Susan Posted June 5, 2020 Posted June 5, 2020 (edited) I've observed and taken part in many cult rounds, and inevitably it seems the new meta is to spam the summon ghost rune. This is not very fun to play against for many reasons: 1. Cult ghosts are immune to pain, broken bones, internal organ damage, and practically everything else. 2. Multiple ghosts can be summoned, and the summoner is no longer required to pay a serious price for this. Whereas previously you could only summon one and had to remain on the rune, now you are capable of summoning several and moving with them. Cult ghosts can survive beyond the death of their summoner, as well. 3. Brainmed has made the cult sword stupid. One swipe in the chest and your lungs are broken. Meanwhile, cult ghosts can take an entire laser rifle clip and still survive. This has led to tactics wherein a large amount of ghosts are summoned to wreck all opposition at no risk for the summoners and with no way for the people being attacked to really fight off their summons. People are limited by pain and their bodies actually respond to being stabbed. Cult ghosts do not. They cannot be flashed, stunned, and have way too high health and an abysmal TTK. They are not fun to play against. Also, cult ghosts are apparently immune to having anything embedded in them and cannot be slipped. Why. Edited June 5, 2020 by Susan

As for the rest; nopain is fine, but they should suffer the effects of broken bones and and to a lesser extent organ damage (disregarding the pain induced by organ damage). If the sword is excessively strong then that likely also needs a looking over.
Naelynn Posted June 7, 2020 Posted June 7, 2020 This topic has came up before here: Just like back then, I will keep lobbying for the nerf of apparition spam, and I still believe my proposed solution to it back then was an elegant one: Make apparitions not cultists + impossible to convert. - They can't use cult swords, - They can't help with runes, encouraging actual conversion of in game players. - If the cult wants to go the murder-aparrition spam route they can, they just need to find weapons elsewhere, and each dead apparition will bleed out their stock of tools [meaning no infinite armies]
