Short summary of your character:

The troublemaker of the family.

He always had been the one causing fights, and ruckus when he was a child. Always angry for no foreseeable reason, He was only really calm when around his siblings, or when he was working on something. He is especially quick to anger when someone is racist to one of his siblings, and will take some physical persuasion to keep him from tearing the racist to tiny bits.

He is especially talented at working on high maintenance equipment, and repairing things of that nature.

Je'Rian and Za'Had both get a hesitant +1, people have been making some complaints about there being too many Mo'Takis now (And one gave a very valid IC point regarding conflict of interest with a family working on the same workstation - Especially if one or more are heads of staff - Ryu is a Head of Security).

So while I'd like to see more family, I'm not entirely sure if it's a good idea to have more Mo'Takis on the Aurora. As it is, I think it's the biggest family of player characters at the moment (6 different characters currently, iirc - Ziva, Karima, Kai, Ryu'daken, Tavaku, and Rasul)

Za'Had gets my pre-emptive +1, but I do want Je'Rian to first pass acceptance, then get assimilated into Mo'Taki, before we add Za'Had.

Sierra does make a fair point - there's gonna be a case of nepotism going around very soon. But all I can think of is back when Tool had his huge family.

I....I dunno. I think we're adding members too fast. But on the flip side, there's only been once when we had 4 Mo'Taki on station. Most of the time it's just 1-2. That's acceptable, right?

I don't really know if I count as a leader or something for the mo'taki's or anything but I've got my two cents.

before i comment on Valk and Prospekt, I wanna say that we did just add firstact to the family, I think we should let Rasul join in and take his time to settle before adding others, as we are large in numbers, not sure we can bring in mo mo'taki.

I think that prospekt's app is lacking in personality, we don't get to know who this characters gonna be, so I'm not sure what we're going on.

I think Valks app is good, but Tavaku is the families token "trouble maker", so adding another one might be some good rp, we're not a diverse bunch.

That being said, I think you both are great roleplayers and would make great additions to the mo'takis.

I think Valk has waited long enough, and no one is against her app anyway. If no one makes any counter posts within 24 hours of this post, I'm gonna give the green light.

Troublemaker with the spesslaw? (totally fine if you are) He has had several minor charges including drunk and disorderly but nothing major or violent.

Short summary of your character: (You're family! It's a given that every Mo'Taki already know you before you step on station.) The youngest of his family, Uthal would spend most of his youth working in a tavern near the docks in Kal'tiv as a waiter and in the kitchen, eventually earning enough money to buy his own bar on the outskirts of the city. After several years of unsuccessfully running his own bar he fell into debt and ended up having to sell his beloved bar. Falling into a depression and feeling defeated he moved in with his Brother who told him that his daughter had began working on the Aurora and was sent to seek employment with them. His Brother hoped that Uthal would be able to turn his life around and at the same time keep an eye on his daughter; like all good Fathers he was worried about her safety.

 

Can't do, sorry. Reason is because one of these days, I will bring Karima's older brother to the station as a cargo tech. Karima's immediate family is off-limits. :/

However, Uthal can be a cousin. Ziva's family isn't the only Mo'Taki.

 

Sorry to take so long to reply to this. Could he instead be Nida and Rahat's cousin? Making Uthal's Father Majid's Brother, their for Hadiya and Majid would be Unthal's Uncle and Auntie. Not sure what that would make him to Karima, probably a distant cousin. He would be in his late 30s possibly older. I will redo his backstory but I thought I better sort out where he sits in the family first.

This would place him in line as uncle to the rest, and any kids he would have, would be 'second cousin' to Karima, Ziva, etc. Currently, all aunts/uncles/mothers/fathers sit at an age of 50. Majid is deceased, and Hadiya is a very old M'Sai Tajara - grandmother to current Mo'Taki. So Uthal's father would need to be a lot younger for 30 year old uncle Uthal to fit - father would probably the youngest in that immediate family.

This can work, certainly. Tavaku, the oldest in the bloodline, is 29 and Lulu is only five. That's a 24 year old age gap...so 20 years wouldn't be too far fetched. He could be a 30 year old uncle.

Eh, I like it. The age is close enough to current Mo'Taki. I'll give my +1, and wait to see what others have.

Edit: Oh wait, I misread that...late 30s. The thing I'm iffy about is I don't want a family hierarchy to develop among the Mo'Taki. I really want all of em to be of equal say and equal grounds. "You can't boss me, I'm older" - is something I do wanna avoid.

From a scale of 1-10, how much of a troublemaker are you? 1=flawless angel, 10=NukeOp 2. Uthal is a hard working Tajara who hardly has time to relax or get up to no good.

Character personality (1 paragraph, short summary) Uthal is a hard working Tajara who cares a great deal about his family like most Mo'Taki. He is not one to try and boss around his younger kin but rather offer them advice on how to better deal with given situations. He tries his best to not put his nose in others business but is always willing to give a helping hand when needed. Acts as a sympathetic ear and a shoulder to lean on for the younger Mo'Taki.

Any medical, security, etc. notes? Uthal has never been arrested or had any serious medical problems.

Short history of your character, 2 paragraphs minimum: (You're family! It's a given that every Mo'Taki already know you before you step on station.) Uthal is the only child to Doctor Hafeez Mo'Taki and Azraa Mo'Taki who owned a family run medical clinic in Kal'tiv where Uthal would help, mostly cleaning and keeping paperwork in order. Having no siblings of his own, Uthal would befriend his older cousins Rahat and Nida who he would become close with during his youth. Uthal wishing to follow in his Father's footsteps moved to the Ahdomai capital where he would in roll into the NT operated medical school. During his time studying he would meet his now wife Yalina who he has a 4 year old girl Varisha with (a possibly other children depending if anyone wishes to play as one of Uthals kids). After completing his medical training Uthal would move back to Kal'tiv where he would work for a few years at his Fathers clinic eventually taking it over once his Father had retired. Uthal was struggling to make enough money from the clinic to look after his wife and child along with supporting his elderly Mother and Father so he turned to his cousin Rahat for advice. Rahat told Uthal that many of the younger Mo'Taki kin had been working on the NSS Aurora where they had been earning far more than what they would by staying in Kal'tiv. Even though it would mean he would be away from his wife and Daughter Uthal took the opportunity to work on the space station because he was badly in need of the extra credits and at the same time he could keep an eye on the other Mo'Taki, being the clans personal doctor.

Notes: Uthal isn't one for family hierarchy or ordering around younger kin unless of course it is one of his own children then expect some bossyness.

So it has been a couple months since I last applied for this and at that time we had around 6 Mo'Taki active causing my app to be denied by Sierra which was fair to me but 2 months on the Mo'Taki numbers have fallen to the point where it is rare to see more than 2 on the station. Just checking if maybe you changed your mind about it, Nebs and Nano both liked my app, if not I will check back in a couple more months. Need Mo Mo'Taki, one of the best families on Aurora.
