Its been a day since the nerf now I think. I'm giving it some more time and to sneak in an AI round instead of a Cyborg round to see how this nerf feels. At the moment I'm still not happy about it but that might change? Probably not. I wasn't part of the poll because I didn't know it existed. But it seems like that since the poll ''lost'' its goal of getting the AI removed it's now being used as ammunition to nerf the AI until its no longer fun or useful because for some reason thats the only solution left? Why? It seems like a minority is trying to push for this and because they lost their poll they are still trying to somehow force their will through. How about we start another poll? That asks if we should nerf the AI yes or no? If the poll results are that we should nerf it then we can look at ways of doing so. If it says to not do so, well. I mean. That's it then isn't it?

A library event like the TCFL Promo but then just unlimited librarian job slots that will comb through all the literature to see what stays and what goes. Maybe an even better idea will be a Mercenary round event but instead of having to shoot guns the mercenaries are given stacks of books to read and audit.

Diona - Lol what? I cant believe you even need help with these guys. Just hit the lightswitch lmao. If there aren't lightswitches around just literally walk away and throw paper airplanes at them until they become so depressed they go sulk in a corner or something. Bottled pesticides also work, just spray them from a distance like your weeds in the garden. Robots - Ion, Flash, baseball bat to their central processor until they stop moving. We made them, we can destroy them. Simple as. Vauruca - Literally new levels of poor. They are so poor that they will do almost anything to not be kicked off their workplaces. If you have to beat one up for some reason just taunt them with a welder or a zippo. Make for good punching bags to relieve stress. Vox - Chonky birds, fast too. Sidestep their lunge before punching them into their stupid beaks. Then take off their breathing equipment to let their lungs choke on our glorious atmosphere. The sheer chemical abuse we have subjected ourselves to for generation after generation is truly staggering and thus we have an amazing tolerance unlike those wimpy lizards that cant even stomach a single beer. Just shoot them with a laserpistol from a distance. Human eyes good and see far.

I mean, you probably need a full access ID to break in anyway and you could turn the turrets off with said ID. An AI must be pretty braindead to not notice people breaking through bolted upload doors with motion scanner cameras. So if we go by that logic the captains spare ID needs a laser turret defending it because all turrets can be memed with the turret control console. I'm just afraid that if you nerf actual abilities of the AI you just turn him into a pAI with cameras and a handful of laser turrets to protect its meaningless existence.

I'm just going to wedge myself into this discussion to put my 2 cents in what I think of how many servers do their AI. I never understood the reason why the upload and core have to be a doomfort with laser turrets. I can understand it on lowrp that the AI needs defenses against the clown but here? Sol shackles AI like its going out of style, Jargon Feds are still slightly upset about that little issue they had with them in the past and even the Biesel Reps have alot of shackled artificial intelligence but somehow somewhere in a boardroom people decided it was a good idea to put laser turrets everywhere under the direct control of said AI. Weren't Security Cyborgs removed for a somewhat same reason? That they were played as mobile gun platforms instead of subservient muscle directly working together with a high rank/sec officer. Imagine Doctor David Bowman walking into the HAL-9000 Core just to be vaporized by a large laserbeam. Would have made for a whole different movie indeed. What I suggest we do is not directly change the abilities of the station AI to influence airlocks and keep that as is and instead make the core alot easier to access for Heads of Staff to curbstomp any AI rebellion. Forcing malfunctioning ones to carefully plan if or when going loud is an option and cooperate with their borgs to ensure certain vital command officers are in a state where they cant just walk into your core and pull the plug.

So like, I don't get this part. She is taken on a pirate corvette, engaged in lots of combat which undoubtedly gave her a rap sheet with the authorities may it be with the Republican F Legion, the the Solarian Navy and maybe even Corporate PMC's. And then opened what would most undoubtedly be some kind of pirate bar due to her history. Then of all things someone could do why would they sell their bar, move to the inner core worlds and become a corporate lackey in a bar they don't own to work for a corporation that most likely can turn her in for a bounty or political favor. I would see this character succeed alot more if she started working for corporate PMC's as a grunt that promise her to wipe her criminal history in exchange for a labor contract due to her specialized starship boarding experiences. Skills and traits that aren't easy to obtain. Could you fill in a few gaps regarding this? Because I'm somewhat confused.

Actually threw a birthday party for me together with Zati. +1 I feel like he conveys his disdain for some of the shenanigans my character Pewter does in a realistic manner yet also recognizes that he is a somewhat decent officer. Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: To have access to more jobs and have more fun on the server. Why did you come to Aurora?: Don't want to knock on any servers out there but Aurora has a combination of things that I like. Lower movement speed, people actually doing their jobs to a somewhat satisfactory standard, functional command members and staff that aren't huge power tripping morons. Have you read the Aurora wiki on the head roles and qualifications you plan on playing?: I mean, I'm illiterate so I had my mom read the wiki out loud for me. But yeah I'm aware of the contents on the wiki regarding the positions I want to occasionally play. Have you received any administrative actions? And how serious were they? You need someone that knows something about what their department does and make sure the will of the corporation is executed. You need someone to keep alien guest workers in line yet also you need to cool down racist temperament because otherwise your employees never stop bickering with eachother, you need someone to ensure your department doesn't fall apart and quota's are met. ICly and OOCly you need Heads with the current hierarchy otherwise newbies dont get trained, people fight eachother constantly and nobody can make a final call on issues. But most importantly, they carry on the flow of a round to a successful failure/conclusion. What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: I'm not whitelisted but I already do a few things that I think whitelisted people should be doing. Usually if its a mechanical question regarding the game in LOOC or OOC instead of saying ''lol getgud read the wiki'' Aside from that though I don't think there are really all that many differences. People should uphold a good roleplay standard whitelisted or not and help each other out occasionally. Essentially not be a bunch of shitheads to eachother OOCly. Well, in the eyes of my most played character the job on the station is just a job. He got sniped by Nanotrasen in an effort to simply get more people on their payroll to compete with the other megacorps and to get a stronger foothold in the upstart Republic of Biesel. Pewter not being exceptional in any way there wasn't a strong effort on the side of the Alliance to keep his work contract and allowed him to leave for higher pay to work with Nanotrasen. Over the course of his work contract he became more and more supportive of the corporation yet holds on to his Solarian Citizenship for dear life as he fears that a Republican citizenship is worthless. He still vehemently votes on the Human Unity Party and still supports Frost, even though he is not at all happy about the coalition they made with the reform party, mostly because of their anti corporate stance. In my opinion there are too many people out there that make picture perfect chads as roleplay characters in a simulated environment where you can actually let loose your imagination. A fat and lazy Tajaran Hop that snacks all day in the his office and the bar? Sure. A one armed Unathi Janitor that is deathly afraid of prosthesis? That sounds fun. A cargotech in a wheelchair part of an equal opportunity employment scheme? You betcha. In my roleplay I usually try to take something of myself in real life, turn that up to 100 and see if that's fun. This also makes it easier for me to respond like the character would without it being a self insert. Lets take Pewter for example, I'm pretty buff and work in a uniformed profession in real life yet Im a little overweight. So I take the weight and turn it up where fat spills over a belt... no, a belt is too plain. What about a fanny pack on green alert? Yeah that's funny and makes the game harder because the fannypack can only carry so much. Backpacks? They chafe so I don't carry them only when its absolutely needed. Lets tone his general intelligence down aswell. Not that he's dumb but just extremely ignorant. A splash of male pattern baldness, cheap aftershave, HORRIBLE clipon safety tie and viola. I try to play characters as if they were real human beings with their faults and vices not held that much in check. Probably also the reason I don't think I can do aliens all that well as I try to put the human in humanity.
