Custom Gear Preferences Suggestion Thread.

I forgot about this, but we should probably start up a new one.

On character setup, you can pick custom gear. Suggest stuff you want to see and want to use, and not stuff-that-isn't-there. It's a pretty heavily populated list, so we want to avoid more clutters.

Resource Integration Gear: Can automatically attach this item to your jumpsuit and it monitors your vitals for you. Examining yourself gives full damage readouts. Medical can monitor your vitals with the RIG attached to your jumpsuit as well. Taking lethal damage makes your RIG make an audible flatline that can be heard from one room over. Additionally, Medical can detect this immediately and dispatch security to the victim.

We added a few of the fancy suit's, we decided against the other suits because we didn't want everything available to everyone/on the list.

Briefcases added in secure and unsecured flavors. Two and three points irrespectively.

Zippo added for one(1!) point. If you want a cheap lighter, you can get it from the smoke machine easily enough every round so.

And possibly the dark version of the hard worn suit [because it is damn classy] unless it has built in armour then leave it out.

Done and done! If you want the suit, I need the item name for it so I can check what it is. An unarmored variant can be copypasted with pretty much zero effort. And even if it's armored, well. It's 10 armor. I don't think anyone cares that much. But I need a name.

Briefcases coming next update. As for the HoS trenchcoat. Well. You can get that from your locker easily enough. Don't want clutter.

Species-specific hardsuit modkits is actually an amazing idea, though. I was worried about needing a million of them inside EVA. Being able to spawn with your own modkit kinda' solves the problem nicely. Don't know if new hardsuit sprites are ready yet though. Will hold off on it but keep it in mind.

Seriously, those things are actually fairly hard to come by, and I don't think it's possible to make any more then what's on the station. Plus, it's not like you can abuse something that only holds paper.

If I remember correctly, which is a little unlikely than it is likely, you can make folders with cardboard sheets.

Someone should also be allowed to join the game as an implanted personnel, though, instead of having to go to science or security and awkwardly ask for one OOCly.

Implants were suggested before. They were denied because of no control over who got them and it would be more work for the admins to check on everyone for implants as they join.

If someone needs an implant they can OOC for one or ask an admin to implant them.

Why does Kane need this?

If someone needs an implant they can OOC for one or ask an admin to implant them.

 

You could transform the Security checkpoint so you can't get in without passing it, and equip it with an implanter and a stock of implants. That way if anyone'sd 'supposed' to be implanted, they can stop in and ask for it there before getting on shift, and it'd make the checkpoint a place worth manning.

Folders. I don't know about you guys, but I'm real tired of running around the station and stealing folders.

Also, +1 for the black suit. I know everybody says that, and everybody is told that this isn't about fashion, but THE BLACK SUIT.

Not touching code for a bit but when I do: Makeup in the form of a makeup kit. Would like a specially sprited box but if not, it'll just be a box. This is because I don't want to use up another one million spots on the list for every color. Just leaving it as a note here.

Folder: use clipboards. hsssss. or convert your internals box into a folder.

No monocles. There's no good reason for you to have a monocle. Get armor from a locker like all the other officers.

And. If you want clothing, I will once again need the name of the clothing item. Including the description will help me find it.
