Korhin
BYOND key: korhinCharacter names: Nathan HorrowitzHow long have you been playing on Aurora?: I would have to give a rough estimate of about a week or more. Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: I wish to be on whitelist so i may be able to create new characters with the wide variety of species available. Why did you come to Aurora?: I came to Aurora because it focused on roleplay as a whole and gave more of a fulfilling and relaxing experience compared to other servers.Have you read the Aurora wiki on the head roles and qualifications you plan on playing?: YesHave you received any administrative actions? And how serious were they? I have never received any administrative actions. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each. Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about: I believe roleplaying is acting and essentially becoming another person. It is done so that you may put yourself in another person's shoes (or shoes you have made yourself) and portray that person's personlities, traits, quirks, emotions, ect. It should be about enjoying the events and the conversations your find yourself in. To be put in a story that is made by you and others around you. Overall, roleplaying should be about playing a role, and enjoying the events of being that other person. What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?: The OOC purpose of a Head of Staff would be to make sure that OOC is clean of any statements made that would break any of the rules. Anything from harassment to metagaming and advertising should be swiftly ended before a bigger situation grows out of it. Overall, the Head of Staff maintains a safe, friendly OOC environment for anyone. What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: I believe that the OOC responsibilities of a whitelisted player is to hold themselves up to a higher standard in the case of upholding the rules and providing a friendly server for anyone to play on. If i were to have the responsibilities of a whitelisted member, i would do whatever i can to ensure that everyone is having a roleplay friendly experience, all the more making sure that all rules are being upheld. Could you give us the gist of what is currently happening in Tau ceti and how it affected your character and their career? My current character, Nathan Horrowitz , has had little to no affect on his part when it comes to the loss of Tau Ceti from the Sol Alliance. He was too young for any sort of politics or economics to get in his way of a simple education in his eyes. He has had to change his course of occupation, since he could no longer stay in the company that he was working for after a scarring accident occured, and the pay was not enough any more. He turned his gaze to the Nantransen in order to look for a more sustainable and profitable career, and was lucky to be given the chance to learn under the many people he would meet as he turned a new leaf in his life. What roles do you plan on playing after the application is accepted? I plan on creating a IPC that is a member of the medical department. Another idea is a IPC that is a librarian, who creates his own books and runs his own news network, all the while getting in trouble for taking a step too far in the way of "Getting the story." I have little experience in the way of medical and science, so i would be more of a burden then help, so i do not believe i will be taking any important roles soon. Characters you intend to use for command or have created for command. Include the job they will be taking.: I have not planned on making any of my characters a commanding officer, as i purely do not have enough time under my belt to be running anything on the station efficiently. This will change in due time, but i expect not for a while as i still get the hang of things. If the time comes where i will be taking command of a certain department, i would have to look towards becoming chief engineer, as it already follows the story of my well established character. How would you rate your own roleplaying?: I believe i still need to polish in the way my characters speak, as they all follow the same way of speech that is really monotone, and not all too special or interesting. Other than that, i do ad the occasional action and use proper punctuation in my dialogue, also making sure that i use proper words instead of ok or lol. I would give myself a solid 6 or 7 out of 10, with a good amount of room for improvement. Do you understand your whitelist is not permanent, and may be stripped following continuous administrative action? Yes, i do understand. Have you familiarize yourself with the wiki pages for the command roles? Extra notes: I believe only a month has passed ever since i began to play this game. It is still new to me, and i learn new kinks with every death, explosion, and dismemberment that comes with it (Not in that order). My only intentions at the moment is to use the whitelist in order to create characters with different races, as i do enjoy playing as other beings. Thank you. Link to comment
Allakai
Hmmm while I appreciate the thought and care put into this whitelist I cannot quite agree with a whitelist given your experience on Aurora for one week and your relative young age on SS13; however! That is not a negative thing! I certainly appreciate the enthusiasm behind this! While I am not giving a blanket +1 or a -1 I am going to simply say I am neutral but leaning towards no than yes. Again this is not a negative -1 (hah ironic), I simply am not certain you are ready for the role of a command member. I suggest perhaps playing Aurora for at least another month or so and certainly make more characters as I have unfortunately never met Nathan Horrowitz. Concerning some other things you had stated this: 5 hours ago, Korhin said: What roles do you plan on playing after the application is accepted? I do believe instead of a command application you are searching for an IPC whitelist, I highly suggest applying for that instead! Again this is a wonderful application but my earlier stated points are my thoughts on the whole thing. Edit: I am a massive joke and realized you are requesting a blanket whitelist request not a command whitelist. Yikes on my side and my bad. But my points still stand lmao. TheSleepyCatmom
I also think you mean to use the "Alien Whitelist Format" found here. This is the "Command" whitelist format, so a tiny bit confusing at first glance. There's no 'blanket' whitelist for the server, and every whitelist in and of itself is specific. You need to apply for each one. Link to comment
Juani2400
As @TheSleepyCatmom has said, our command whitelist is separate from the species ones, which are themselves one of their own for each species. I am going to deny the application, but you are free to re-apply for any of the whitelists mentioned above with no restrictions. Good luck! Link to comment
