What it likely spawns from is the lingering knowledge or tropes from Necropolis which as years go on, should resolve itself. There have been and are a lot of fantastically written Zavodskoi IPCs. I wouldn't remove them purely because it would take away already played characters, which isn't fair at all. If I was going to edit them at all, it would be to give them more lore to work with. TheMaskedReader
I'm of the opinion that from what I've seen Faye talk about on the various Aurora discords, that they'd bring a very interesting take to Synthetic lore. This can be considered a plus one, if that has any say. However, I do have some questions. 1. One of the least developed sects in the Trinary Perfection is the Practitioners, since they basically exist as a broad umbrella to categorize all of the frontier churches maintained by independent priests of the Perfection. They have no real ideology or beliefs, unlike basically every other religious faction, Trinary or not. What would you do to add more nuance and depth to them? 2. You've mentioned several times that you think that there are enough places where synthetics are repressed or on the backfoot, and I agree with you. Therefore, how would you theoretically write attitudes about spaces where synthetics are allowed to be free, but which are currently undeveloped in regard to such attitudes, such as much of the Coalition of Colonies, especially with regards to combining it with existing ideologies and lore, such as Himean Syndicalism. 3. To circle back around to the Trinary Perfection and other synthetic factions, what role do you think that factions such as the Golden Deep and the Trinary Perfection should play in the lore? Do you think they adequately fill that role currently? What changes would you like to make to their portrayal, if you're made a synthetic lore deputy? If you can't answer any of these questions, it's totally fine. Thanks! Link to comment

I am, admittedly, unsure if the Practitioner sect needs more elaboration. It is meant, to my knowledge, to serve as a "anything that isn't covered in the other sects can go here" as a sort of "make your own Trinarist" thing. If I was going to add anything to it, I would do so while making sure the freedom to do write what you want remains. 5 minutes ago, TheMaskedReader said: but which are currently undeveloped in regard to such attitudes, such as much of the Coalition of Colonies, especially with regards to combining it with existing ideologies and lore, such as Himean Syndicalism. I think a job like this would be three parts. 1) Talking to Human Lore aboutt the faction. 2) Examining the lore to see what attitudes could evolve concerning synthetics. 3) Examining current characters from those areas to see how they feel about IPCs. For instance, Himeo is a strongly syndicalist / leftist ideaology. Would they see IPCs as fellow exploited workers, or as a threat to the job of the avg worker? Stuff like that. 1 hour ago, TheMaskedReader said: To circle back around to the Trinary Perfection and other synthetic factions, what role do you think that factions such as the Golden Deep and the Trinary Perfection should play in the lore? I would like to see the Church empowered a bit, and turn the Scrapheap into a lore location on par with District 6, Flagsdale, or the SLZ. I would want the Church to be a central power in the district, with a conflict between them and secular IPCs. The Church would become a bit more aggressive, and more focused on Religion rather than IPC rights. Link to comment
