Desven Posted February 27, 2021 Posted February 27, 2021 It has always baffled me why baymed had no ears, considering how complex it is regarding other systems (which do have them as an organ). It is always depressing, as medical staff, to see a person gone deaf asking for help and not being able to fix them in any way. In summary: Ears as an organ, either located in the head (skull) or being able to target them directly from the doll (like eyes and mouth). Hearing medicine (inacusiate), hearing aids (I think they're a cosmetic currently, but you could wear them in cases were inacusiate would not normally work), and ear cybernetic organs. Extra: total deafness, partial deafness (could be like hearing everything as whispers), and mild deafness (probably just missing some words or a text saying “You find it hard to listen”). I wish I could code this to make a PR, and I hope it is not too hard to do. If anything, just adding ears and inacusiate would be good for the game.
Carver Posted February 27, 2021 Posted February 27, 2021 As long as the system isn't so dumb that it thinks severing an ear makes you deaf. Make it require in-depth surgery and/or similar combat mechanics to blinding someone with a pen/screwdriver to actually deafen them.
