MattAtlas Posted September 14, 2018 Posted September 14, 2018 Applications: Head of Staff positions (including Captain and Consular or Liaison) are all included on one whitelist. Note that you may not apply for a Head of Staff application with a Consular or Liaison character. You must play non-Consular/Liaison roles for your trial. Read the application format thoroughly before posting! If a question requires a paragraph response and gets a single-sentence answer,or we feel you haven’t answered the question clearly or adequately, we will ask you to add more. Only post finished apps. Incomplete or WIP apps will be locked. Head of Staff applications must show player responsibility and meet community standards to be accepted. Head of Staff applications will be given at minimum three days to process before being approved. Contested/problematic applications will be left open for a longer period of time, until issues are addressed or the staff in charge conclude the person applying is not suited for a whitelist, no more than a week in standard cases. If an applicant fails to address player and staff concerns, the application will be declined. Your application may be given an extension of up to a week extra under the discretion of the whitelist team. You are required to be active during the application period. Applicants that never log on while the application is up will be declined. Demonstrate adequate writing/roleplay skills. If an application lasts for more than one week, refer to Who-To-Contact list You must link your byond account to your forum account. You can do that by accessing this link: https://byond.aurorastation.org/user/link Head of Staff Rules: Quote This section is for extra rules or clarifications that are specific to heads of staff. These rules will be enforced in game as normal. A Consular must represent an official interest group, present on the wiki, that is reasonably connected to the SCC: this excludes criminal factions, pirate factions, and so on. A Consular may be from a sub-faction such as house Zhao, but they must still fully represent the major faction they belong to. To make sure that your Consular character fits this description, contact a member of the command whitelist team. Head of staff characters do not automatically have the knowledge of an entire department. This means that a Chief Medical Officer cannot know how to make chemicals and surgery at the same time, for example. You are still expected to play a character with a reasonable education for that department. Community Feedback: Anyone can vote. And you're encouraged to! State clearly why you are supporting/rejecting the applicant. Votes that comprise solely of "+1" or "-1" with no additional input will be ignored and/or deleted. Don't downvote someone just for being new! Instead, take note of their characters and make an effort to roleplay with them so you can make an informed opinion. Pointless feedback will be deleted. If your feedback is in no way constructive or has nothing important behind him (such as simply writing "-1 he's dumb"), then your comment will be deleted without warning. Regarding Command whitelist removal: Failure to uphold the standards put in place for a member of command. Receiving too many administrative actions. Any temporary ban, job ban or permanent ban will result in the whitelist being removed. The previous conditions are under the discretion of the team to enforce. If you disagree with the removal, create a staff complaint for others to review.
