Custom Gear Preferences Suggestion Thread.

Not touching code for a bit but when I do: Makeup in the form of a makeup kit. Would like a specially sprited box but if not, it'll just be a box. This is because I don't want to use up another one million spots on the list for every color. Just leaving it as a note here.

Folder: use clipboards. hsssss. or convert your internals box into a folder.

No monocles. There's no good reason for you to have a monocle. Get armor from a locker like all the other officers.

And. If you want clothing, I will once again need the name of the clothing item. Including the description will help me find it.

This is a executive suit. It is a normal-sized item.

A formal trouser suit for women, intended for the station's finest.

Apologies for bringing this up again, but talking as player focusing on psych/crime scene investigations, neither clipboards or boxes will do, or so I feel.

It is a minor (if not even smaller) issue, of course, but having your evaluations and reports and all neatly packed in folders with attachements and labels and all that jazz fancy stuff - that'd be a nice final touch to the job. It wouldn't probably make anyone more effective, but the authenticity.

But as I said, I recognize that this is fairly ridiculous issue and if no is your final word, you shall hear from me no more.

I also begin realize I have a bureaucracy fetish.

There's a dozen in the officers break room and none of them ever uses them. You should be able to order a bunch in a Stationary crate though, if more are needed.

Again I must say that the goal is not to have every item you want in the custom loadout.

If there is a way to get the item IC'ly, you should look to that before going for the loadout.

I swear, people do fight over the suit. As in, we all look for it ICly, there's just not enough for everybody.

Namely with Tytos here, we meet on the spot on regular basis. That has to count for something.

I was giving a reminder. I've been toying with the idea about suit's and clothing being job restricted, because seeing most of the job roles in a suit doesn't make sense at all.

"Neglect of Duty" would be the corporate regulation that prevents that, though. Job-specific clothing exists for a reason. Non scrubs/jumpsuits-labcoats equipment is unsafe in medical because of sanitation/contagion, suits wouldn't make sense in science because they don't offer an appropriate amount of protection in comparison to labcoats, and they wouldn't be safe/appropriate equipment in engineering either because they would be cumbersome, restrictive in movement, unable to carry an engineer's equipment (toolbelt works just fine, sadly, but for the sake of immersion), and probably not as regulated for safety compliance as approved engineering gear is.

Security has the excuse that officers must wear uniform at all times to be identifiable, so again, no suits there.

You can make folders. Empty your internals box, click box. Turn box into cardboard. Cardboard can be used to craft folders, pretty sure. Lot of spare boxes in medbay if you want to keep your original, too.
