YT in general or that one specifically? I was trying to make a point with it, which may not have come off the way I wanted it to.

Since my last post was removed, ill retype it. @KingOfThePing the language you used to end the conversation initially was not polite. It was the opposite. Rude and antagonistic. It was uncalled for. Your opening post called for "an opponent". My comments of a ChatGPT AI opponent were within your post criteria until you clarified that with your last comment before I got struck.

Roostercat, please ignore my post if you only want to shittalk. You have two options now. Agree you are shittalking and stop responding, or disagree you are shittalking and continue responding, at which you will ignore my request to stop talking to you. Which road will you take?

BYOND Key: IckySoup Staff BYOND Key: Roostercat Game ID: Discord Video_Game Channel 12:30 PM - 1:40 PM EST Reason for complaint: No rule was broken Evidence/logs/etc: The strike: The conversation topic was about discord user just_lanze asking for an opponent for a game. I asked what the game was, they elaborated. I followed by suggesting they could use ChatGPT, a little bit of back and forth happens and then at which point my ADHD brain is locked in and demands I defend my suggestion. I dropped a couple links in chat to the steam workshop for a couple of games I knew that had ChatGPT mods as proof. My suggestion wasn't a joke or satire of any form. Before I finished addressing my stance as being called shit talk Just_Lanse says my comments are strange, which I don't believe they were. I didn't get to address that before, Just_Lanse clarifies they wanted a human opponent at which I was going to move on, a couple of moments after this comment Rootercat gave me a strike. In short, I was accused of shit talking, defended my stance, then punished for it. Additional remarks:

I, and other players believe it could have been handled better, fun may have been had to an extent, but when people have put countless hours into their characters only to die with lack of any RP engagement, it removes the fun out of what was had. Unless @Garnascus has something to say go ahead and close the complaint.

Information and lore. I know you're capable of making in depth lore. What was behind the mask? Why were they xenophobic? What did they expect to come from the murders and the terrorist attack? A few basic questions to consider that could have been circulated through event characters or your self playing the antagonist. And what story was told through having characters intentionally die in the end? All I'm able to conclude from the final event is that Bayonet Hand is just another terrorist. Please tell me what the intent was here.

Before continuing with this response ill need to apologize. The making of and the unfolding of this complaint has evoked a lot of emotion. I don't mean to show disrespect or devalue the work put into projects made by the community. I still stand by my points that this event final didn't provide what should be an expectation. Is this not something most events have to deal with? There must have been something that you could have done to pull weight off your self. The Casino Staff, could more have been done with them? What about after they died could other event roles have been made for them? What about accomplices mixed in with the crew? Did you not have enough resources or volunteers? What would have made this less of a problem? In the cases of the people that got caught out, the power you had over them was immense. There is so much I believe you could have done with it. Were I in your shoes would have tried to deliver a profound experience to as many as I could even if I knew I couldn't do it to everyone. The nature of this event would result in those experiences being shared. As far as I know the arc didn't have secrets that characters needed to keep hidden for fear of legal or other reasons. Everything would have been shared in the end. I strongly feel this could have been done better I want to figure out how and what can be done in the future. The individual was neglected far to much, it should not happen to this degree.

Unless someone were to speak out, I believe it's impossible for me to contribute more then I already have to this. Everything needed to do it was here, and only an investigation by staff can prove it did occur.

I want to address the Complaint One before touching Complaint Two. @Garnascus I can only attest to what took place in the final event. I had no part and very little knowledge prior to the final event beyond the serial killer existing, it being a Tajara, and they a had vendetta with people in a photo. "There does seem to be a generous amount of buildup and escalation." But is it right for this to be an excuse to neglect RP in a final event? In my own experience I felt this final to be comparable to a below standard mercenary round. I wanted to get involved with the what was going on but from Alberyk's comment above it now seems like I got punished for trying to be involved, albeit late, there should have been consideration that there will be players that don't know what is going on a lot of people play this game not everyone is able to devote time to unrevealing layered mysteries. I don't recall this being much of an issue in past arcs/events as there is normally an announcement with enough details to draw whats going on often followed by command input that gives everyone a basic understanding of whats going on and why its happening. If you had little to no information prior to the final event there was not much you could have gained. The only information I recall seeing about Bayonet Hand being made public was that he was in the casino. One player will claim they did, however I believe them to have been a one percenter in this situation as they had ties to another player(s) that did follow the arc and had easy access to need to know information that was not made public to everyone else. I don't contest that events should have things in them meant for the players who to get deeply involved. I contest that not enough information/lore was provided during or throughout the final event and that Alberyk had the opportunity to fill this gap with his antagonists RP, but he didn't, choosing only to giving one liners at most. This only describes the first attack in the trap room. As I said above, I wanted to know more about what was going on, I wanted to know why people were being killed, I wanted to be involved, what I didnt do was purposefully hunt the antagonist. Now it feels I was punished for doing so. At the time of the second attack I didn't have a gun, secondly, wouldn't Bayonet Hand have know they were loaded with blanks at best it would have been a blunt object, and thirdly I was alone, yes, just you and me, in the dark. You had the ability to do more and didn't. My final statement on this point is that RP should be guaranteed in every round/event, In this final event it was grossly neglected and became more of a luxury then an expectation that cannon lore events deliver.

I agree with this. I would also like to request that regardless of the outcome if staff could look at the no cloning rule and put into place means to prevent possible abuse of it.

Ill provide entire chat history with the people I spoke to if requested. They can be asked to verify its legitimacy.

I claim Alberyk had all the power needed in order to commit metagrude during the final event. I have no reason to believe Alberyk, or any server staff tried to metagrude myself. I am trying to prove that metagrude did happen during the event, as well as bring light to the rule regarding no cloning during final events is wrote in a way that can allow someone such as Alberyk to abuse it.

Alright. I believe that Dahbunny was one such person to have been a meta grudged player. I can only speculate and require staff to look into it further. The only use of the EMPs on dahbunnys group would have likey been to disable augments/prosthetics, but on the notion that no IPCs were there and everyone was armed with ballistic weapons it doesn't sit right with me. full log here I asked others about the use of EMPS only one could say they were used more then once, so I believe only staff can prove this this.

I would like staff to become involved before giving a response.

I wanted all the evidence screen shots to be in spoilers but they showed up at the end. don'tknow how to fix

BYOND Key: IckySoupTwo Staff BYOND Key: Alberyk Game ID: The final event of Ghosts of War Reason for complaint: 1. Performed the role of antagonist in the event to a level that is below the standard that is written in the rules. 2. Abused the “No cloning during canon events unless given permission by staff” rule that is written in such a way that allows someone in Alberyk’s position to abuse it for such purposes like meta grudging. Evidence/logs/etc: Complaint One: Alberyk played his role as antagonist below the standards outlined in the servers rules. Beginning with my own experience during the event. Prior to having direct contact with Bayonet Hand I would only catch a glimpse of them running through a crowd after killing a member of the casino staff. The next time I see Bayonet Hand is in a trap room. A bedroom of sorts near where the first murder took place. Shortly after entering, a blast door would lock the way into the room, and the maintenance door in the back of the room would open with Bayonet Hand coming into the room to attack me. The nature of this incident did surprise me, but I am 100% certain I received no more than a one liner, if even that, before being attacked. An attempt to defend myself with the fake rifles would be made, and I was ultimately left to suffer from my wounds before the blast door opened and I could receive medical attention. My first full interaction with Bayonet Hand in the entirety of the arc resulted in me, at most, being given a one liner before having potentially lethal injuries inflicted Approximately 10-15 minutes after I receive medical treatment I met Bayonet Hand again in the pitch black, main casino hall and only be given a xenophobic one liner before having a lethal injury inflicted. I'm not the only person who had this experience. I reached out to a few players that were victims of Alberyk in the final event. Across the board they all received little to no RP before being attacked or ultimately killed. With the information I collected, I believe, Alberyk in most situations had the ability to provide interesting RP to his victims before attacking them and delivering potentially lethal wounds. Here are the responses I received, some them wanted to remain anonymous: anon 1 anon 2 anon 3 dahbunny Dekser Mack an observer that was witness to my own experience Complaint Two: I accuse Ableryk of intentionally abusing the rule that forbids players to be cloned during canon events to commit meta grudging. The rule: Alberyk being a head admin, the event host, the antagonist in this arc, and with staff's general opinion of cloning that it shouldn't be allowed during cannon events had all he needed to abuse the rule and commit meta grudging. Comments made in the events dead chat support that he had the motive. At least one other comment made in dead chat that I don't have a screenshot of further supports this. Further evidence to Alberyk having the ability to meta grudge at will is supported by the use of an admin only room. I contacted someone who observed most of the round, they wished to remain anonymous. Aghosting would allow Alberyk the opportunity to locate and coordinate attacks on almost any character or player he didn't like with the medical bay being designated a safe zone. While every player may not have been a target for meta grudging there was more than enough time for him to seek out opportunistic attacks on them. Information gathered from the players and an observer reveal there was only one piece of lore critical info about the arc and antagonist was in an outpost outside the casino that I believe was designed to be found only by those who followed the arc closely. With all this Alberyk would have approximately two hours, save for the time to initially set up the event, to carry out an unstoppable culling of characters. Once the clock got near the two hour mark an admin spawned FIB ERT was sent in and only a suicidal rush by Alberyk into the ERT would result in Bayonet Hand getting killed. Lastly I believe the players had little to no chance of catching the arcs antagonist dead or alive. This was purposely done in order to maximize the amount of time Alberyk had to cull players which I believe to have been the true purpose of this arc. Additional remarks: I have sparse evidence that may support that a specific player was a target of meta grudding/gank, but I think it’s best to wait until everything can be unpacked and processed first before submitting it.

I very much prefer the wall sprites we have now over the ones posted above. They're just really good imo. The new ones as Desven said do look like downgrades.

I dont like nor dislike it being sent off. Could definitely be fun for characters who want to farm clout. (*cough cough* every Skrell ever)

I like the overall change here and the only thing I think needs to be adjusted is the IC process of doing it. As I said in discord an alternative way to have this fit in well would be to have some sorta machine a "super computer" on station processes the thesis than spit out the points/unlocks. This "super computer" could probably sit inside the server room and is simply flavor text(could have purpose if you code it maybe its upgradeable?) while all the magic happens with a terminal all research staff will have access too. This is just one way of doing it however, sending research material off station to be processed takes away from the reason why this state of the art research facility is where it is, and thinking about how this system will function when NBT arrives is also something to consider for this big of a change.

(4) New high-end research items up for discussion
Ickysoup replied to NerdyVampire's topic in Archive
What if genetics and virology were spliced together so we can make microbes that burps orange scented burbs. Slap it onto xenobiology/archeology "Woah found some microbes that burp phoron gas on this alien world" - Urist MacXenobiologist I like the blue space fishing. That sounds fun. -
I agree with this. NT would likely have an expertise in mining on asteroids/in a vacuum. At the very least NT would have everything needed to train personnel for mining/cargo operations, and If you think about it, NT was giving phoron to alot of groups, they would likely have pretty robust logistics.

The west wall isn't as important as the airlock and south wall that partially divides the kitchen. Taking out that south wall and moving up that area in the bottem area will provide alot of room for either counter space or a second set of cooking appliances if the plan is to keep having two cook slots.
