Krab Meister
- BYOND Key; Krab Meister- Character Names: Evangeline Watari, Elena Leporis, Tania Moldovan, AEBA (pAI) - Species you are applying to play: Dionae- Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Yes, the Dionae lore, history, culture and the notable factions. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question. - Why do you wish to play this specific race: It seems interesting because of the experience it could give me, as well as exploring a new way of roleplaying. I've liked to have my characters interact with Dionaes and I personally love their design. - Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: First of all, the difference between the psychology, the way they think. As well as the different gameplay elements such as the nymph spitting, the biomass-related building, the light and radiation that influences health and walking speed is also great. - Character Name: Keepers Of Binary Thoughts- Please provide a short backstory for this character Keepers Of Binary Thoughts was, and always have been interested in synthetic life while being mute themselves and having only access to rootsongs to communicate 'vocally'. They have learned about robotics in some stations as they travelled and asked for a sample of blood from some of the roboticists on shift. Having earned enough knowledge to consider themselves biomechanical engineers, they have applied to work for NanoTrasen while not paying mind to their politics. They will not let themselves get carried away by their feelings and become aggressive. However, they will not stop someone from becoming aggressive either, unless they are directly threatened. However, they will often decide to talk rather than fight.- What do you like about this character? Keepers Of Binary Thoughts will be attracted to everything robotics-related, whether it is prosthetics limbs, IPCs or cyborgs. However, they will tend to stay away from exosuits, or only build them if asked or ordered to.- How would you rate your role-playing ability? Staying humble, I would say I am decent at roleplaying. I have been doing roleplays similar to those of SS13 on Discord, where it was text only. I've gotten used to Aurora's UI and mechanics by now as well. Notes: Keepers of Binary Thoughts will have access to the robotics lab's circuitry kit, and will always make a translator in order to translate Rootsong to Tau Ceti Basic however they do understand the language perfectly and speak a few words of said language. Zundy
An interesting concept. A couple of questions from me: -Where was Keepers born and how did they travel around from station to station? -How does Keepers feel about the Biesel Dionae community? Link to comment
Zundy
Oh and also why can't they speak normally? Link to comment
Krab Meister
-Where was Keepers born? Keepers was born in Venter Cetus, in the Venter System. (The one near Konyang, in the Sol Alliance's outer ring) -How did they travel around from station to station? They made deals with whoever owned the shuttles. Since most things about Dionae are unknown to humans, they exchanged a trip whereever the shuttle went, in exchanged for informations. Even though they fooled a lot of people this way, by telling basic things, such as the nymph splitting, the rootsong, et cetera. -How does Keepers feel about the Biesel Dionae community? They are envious, being from the Sol Alliance, they are obviously oppressed and unhappy and wish to be treated like other Dionae, such as those in Biesel. -Why can't they speak normally? Keepers' answer would be "Lack of practice." However, it is a disfunction in their genes, but it can be fixed with time. Edited August 30, 2020 by Krab Meister Unaccurate details have been removed. Zundy
Ok sounds cool. One more that just came to me: -Do all the nymphs in the gestalt share the same genetic issue? Link to comment
Krab Meister
-Do all the nymphs in the gestalt share the same genetic issue? No, not most of them. Three quarters of Keepers' nymphs have this issue, The last quarter however remains silent as if they had this issue as well. These ones are the reason why Keepers speaks very little Basic, understands it flawlessly and isn't practically mute. Link to comment
Caelphon
Hi there! Sorry, it slipped my mind to take a look; I'm here now! First off, your backstory seems kind of slim but I'll give ya few pointers to expand a bit on: (Preferably in a connecting paragraph) 1) How does Binary feel about the Solarian Occupation/Debt Repayment of Dionae? How has this affected them? 2) Bloodsamples aren't really enough to give you a degree, so Binary would have to get some sort of official education. How does this affect them, and where do they go? Do they enjoy conventional ways of studying? Or did they 'cheat' their way through School with blood from classmates? 3) How does your character feel about the current arc? Does it affect them? 4) The Biesel Dionae are about to get a lot more info added to them, specifically their founding date and how much they've contributed to the safety/providing of a haven to Dionae from across the Spur. Does Binary find themselves longing to join them, or watch from afar? Link to comment
Krab Meister
First off, your backstory seems kind of slim but I'll give ya few pointers to expand a bit on: (Preferably in a connecting paragraph) Going back over the job studies, Binary has been studying a lot on his own, but did rely a lot on his friends at the academy when it came to the subjects they were having trouble with. However, they did keep the whole 'borrowing' blood part away from everything that is considered official studies. Needless to say, they did cheat a few times, but only when all else failed. Binary are disappointed by the Solarian Occupation, but glad that there is some monetary relief to the pain and struggles they went through. Even though they like to think it's better than nothing, they still expected more, which brings us to the current event. With the Sol Alliance's decline, Binary is not taking any actions to help it, or go against it. They only watch things unfold while hoping that the Sol Alliance would get what they deserve for everything they've done not only against Binary and his nymphs, but also for the other Dionaes there. While they are also looking at the Biesel Dionae's haven, they find themselves eager to join them, they'd be willing to join them, but they would like to know more about them first. Binary doesn't want to go into a place named a 'Haven' that could potentially be worse than the Sol Alliance because of a lack of information. Link to comment
