Why do you wish to play this specific race:
I've always been fascinated by the skrell and their culture, specifically their decentralised way of living, and their attunation to psionics. I've found it quite fascinating in my interaction with skrell on the server, and I greatly enjoy interactng with the species. I think it would also be good for me to diversify my character roster with more alien individuals, and I hope that at some point I can expand my roleplaying skills through the various different cultures and species in the game.

Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human:
The skrell are a pragmatic race, and a race of mostly intellectuals. They tend to observe more than act, and generally focus on the "long" view of life, valuing the greater good over individual gain. Skrell tend to express their emotions both psionically and through body language and their words, due to their lack of facial muscles. Skrell are very descriptive, and tend to emote through words, and are less affected by traditional insults and stress.

Character Name: Vuloquo Xrrili

Please provide a short backstory for this character:
Vuloquo Xrrili was born in an egg clutch of three eggs. As they grew from tadpole to that of a young skrell, they began their journey through not only the psionic wake, but also life itself. Having a pair of friendly parents, they entered their first primary school at the age of five. They did well in primary school, and reached maturity rather quickly, completing all the necessary courses throughout all of their schooling. They were unremarkable for a skrell to say the least. It was soon, however, after they completed their medical training, that they decided to join the Jargon Federation's Military. They underwent the traditional genetic treatments. 

It was here that they met one of their closest partners, and they went on to pursue a relationship with them, continuing even after they left the military. Their partner soon left as well, and by then Vuloquo Xrrili was 82 years old. It was time for them to start a new era in their life, so they would not be labelled as 'lazy' by their peers. They decided to pursue a career with Zeng-Hu, given their friendly relationship with the Jargon Federation. They were soon transferred to the odin, before then being transferred again to tha aurora. So begins their new story, now with a partner, and a stable, competitive job.

What do you like about this character?:
I enjoy this character mainly because it's my introduction to the skrellian world. I still have a lot to learn, but I think I can do well.

How would you rate your role-playing ability?
I believe my roleplaying ability to be around average. I tend to try my best to stick to a particular character gimmick, and if something goes wrong, I try to remedy it.

Of course. I was going off of the basic lore page, so here are my posts after reading ALL the other pages.

 

1. What planet is Voluquo from?
Qerrbalak, specifically the city of Ka'lo. They are of the Axiori subspecies.

2. What is Voluquo's Social Credit Score?
8/10 - Voluquo has a high social credit score, as they are outwardly supportive of the Jargon Federation, have not committed crimes, and follow Weishii. They also have taken efforts to reproduce with their Qu'Poxii, having undergone the J’ox’a with them.

3. How does Voluquo feel about the Federation?
Voluquo is overtly supportive of the federation, and they actively take part in effort to contribute to it. They believe, as the home of the skrell, they should work towards helping their fellow members of the federation, to ensure that something like the Glorsh does no re-occur.

4. When you say Voluquo joined the Military, do you mean the Qukala?
I was considering either the Tupkala or the Qukala, yes. More likely, however, due to their psionic potential, they would be put in a position involving the use of such talents, along with their medical skills, perhaps as a ship's counsellor, or a medical officer.

5. What kind of relationship did they have with their partner? Did they form a Quya? How did their J'ox'a go, if so?
As previously mentioned, they had a J'ox'a with their partner. It went well. They found out that their partner is an artistic thinker; one that thinks outside the box and wishes to strive towards artistic excellence. They often present ideas to Voluquo that they would normally find unconventional, which they enjoy. On the contrary, Voluquo was able to show that they are very pragmatic, following an adherence to logic and rationality, but also deeply considering the emotions of others. They both believe that they complement eachother's intellect, and as such performed the Quya.

6. Is Voluquo a Listener or Reciever?
They are a receiver, being both psionically proficient and sensitive. This has led to some more open doors to them, and some closed doors, and has resulted in a difference in lifestyle for them and their Qu'Poxii (starlover).

7. What religion/belief do they follow?
As previously mentioned, Voluquo follows Weishii.

8. How does Voluquo feel about C'thur and Federation Diona? If Voluquo was in the Qukala, how do they feel about their full intergration into it?
They feel that as long as those who are willing to be loyal to defending their homeland remain that way, they see no problem with minor integration. However, they do somewhat oppose the full integration of the Lukala into the Qukala, but has not yet found a logical reason other than their personal feelings, so often disregards this in normal conversation.

9. Does Voluquo have any thoughts of the Traverse Refugee Crisis, and the Skrell Refugees in Biesel?
They do not agree with Biesel's policies regarding the forced enlistment in the TCFL, or the initial treatment of skrell refugees. For those refugees willing to escape the combat, they deemed it saddening that the individuals were mistreated, and then forced to work in a military.

10. How does Voluquo feel about Megacorporations making progress in the Federation via the Special Economic Zones?
Voluquo has no official stance on the SEZ's as they have not personally encountered the effects of it, however they are supportive of Zeng Hu, as they have been loyal employers to them.

11. Who did Voluquo vote for in the recent Election?
They are a follower of Symbiosism, so they voted for: 

12. Voluquo is 82 years old, which places them in the "Supernova Era" of Skrell, this was a time of little births for the Skrell, how did their parents treat them?
As a supernova child, they were treated carefully, and prizedly by their parents. Their Qrri'Myaq and Qraa'Myaq took extreme care in teaching the young tadpole about the importance of the stars and learning new things, and this led to them eventually seeking their travel to human space.

Alright, your lore knowledge seems sufficient and you do seem to have the potential to play a good Skrell.

While a species app is not as difficult to obtain as a Head of Staff application, we still consider OOC conduct when making our decisions. You have a long history of bringing IC into OOC, getting aggressive in LOOC, overstepping job restrictions and harassing those that dislike your main. I know you’ve been trying to curb these behaviors, but you’ve only recently returned and the Skrell Team still considers them to be factors.

Despite this, we saw you branching out into a different race, and took it on good faith that you were trying to make new characters. We were willing to accept your application and merely monitor you for undesirable Skrell roleplay.
