Coalf
So recently I was visiting the "Recent Changes" part of the wiki and I noticed that there are a lot of, quite major changes on the wiki. I got two perfect examples today: 1) Unathi Transgenderism, which is touched on in the religious part of the wiki. This is a very important topic for people, due to the fact it might directly impact their characters/whitelists etc. 2) Skrell Economy Page, this one isn't very important to characters and people on the station, however, it is important in the larger picture of things. Neither of these appears in the Lore_Diary even though they're quite important changes, the last entry being from last Saturday by Bygone. Although perhaps the people involved just forgot, however, I still believe the following should be done even if that is the case, as to prevent future incidents. We've struggled since forever to deliver lore to the player base and I have no reason to believe this struggle has stopped now. So I believe a public statement should be made, explaining where to find lore updates, how to watch out for lore updates and when they're going to be posted. And then a guide for staff-members themselves to follow, along with stricter expectations for the lore_diary and its updates. Or at the least some kind of "Golden Rule" for the updates so people don't have to visit 5 different places to find out if the lore was updated or not. Edited June 7, 2019 by Coalf Link to comment

It appears in the lore diary on the skrell server. I didn't consider it to be of paramount importance because it was simply repeating stuff which I was already running off when making decisions. Regarding the bigger picture, it does not really matter because Jargon uses galactic credit to trade with other galactic powers anyway. The unathi transgenderism thing is also a fine thing to just post on an unathi server's lore diary. It does not really impact all people on station, and it is not a massive lore change that can affect your whitelist, nor is it a huge update. I don't recall if we actually have an unathi server, though. Edited June 7, 2019 by VTCobaltblood Link to comment

Which is why I think we should have a guideline so it's clear to players what is of paramount importance and what is not. Or at least where to expect the lore updates. Link to comment
VTCobaltblood
Just now, Coalf said: Or at least where to expect the lore updates. You can expect the lore updates regarding a particular race to be in the lore diary of that particular species' server. I log every single update for Skrell I do, but on the Skrell server so as to not clog the lore diary up with things people may not even be interested in. I won't argue that a consistent guideline wouldn't be useful, though, because it would. Link to comment
Guest Marlon Phoenix
The update for Unathi was a minor update to clarify an element of the notable doctrines which have been present for years already. The skrell economy page should be referenced, and it will be so. The lore bible is the most important change which needs to be referenced and now it has been. Link to comment
