NebulaFlare
BYOND Key: NebulaFlare Character name: Lori Alvarez Item name:ERT Dog Tags (Lori Alvarez) Why is your character carrying said item to work? Lori Alvarez started her career as a 'breacher' for NanoTrasen, specializing in isolating repairs and getting injured personnel to safety. After she lost her arm during a freak accident, she stepped down from full-time employment as an ERT member, until she was assimilated back in and no longer considered a liability.. She's worked as a station engineer since, slowly moving up the rank to Chief Engineer. However, she remains 'on-call' for ERT emergency repairs. Item function(s): However the dog tag items are meant to function Item description:This is a dog tag. The name LORI ALVAREZ is shown on one side, and NANOTRASEN - ERT ENGINEER is shown on the other side. Item appearance: I was told there are holographic dog tags ingame. So. I'd like to keep it uniform and use those. Additional comments: http://i.gyazo.com/b690db4fc0a42b73a3644263f7042465.png Dog tag sprite ingame. It looks awesome. Link to comment
Prospekt
+1 It isn't a jacket like the other 5 ERT characters that applied for one (Exaggeration) At least it's unique and it'll get sufficient roleplay out of it just like the others with the ERT jackets, I'm sure of it. Link to comment
GlamourChariot
I don't support this application at all. I don't believe anyone that isn't in current, full time employment should have anything ERT related. If you're just a random volunteer in reserves or someone that doesn't even work for them at the time, I don't believe you should have any ERT related items. As well as this, full time employment on-station as a job as important as Engineer or especially even Chief Engineer isn't something I'd agree with ever allowing to ALSO be part of the ERT. However, this is solely my opinion and not one I'd imagine would be entirely popular with those that wish to play this kind of character. Link to comment
Loow
Dog tags make sense for the character. I like the look of the dog tags. I see good RP coming from this. Most importantly, I see this as something that the character would realistically have. I can dig it. +1. Link to comment
mrimatool
I have to agree with Glam. ERT is a full time thing. Link to comment
Hackie
The thing is, we have plenty of people who have their characters like Captains, Officers, doctors and etc. play as ERT. Considering the large amount of them I'd say it's okay. Link to comment
Guest
There are some guidelines that were worked out for people who wanted ERT items on spawn. You can't jobhop between multiple departments. (That would be using your character to play too many roles) You can't act like an onduty ERT member while working on station. (If a situation happens you can help but you can only follow orders not give them) You must follow orders given to you (Provided your not in a specific role or already executing an order given) <-mainly for if your title is assistant If you have been given an order once the situation has ended you must return the gear to said department. <-mainly for if your title is assistant Your character can not start off as an antag or be given it from autotraitor. (Antag status given by ic mechanics are ok(Cult,Etherals,Mutiny,Rev(?))) You are not allowed to use the ERT status as a way of getting promoted or gaining an advantage. (IE, going I'm ERT give me X job or weapon) You can't use knowledge a normal crew member wouldn't know. (No special ERT meta) Do you think you would follow those and feel free to contact me if you want clarification on any of them. Link to comment
NebulaFlare
You can't jobhop between multiple departments. (That would be using your character to play too many roles) -Lori is strictly engineering. You can't act like an onduty ERT member while working on station. (If a situation happens you can help but you can only follow orders not give them) -Won't do it at all. Engineering comes first in all scenarios. You must follow orders given to you (Provided your not in a specific role or already executing an order given) <-mainly for if your title is assistant -Lori can be a trouble maker, but she does follow orders. If you have been given an order once the situation has ended you must return the gear to said department. <-mainly for if your title is assistant -Of course Your character can not start off as an antag or be given it from autotraitor. (Antag status given by ic mechanics are ok(Cult,Etherals,Mutiny,Rev(?))) -Can I still be a head mutineer? I can give up syndi affiliation, certainly. You are not allowed to use the ERT status as a way of getting promoted or gaining an advantage. (IE, going I'm ERT give me X job or weapon) -Certainly won't. You can't use knowledge a normal crew member wouldn't know. (No special ERT meta) -Definitely won't. Link to comment
Guest
Yep head mutineer is fine as you are "cut off" from central and would have to react as Lori would on her own. Seems alright to me, Lori is definitely skilled. Link to comment
Cargo Bob
Definitely has the skill and always follows those guidelines to the T. Plus, never seen her outside of Engineering, and I actually saw her as ERT and she didn't show any bias what-so-ever. Definite support here. Link to comment
