There is actually a drug that sort of does that. It's called Scopolamine. It's a chemical that's extracted from a bunch of poisonous plants that can and will kill you if ingested normally. While it has applications in field of prescription medicine, that's only the extremely diluted versions of it. Extremely concentrated versions of the drug are manufactured by Columbian cartels. It's used by criminals to help them out with robberies, abductions, and sexual assaults. It's been used in the past by post-Soviet bloc countries to interrogate prisoners. Basically, makes the person it's given to incapable of making their own decisions, and puts them in a trance-like state. Scary shit. I want that ingame. Doeet.

Now this... this is nice. A grizzled everyman who just wants to earn his pay for the day and go home, wherever that might be. The backstory really gives a sense of who this character is, the flavor text and the personality sections are short and succinct. No exaggerated frills, no unnecessary details or over-dramaticized sob stories. The only thing I'd suggest is adding a bit information as to the origin of this character, i.e. what planet he was born on, which city, etc.

Roosty will give this a big +1. And not in the least because he bullied Gigi into getting off his ass and doing it. He gave me the rundown on who this character would be and how they'd act, and I want to see them on the station. Give him all the +1's. All of them. Doeet.

It wouldn't be technically an artificial human. I'm pretty sure the wrong terminology was being used. It should be more along the lines of a genetically engineered human. The technology to do that exists today in the form of genetic recombination technology. I'd imagine that it would be more ubiquitous in society after a few hundred years. What's described in Fortune's backstory is not an artificial human. That would be something that isn't human to begin with, like an android. Being created in a lab and then subjected to augmentations does not make one an artificial human. And even if she was technically "artificial", why would NT take her apart for research? If Fortune's parents had access to such technology, that would surely mean that it would be widely available in the civilian sector, which means NT would have no need to steal and reverse-engineer it.

While I'm learning to love the new forums, as they load a helluvalot faster than Proboards, I hate how after every session I'm logged out. Apparently there should be a textbox to stay logged in but it's not there because it's disabled.
