Most recent mains have been Antonio Valente and Kazimir Strelitz, but I also play Azzam and Amira Amari, Celestine LaCroix, and a whole host of others I don’t play enough.

 

How long have you been playing on Aurora?: 

About a full year, two if you count the periods where I only popped in every so often.

 

Have you received any administrative actions? And how serious were they?

I’ve only ever had warnings, and I was very cooperative with staff each time and did what they told me to. If an admin or mod tells me to change a name or accent, or to stop doing something, I do it, no questions.

 

Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each.

What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?:

Similar to how a business has a CEO, CFO, and COO, Command members are to be senior members of staff who can give proper guidance to other members of their department (or ship in the case of the captain). They are to keep their departments in order, running properly, and not breaking regulations, while also subbing in for certain jobs (i.e. a CMO doing surgery if there’s no one qualified to do it available) if need be.

As far as representatives go, their job is to provide roleplay opportunities to other players.

 

What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?:

Towards other players, a head of staff is supposed to be someone who exemplifies the rules, and more importantly can help people learn roles. Command members shouldn’t be constant rule fascists, but rather a guiding hand into the world of Aurorastation and the Horizon.

 

Could you give us the gist of what is currently happening in Tau ceti and how it affected your character and their career?

Last I remember, the Phoron shortage has caused the Sol Alliance to damn near collapse. The shortage has led the biggest corporations in human space (minus those bastards at Einstein Engines) to create a sort of zaibatsu to charter and supervise a research flight out across space in search of phoron and various other precious resources. Clearly, if the corporations are setting up a whole ass ship with (almost) permanent residents, that’s going to lead to new positions that need filling and more command to supervise their efforts. It also means them shifting to new corporations, and in the case of heads of staff, directly working as part of the zaibatsu instead of whichever company they were originally a contractor for. 

 

What roles do you plan on playing after the application is accepted?

Realistically, I’d like to get to the point where I could be in any position, but the more immediate choice would be to play Executive Officer since that job has always been something I’ve been interested in since the beginning, and my original main was service, after all.

 

Have you familiarized yourself with the wiki pages for the command roles?

As much as I can, yes.

 

Characters you intend to use for command or have created for command. Include the job they will be taking.:

Silas Grayson (Executive Officer), and Na'ila Abadi (Executive Officer). For the others, I’d prefer to promote characters I already have, such as my physician Wynfried Coldsmith as CMO or Warden Kazimir Strelitz as HoS, but that’ll come when I feel more confident in those departments.

 

Do you understand your whitelist is not permanent, and may be stripped following continuous administrative action?

Yes and I’d be disappointed if that wasn’t the case.

i think for this u may have 2 tone the char back a bit. you can't really have a command character threatening 2 hunt ppl of diff viewpoints down and threatening them. command has diff behavior expectations

That's entirely fair. If I were to give him the promotion, I'd 100% retool him to keep the unlikeable aspect while not being as openly hostile. Wouldn't make sense for him to retain that piece if he was trying to keep his position.

Also understandable. If you'd prefer, I'd either use my other warden, Celestine LaCroix, or just make an entirely new character.

Can do, my man. If either of my characters end up getting development that make them less horrible people, I'll run the promotion by you again.

Regardless, I don't believe I'm going to be playing HoS for my evaluation period, so this is a little moot atm, but it's good to get it out of the way.
