Phoebe doesn't seem to much care for my human either, but is perfectly fine with my catbeasts/scaley waley lizardbutt. IC issue, I think.

During the course of this incident, I witnessed security harassing my coworker multiple times for having what seems to be as sensible protection, given some of the reactions that can occur when mixing chemicals. Contraband aside, I personally witnessed them come into medical and search both the chemistry office and my coworker's person without having actually produced a warrant. I then watched as he melted his jacket with acid, which... is excessive. However, I then witnessed security beat him three times with a stun baton, all while he was buckled into a chair. Again, no warrant was ever actually served over the course of the incident. Additionally, the CMO defended my coworker, saying that the gas mask was absolutely allowed, given the compounds he was working with. Lizbeth Meyers, Psychiatrist.

I've seen Erik RP a complete mental breakdown flawlessly before. Whether or not that's because he was actually having a mental breakdown at the time, it was still masterful. +1

You have to use the industrial dropper to mix chems. It's kinda awful.

BYOND Key: Hycinth Character Names: Jillian Fleming, Ja'rasha Toviktanni, Tsavnara Zahjdahri, Daedalus How long have you been playing on Aurora: Ten days. Species you are applying to play: Unathi What color do you plan on making your first alien character (Dionaea & IPCs exempt): Red Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Yeeeeep. In depth. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question Why do you wish to play this specific race: I really enjoy the backstory of the Unathi, with them having to deal with the results of launching an actual atomic munitions upon each other, the various clans now having to live with the Wasteland constantly encroaching on what was once fertile lands. The concept of honour and reliance on melee weaponry that the Unathi espouse is very interesting as well. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: Beyond the obvious stretching of the S sounds, Unathi tend to be more aggressive, suspicious, and insular than the other races. They focus primarily on melee weapons and fair fights due to their notions of honor. In addition, emotions are expressed more via tail thumping and chuffing. Character Name: Sera Velosa Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs Hailing from Teht, on the southwestern shore of the Moghresian Sea, Sera fully intended to follow her family's path into medicine, always aspiring to help others in her community. The Contact War and the ensuing appearance of the Wasteland that appeared afterwards shattered the worldview of young Sera, and she sought to leave the planet rather than wait to be consumed by the desert. She looked offworld, and was accepted into a university on Biesel, where she gained an appreciation for the other races the Unathi now found they shared the universe with. Subsequently, she once again returned to her childhood dream, applying to multiple medical programs before finally being accepted as an intern at the age of 23. Finishing her basic internship at 28, she has sought to expand her education since, moving more towards the surgical specializations, and recently received employment from Nanotrasen on the NSS Aurora. What do you like about this character? Well, one, she's going to actually have an established-ish relationship on station, which'll... actually be a first for me around here. It'll be interesting. She's also as idealistic as she can be, but maintains a healthy dose of realism, such as seeing the inevitable death of Moghes due to the Wasteland. That said, she'll try to do whatever she can to save her patients and work with (or bully) her coworkers in order to accomplish that. It'll also be nice to limit myself to not being able to do most major surgeries, instead relying on others for more than mid-range medication and treatment. How would you rate your role-playing ability? 9/10 most robust catbeast on Aurora Notes:

Filthyfrankster Unathi application

+1, plenty of experience with both Frank and Zubari. Always wonderful to RP with, and a well thought out character. Frank keeps trying to give me his mixtape though. -
As someone working in sec that round (Jillian Fleming), I can confirm that Thomas Limes was AFK, and Noton was being a shitler the entire round, especially given the chaos that was already occuring. While I was trying to sort out the situation in medbay, he tried to steal my riot shield, at which point I attempted to tase him, failed horrendously, returned to medbay, and requested IAM arrest him.

250 points isn't much, especially if you have a mining department giving you a reasonable amount of phoron to send back. Maybe 500 would be a little more balanced? Would give materials a reason to touch cargo first for spring rather than miners dragging the materials to science themselves.

Ehehe. Don't worry, I'll still mostly be playing Fleming. Toviktanni's meant as the occasional change of pace :3

Jillian Fleming comes in at either 115 or 265, depending on if you consider the "has killed someone, intentionally", given her work as sec and prior military work (PFC, people. Not an NCO or anything)

I mean, the uprisings only succeeded because of the weaponry and support provided by the humans/Nanotrasen/megacorps, which can be seen as assisting/harming the Tajara as a whole. Helping, because the regime was overthrown and a republic created, but harming in that, well, it caused plenty of destruction by facilitating the uprising in the first place. Ja'rasha realizes that Nanotrasen is exploiting Adhomai/the Taraja, but it's a "lesser of two evils" thing, and it gives her a chance to explore the galaxy. Besides, here it's not usually other Tajara she's gathering evidence against

BYOND Key: Hycinth Character Names: Jillian Fleming, Kaelyn Hawker, Lizbeth Meyers. How long have you been playing on Aurora: Three whole days. Species you are applying to play: Tajara What color do you plan on making your first alien character (Dionaea & IPCs exempt): Ivory (RGB 205, 205, 192) Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Yep. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question Why do you wish to play this specific race: I really appreciate the lore behind the Tajara, especially with some of the changes specific to Aurora. I appreciate the loyalty aspects, as well as the story behind the overthrow of the nobility on Adhomai. The story of their "uplifting" for lack of a better term, by the influx of teachers and outside influences brought by the human alliance allows for me to have a reason to play a bit of a more optimistic character, looking forwards to a better future by doing her job well, even if you know, I'm going to be investigating crimes. The interplay between the clans is also of interest to me, and I feel that that could result in more interesting roleplay than just "We're all humans wooo." Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: The belief systems tend to be different, focusing more on loyalty with your kin and comrades, as well as the obvious differences, such as the use of the third person when referring to oneself, the rolling of the Rs, and the usage of far more body language in speech than with humans. The usage of first person and the more intimate relationships also provides for some interesting roleplay. Character Name:Ja'rasha Toviktanni Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs Born only five years after the end of the uprisings on Adhomai, Ja'rasha saw the destruction that could rise up from such violent conflicts, but also the hope that arose from the assistance of the Alliance and the megacorporations as they brought in teachers, facilities, and infrastructure. She received a good education from these sources, striving to learn from these new sources, and ended up seeking employment with the enforcement agencies of her hometown. Seven years later, she seized on an offer to leave the planet, seeking new horizons for herself, looking to "explore the universe" so to speak. She's bounced from station to station since then, continuing her career in forensic science, seeking to make the universe a (slightly) safer place in the only way she knows how. Hunting down the clues to find the criminals who dare sully her optimistic worldview. What do you like about this character? A loyal, non-robust character. While she theoretically could fight someone, it's not remotely in her nature to do so. She operates almost exclusively within her (rather narrow) field, and isn't afraid to speak her mind, though she prefers to observe. How would you rate your role-playing ability? 8/10. I could stand to have more experience with playing non-robust characters, and this is at least partially an exercise in that. Notes: I know I'm new to the server, but I've been putting plenty of time into the server, and I feel that everyone who's roleplayed with me as of yet has had a good experience.
