Command Whitelist - Veterangary
Snowy1237 replied to VeteranGary's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
I remember only positive interactions with Yasir and Alzrun, Gary is communicative over command comms and plays his characters well. +1 -
BYOND key: Snowy1237 Discord Username: Snowy1237#2366 Character names: Quisuu Su-Ruusi (Warden), IRU-Resonance (Investigator), Kazumi (Surgeon), ALLOY (retired) How long have you been playing on Aurora? Since early 2022, but more consistently since October 2022. Have you received any administrative actions? And how serious were they? One warning in September and a few notes. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each. What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame? The purpose of a Head of Staff is to manage and help the department they are a part of and the crew as a whole, delegating their responsibilities to other members of their department and keeping everyone involved interested in the game, as well as guiding newer players and helping them learn the mechanics and get a good impression of the server. Heads of Staff also manage interactions with antagonists, taking a part in setting the flow of the round. What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them? Heads of staff have massive sway over the rounds they are in, as such they are expected to have adequate knowledge of the game mechanics, as well as being respectful, pleasant to interact with and uphold the rules of the server. Explain how the recent events in the Spur changed your character and how they came to be employed on the SCCV Horizon. Quisuu served with the Mendell City Police during the Second Solarian Incursion, helping to keep the peace on the ground during the invasion. After the invasion’s end Quisuu decided to start a new chapter in their life by retiring from the MCPD and signing up as an Idris subcontractor, and after working in Mendell for some time they were accepted onto the SCCV Horizon. What roles do you plan on playing after the application is accepted? Head of Security, maybe a consular or CMO in the future. Have you familiarized yourself with the wiki pages for the command roles? Yes. Characters you intend to use for command or have created for command. Include the job they will be taking: HoS – Quisuu Su-Ruusi Do you understand your whitelist is not permanent, and may be stripped following continuous administrative action? Yes. Have you linked your BYOND account to the Forums? Yes. Extra notes: I can expand on the application if needed.

BYOND Key: Snowy1237 Character Names: Quisuu Su-Ruusi (warden), Larioq Xiraq (engineer) and more various frogs. Species you are applying to play: IPC What color do you plan on making your first alien character: IPCs exempt. Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Yes. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question. Why do you wish to play this specific race: IPCs are very diverse, having a massive variety of personalities, origins and backgrounds to choose from while being vastly different from other species. They have different and interesting interactions with the rest of the spur, having to deal with discrimination almost everywhere they go. They also have a different outlook on the world, with most being owned by governments and megacorporations. There are many IPC subspecies, with each having mechanical and lore differences from the rest, most synergizing well with specific jobs while having the flexibility to occupy most other jobs. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: IPCs think differently than organics, making every decision rationally, taking all the effects into account, as well as having self-preservation be their most important directive. They do not have a unified nation or planet of origin, instead being scattered across human space, calling many of the human nations and planets their homes. IPCs are almost always bought as property after production, and even after going through the costly and lengthy process of acquiring freedom they are still discriminated against. Character Name: IRU-Resonance (IRU-Resonant Frequency in case the first name is taken) Please provide a short backstory for this character IRU-Resonance is a shell IPC that was produced on the TDM “Nomad Alpha” in orbit of Jupiter in 2450. it was programmed as an investigative unit and sold to The Venusian Planetary Police Force, where it was tasked with investigating various serious crimes on the aerostat of Binyaria. Resonance worked diligently to solve every case under its purview, but most of the time the corruption within the VPPF prevented most of the cases from reaching their conclusions. Conveniently missing evidence or the very slow pace of the Force causing the criminals to vanish at just the right time was a thing Resonance dealt with often, causing it to despise the VPPF, Cytheria and Venus as a whole. In 2459, after nine years of work on Venus, the VPPF decided to sell Resonance to Idris Incorporated. Resonance underwent a memory wipe, due to the imperfect nature of memory wipes it managed to retain some memories about its past. Having gained the job of an Idris Reclamation Unit, it was transferred off of Venus and into the Republic of Biesel, where it began its new work, reclaiming the assets of people who failed to repay their loans. In 2464, after five years of diligent work for Idris, IRU-Resonance was transferred onto the SCCV Horizon. What do you like about this character? Resonance has a past in the Solarian Alliance, a nation I have yet to explore with any of my characters, the incomplete memory wipe gives the character a direction to develop into, and I feel the character will not be too hard to play as. How would you rate your role-playing ability? Pretty good, 7/10 Notes: If something is incomplete, I am ready to answer any follow-up questions.

[ACCEPTED] Snowy1237's Skrell whitelist
Snowy1237 replied to Snowy1237's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
1. Xiraq was, and still is, quite devout, visiting the local observatory dome on a biweekly basis, attending the various events, following the doctrines and prayers, and somewhat regularly visiting the Wonqio Monastery in Hyu’blaq’wesi. 2. Xiraq appreciates and respects the stability and scientific advancement the Nralakk Federation and it’s officials brought to the skrell, gathers inspiration from Idols, and wishes to maintain and improve their social credit score. 3. Xiraq respects the dionae in the federation, and considers them equal to skrell Federation citizens. Xiraq distrusts the C’thur vaurcae due to their recent arrival, lack of significant exposure to them, and their use of robot-like Unbound. 4. Larioq Pities skrell born outside of the Federation, because they were not able to experience the superior education and quality of life present in the Federation, at the same time wanting to learn about their life and their reason not to immigrate to the Federation (as every skrell has citizenship). 5. Xiraq considers humans (mostly knowing only solarians) good coworkers, even if primitive and weird in their own ways. Xiraq is mostly indifferent to unathi and tajara, due to having no interaction with one of them personally, only hearing about them from other skrell and humans. Other vaurcae hives are distrusted slightly more than the C’thur, due to the same reasons. Positronics are feared and heavily distrusted due to their origins as Glorsh-made drones. 6. Xiraq’s first work assignment outside the Federation was assisting in the construction of orbital manufacturing facilities in the Middle ring of the Solarian Alliance. Larioq found the experience isolating, having trouble connecting with humans and having very few other skrell nearby, all sent from different parts of the Federation with the same task. After two years of work the solarian collapse occurred, forcing Larioq to relocate, first to Callisto, and then back to the Federation, to await a new assignment. After an evaluation of their performance in Sol, Xiraq was granted employment on the SCCV Horizon. The experience will help in adjusting to the environment of Biesel, having already experienced life outside the Federation and developed coping mechanisms to deal with it. -
BYOND Key: Snowy1237 Character Names: ALLOY, and a few off-ship characters. Species you are applying to play: Skrell. What color do you plan on making your first alien character: Dark purple. Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Yes. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question. Why do you wish to play this specific race: I have always found skrell interesting to interact with, due to their alien-ness compared to humans and robots. They have unique mechanics such as psionics and Srom, a unique culture focusing on academic advancement and conformity, social credit score, and the distrust of synthetics. Leading to a different RP experience than humans or cyborgs. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: Skrell do not have human-like facial expressions, instead utilizing psionics and headtail movements to communicate their emotions, making interaction with non-skrell harder. They also tend to be much more conforming, and longer lived, further distancing their understanding of the world than that of a human. Character Name: Larioq Xiraq Please provide a short backstory for this character Larioq is a Xiiori reciever hatched in 2291, during the slaq-qog season in the city of Plebu’qlip on the planet Aweiji. Their Quya was comprised of four secondary numericals, two Xiialt and two Axiori, all of them working in Plebu'qlip's manufacturing facilities. Their Qrri’Myaq was a distinguished engineer, managing one of the many resource refining and export facilities built by Glorsh-Omega, sparking Larioq’s interest in engineering and industry. After passing the Odurserr Larioq proceeded to the Untuk'Mak, while learning there, the Federation discovered Humanity, further increasing Larioq's interest in the rest of the Spur, particularly the various human nations and cultures and their technological progress. After finishing their education at the reefgardens, Larioq enrolled in the Plebu’qlip University of Engineering and completed three degrees in engineering and adjacent fields. After their graduation Larioq found employment in one of Plebu’qilp’s many manufacturing complexes as part of the Qerr'Zolvq Industries enterprise, just like their Qrri’Myaq. For many years Larioq worked in the factories, fixing and building more of the industrial machinery, acquiring practical work experience, friendships, a good social credit score and monetary savings along the way. But after working so many years in one place, Larioq grew bored, and decided to venture to the city of Hyu’blaq’wesi, a religious hub in the north of Aweiji to receive religious guidance. After talking with a local starkeeper Larioq decided to spend their savings on visiting as much of the Federation, and the spur in general. After visiting many planets throughout the Federation, including Qerrbalak, Larioq settled back to their home on Aweiji to rest. Recently, Larioq decided to return back to work, and after some times a great opportunity was found, Through the Work Initiative Programme their application to work abroad was accepted, and Larioq was sent to the Republic of Biesel, to work on the SCCV Horizon. What do you like about this character? Larioq is a somewhat average skrell, making them a good first alien character. It is their first time being outside the Federation for a prolonged period, allowing new roleplay opportunities in Larioq exploring the outside Spur and meeting other species and cultures. How would you rate your role-playing ability? Pretty good. 7/10. Notes: Larioq's favorite food is boiled Fjylozyn. Larioq's social credit score is 6.03. I can expand the backstory if needed.
