbles. Knowledge of the department itself aside, I feel that heads of staffs need to be good leaders. I just don't see Manfred as the leadership type.

There are minor differences between Tajara beating up people for racism, and a loyalty implanted captain being racist. Just minor differences, with the main one being that fight between the people (tajara and racist) are 8/10 shut down by sec before they start. Or the two people can avoid each other. You cannot avoid a captain deciding that you are the one he decides to fuck with, which is why they are held to a standard. If you want to be racist fine, but being a racist captain who's job it is to keep the station under control I do not think is fine. And its going to be annoying if every single time I see this captain, we have to ask sec to arrest them for name slandering, which 9/10 they will probably not be arrested. And even if they are, then they get out of the brig, to go back to being racist and being /back/ in the brig. And that's assuming sec even decides to go against them

Not this round, Garnascus. I was speaking on the pervious round where OOC got muted because of how extreme the complaints got. There were plenty of slurs. Correct me if im wrong, but a captain would have to go through a lot of background test, and have a lot of psychological testing? I'm not completely convinced that an openly racist would be allowed to be put in charge of a station that has a heavy population of alien staff. Location of Incident: Aurora Station. As there was no medical staff, the AI was attempting to assist in treatment. Aluevir Felkvhur came on station and immediately begun to insult the other security members, including calling Tarasik a 'catbeast'. Tarasik responded by making a comment about cats having sharp claws, and soon after Garry Miles, and Aluevir Felkvhur came to medbay. Aluevir began to insult Him some more calling Him a diseased animal and such, stating that further "threats" would be costed at detaining, as he kept insulting. Garry stated that harassment was not a crime, but threats were and so decided to side with Aluevir. Both of the officers left as a doctor arrived. Soon after Tarasik's surgery, both officers returned and stated that the Doctor should leave. Tarasik walked to the brig to get His gear and both officers followed Him. They cornered him, and insulted Him yet /again/ and stated that they would be arresting Him for the "threats" before. Tarasik had His baton in his hand, and went to hand it to them and they immediately attacked Him. They cuffed Him, and stripped all His gear, stating that they would be detaining Him for all these outlandish crimes. They also talked about giving Him a tracking implant, but the captain, David Riden arrived on station and handled the situation in a temporary manner. Did you report it to a Head of Staff or IAA? If so, who?: David Riden. Captain. Additional notes: He does not care about simple Harassment, as one should have thick fur, as the saying goes. But when its done so to this extreme level, as well as physically coming at Him is when it becomes a problem. Both of these officers acting extremely out of line and not only tried to prevent Him from getting treatment from the AI, but also stopped Him from doing His job afterwards.

He constantly breaks into places just for laughs, and abuses his position of being an engineer for laughs. Just the last shift Nasir worked with him, John decided to break into the cockpit of the shuttle just because he has the tools able to do so. He also brags about his supposed insanely long records of crime on station. Nasir is sick of having to clean up behind John, just because John finds is funny; and when asked to stop says "Eh, they won't do anything to me." Including saying this to a Duty Officer's face. Did you report it to a Head of Staff or IAA? If so, who?: Never had a chance to. Additional notes: Nasir usually doesn't care when people do what they want, its none of his business. But this has been annoying, with Him having to clean up behind John, and is making the entire engineering department look foolish.

This includes PDA, Verbal, and over Public channels. This is because a dispute over a personal issue that He feels should not be brought to the workplace. Vin'Drahl as began to spread untrue rumors about Nasir, insult his ability as an engineer, and constantly harass Him in a way that He feels He shouldn't have to accept while coming to work. This is very unacceptable and makes it extremely hard for Him to focus and work. Did you report it to a Head of Staff or IAA? If so, who?: A number of heads of staff are aware, but He hasn't been able to have a sit down with any of them. The latest one would be Raymond Galloway. Additional notes: He doesn't feel that He should have to come to work to hear the constant harassment coming from an upset security officer, over something that has nothing to do with work. Attimus has also taken to harassing a number of people that Nasir talks to. In my opinion, I totally would like Emmy as a HoS. I don't really care for how every HoS is pretty much an ex military commander, its just bleh. I like how Emmy is different than the normal cut. And as far as that incident, people learn. Mistakes happen, things happen and that's really it. I've seen Emmy arrest plenty of Security officers, I can think of one time went she arrested Winston because he punched someone, so saying that she can't take action against her own people is completely false. I personally think Emmy would make an amazing HoS
