This kid Donald from 7 to 8th grade. This mother fucker, I swear. I don't usually mind bullies, I consider myself an easy going, calm headed person. But with him? Im not ashamed to say he made me cry once, taking pokes at someone who died in my family, and I got in my first fist fight, and ONLY fist fights in school, with him. Three fights, and they are the only fist fights I can recall to this day. In short.

Borning title aside, yes, Skyrim. I don't know what counts as an 'old' game nowadays, but it came out in '11, and I still ove it just as much as I did when it first came out, and I wager some of you, at least one of you, does to. Basically, what race? Why? What guilds, etc. For me, I try to go full tilt, combat, gonna stab you in the face, Orc for the berserker, and easy access to ebony for late game smithing. Dark Brotherhood, Theives Guild, Companions, just because I can.

BYOND key: Jboy2000000 Character names: Jason Boyd (Now ERT only), Dandy Azoth/Mann, James Reaper, Jack Sullivan (Dead), Vadim Gorski, Heinrich Adler, Charlie Robinson, Ajmal Hamud, Miracle Kifer, Ryder Pratt, Jackson Sullivan, Alisa Keener, Damon Sloan, Elisa Keener (Future Character.) How long have you been playing on Aurora?: Five-Six Months. Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: To fill the ever so commonly needed yet rarely filled position of CMO, to keep medbay in line, and hopefully keep IC ethics in check. Why did you come to Aurora?: It was pure chance, none of the servers seemed to be working when I first downloaded BYOND, and Aurora was the first to work. I just stuck with it after that. Have you read the BS12 wiki on the head roles you plan on playing?:Yes Please provide well articulated and argumented answers to the following questions in a paragraph each. Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about:Roleplay, simply put, is about playing a rule you've give yourself. More than anything it should be about enjoying what you do, without making it less enjoyable for others. That being said, being a head roleplay is important, so you need to act maturely as them. What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?:The purpose of a head of staff is to make sure the staff under them work smoothly, and that if something goes awry they can work together with each other to resolve the situation in the best was possible. What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?:Setting a mark as others who want to play better or advance to heads themselves. I got to the point where I thought I was ready to be a head myself from watching, observing and learning from heads. I hope that I can live up to the people Ive observed by doing my best as a head and hopefully setting good examples for others. Please pick one of your characters for this section, and provide well articulated responses to the following questions. Character name: Alisa Keener Character age: 33 Please provide a short biography of this character (approx 2 paragraphs): She was born on Luna, to a married family with one missionary father and a mother in marines. For the first fives years of her life, her father taught her his religious believes, but in doing so ended up in the hospital every year on her birthday with water toxicity, caused by drinking to much holy water to celebrate another year of life. When she turned five, it stopped when she started going to Catholic school. It was strict, but she seemed to enjoy going to school everyone day of the week, especially her biology and religious study classes. However, no matter how much she loved her classes, she still had to retake a two years, getting out only after she spent an extra two years there. After which she started to attend Biesel Institute of Medical Science, after two more years severing with her father's missionary group. While she was in school, but before she started to go to medical school, she would go on the occasional trip with her father's missionary group, going to some of the less better off places around the galaxy, learning to love the species found around the station, and learning that just feeding people and giving them spiritual advice wasn't enough. People were getting sick and injured without proper medicine. Before she went to medical school, she started putting in hours in volunteer clinics whenever she went with her father. At first it was just grunt work, getting names, vitals, and doing paperwork, but eventually desperate people started letting her do more, take blood, treat open wounds, people died in her care, but she learned. The extra two failed years in school came from this, she was focused on wanting to help people in god's name so much, that she let her other classes fall through the gaps. After graduating, she continued on with doing missions for free, up until she couldn't because of costs. In an effort to keep helping people, she signed on with an unregistered trade vessel run out of border space, working as the sole medical personnel on board. That lasted up until the ship was seized for selling unregistered cargo. At that point no one would take her because of her fresh criminal record. Then she found Nanotrasen. What do you like about this character?:Shes my first attempt at having a group of people who know each other IC. Not only that, but its nice to have someone who actually cares so much about paperwork (its more fun than you think), and acts like a real person in that she actually cares about karma, religious and ethics. What do you dislike about this character?:Shes a bit timid, and she tends to respect heads more than others simply because they're a head, and that leads to situations where shes stuck kissing the boot of people people that don't deserve it, following orders without to much question. Do you think this character is fit to be a Head of Staff? (Please note that Head characters must be over 30, unless given special clearance):Yes Why?:Shes more than used to taking charge of people, even if is the injured of a small ship, and shes more than keen of making sure everything has its proper place, everything is there, and that paperwork is done and accounted for. Shes also had her own trial run as CMO, in a secret round where the station was attacked by "radical terrorists," and she handled herself well enough, earning no OOC scorn from those involved. Please provide well articulated and argued answers to the following questions. How would you rate your own roleplaying?:On a scale on 1-10, Id give myself an 8/10, because theres always more to work on, but I feel Im good, but 9 seems a little high, simply because I make a few to many spelling mistake than Id like to admit. Extra notes: I also intend to use Alisa as an HoP, if permitted. I heard that some people are scolded for joins as HoP if their character is 'old enough' to know and use the correct paperwork.

How would it have the same effect? All shortening the voting timer would do, would be shorten the vote timer. What I suggested would stop those annoying last second vote hoppers, but still allow the late comers to vote, and not stop the people who misclicked their first vote to change freely, pretty much word for word what I said in the OP. And while vote hopping isn't a harm, Im sure no one likes seeing the ever so rare extended mode switch from being tied to nuke to see "The round will be Nuclear Emergency." Not only that, to vote hop, someone has to deliberately vote for something along with all the other people who really want it, and not switch until the last second, making the people who really wanted to game mode thing "Holy shit this it!" and then dash it at the last second of the vote. If that isn't a dick move, I don't know what is.
-
No one likes vote hopping, it annoying, stupid, and just make everyone a bit miffed, when the extended round they were hoping for suddenly turns into secret or nuke or something. I don't know how coding works, so I don't know if what Im going to suggest is hard, or even impossible, but what I suggest is, if someone has already cast a vote, make it so they can't change their vote in the last ten seconds of the vote timer. That was if they misclicked somewhere along the way, the can still change their vote to what they wanted, and still stop those annoying last minute vote swappers.

I just noticed, a lot of servers look like they're dropping players and stuff like that, is ALL of SS13 being DDoS'ed or something?
-
Did we go off the list to try and prevent the DDoS'ing, or is something very wrong?
-
I present to you, a modified list of LCS pick-up lines, some removed to keep to the rules, sorry if I missed one or two that should be removed.
-
Scopes told me to have fun here. ANNNNNNNND IIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEIIIIIIIIIIII WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU! There, I did things with the thing, and made custom sized textuals.
-
Thats what I thought when I saw it, but I still can't get into the game, is anyone else have trouble?

Do you have any funny videos or Youtubers you'd like to share with your fellow Aurorains? I know I have a few, that I feel like Id love to share, and Id love to hear of my suggestions. First off, DangerDolan, a channel of unexpected, fun countdowns that range from stuff that makes you want to die laughing, to things that make you want to cringe and look away, but won't because you're already enthralled by his hypnotic voice. Id suggest, firstly, "15 Terrible Road Signs" video for a bit of a laugh. J2JonJeremy, second on the list, a lets player with a golden honey voice, currently in the middle of a Crusader Kings II and Elite Dangerous, he also has a few other runs of CKII, and a few other games. No REAL suggestion here, just go whenever your fancy draws, but there is one video of his that had parts that made me laugh so hard, I lost feeling in my arms and face. The mount and blades A game of Thrones mod playthough, episode 4, at the nine 9 and 13 mark. I won't leave a link, because the language at those parts are less than PG-13 and Id rather not risk anything. One F Jef, one of my favourites, hes the kind of person you love to love, and love to laugh at because they're an idiot. Also the person who loves to laugh at themselves because they're an idiot, and mentions they're an idiot when they do idiotic things. Basically, its like his motto, "Hi. I'm an internet. Welcome to me. Enjoy stuff. Thanks." He makes videos that make people laugh, and trust me, that will happen a lot.

Vittorio Giurifiglio: The New order
Jboy2000000 replied to Vittorio Giurifiglio's topic in Completed Items
I don't know if I like this, enough people, both ICly and OOCly, wonder why NT would keep someone so racist and politically humanist like Vitt as a head, one of the highest positions NT can offer out in space, and a company like that is probably always faced against by leftest/liberal/democrat protesters, and want to keep their image clean. Why would they allow something like this that implicates something so unstable and controversial onto a very important space station? But then theres the other part of me that says "this would not only look good in game, and could bring fun situations into the game." Shortly put, I don't have any strong standing on this. -
Regarding the Nuke Ops required amount of readied players
Jboy2000000 replied to Consgrove's topic in Archive
I said this once on the last thread, and Ill say it against since it seemed to be glossed over. This is not the problem with Nuke, people not readying, the problem is that nuke got voted in, and only seven people wanted to actually play nuke. Thats why I think we shouldn't lower or scale Nuke ops, we should change how the voting for it works, remove the need for past the post democracy. Make it so 15+ need to vote for nuke for it be put into place, and everyone would be happy. If 15 or more people want to play nuke, obviously they're going to ready and avoid the annoying revote periods. -
My thoughts. I like Baka's better. And, why the cig paper and filter? Self rolling whacky tobacy?

I blame the blamers of the Liberal media for God's forsakeness.

Since it'd be hard to reach into a sharps container without pricking your self, how about each time someone is dumb enough to reach in, they get pricked by a needle, and gets the effect of whatever chemicals were used in one of the syringes inside.

I like this, I like these a lot. Duffles are a lot better than backpacks (why do we wear backpacks to work anyway?) and believe it or not, I actually prefer duffles over regular bags. I don't even own a backpack, but do I own a duffle? Hell yeah. I don't know if other people agree, but from my view, duffles are better to carry around than packs.

Alisa Keener... ...Is now Alisa Stamos. The wedding took place on station, with Charlie Dove running the marriage, and Bryce Faust giving away the blushing, beautiful bride. ...got pregnant over their honeymoon to Mars. This was actually a random chance I gave myself, and RNJesus decided it was time for babies. ...will give her first child the middle name "Nasir" because Nasir sounds weird as a human first name, but Nasir was really excited to suggest it, and did a lot of work to help make the wedding happen.

I suggest we shove this bitch into Western Europe, say "WE LOVE DRUGS!" and then bring on the scantily clad women, throw them in the mud, and then start fighting! We should call it ADF, Aurora Death F***ers! Enter Samantha Mason "Did dey foiyah the startin' pistah yet?"

[Completed] Alexis Shaw's Degree in Xenoneurology
Jboy2000000 replied to Tenenza's topic in Completed Items
Im just gonna say something Im sure someone is going to, I kind of like this idea. Its like when you go someplace like a doctor's office, and see their diplomas hung on a wall someplace, it assures you the person you're talking to, or going to is actually competent. -
Whoops, I thought I replied to this an age ago, thats my bad. Basically, yes, it would be to just show around, throw about the idea to other people. Its something thats intended to repair damage to any limb like a welder and wires, but compact enough to fit in the palm of your hand (like the size of what I imagine the multitool looks like) and fit inside someone's pocket, coat etc, and he made it himself as a side project of home. Of course hes going to show it to his fellow scientists, or other people with prosthetics, not really shoving it in people's face, but sharing it with others to show off scientific curiosity. If he does loose it, oh well that sucks, but he can just go home and rebuild one, and thats just an opportunity for someone else to use his tool and helps themselves, it what he wanted anyway. Edit: Also! Thank you very much for that lovely little sprit Susan, even if this is denied, thanks for taking the time to make that.
