I would hope not, bud. I don't wanna feel like a fool for this.

I'm against lifting the ban on plahunter. Very much so, actually.

Most of your actions can be attributed to a lack of maturity and not being able to deal with issues in a formal matter, or not knowing when to stop in general.

Okay, that's fine and dandy and people change, sure.

However, you also have made several posts on r/SS13 to the effect of bashing the server and distorting facts so that you look like the victim.

You were banned for being immature, and being a horrible influence on the rest of the community, from your behavior to the actions you perpetrated. I'm for second chances, but seeing as your comment is now, what, two days old? I can't agree with this unban, not even with the probationary period.

I'm with Incog.

Major reversals in attitude like this don't occur without something extremely important happening in one's life. And I doubt SS-13 is that important to you.

I find it unlikely that Plahunter will remain civil for any longer than it takes to lift the ban, the sheer immaturity of his past comments, actions, etc. Prove that he deserves the ban he so rightly acquired. -1

As I've said before, people deserve second chances.

Not third.

If this would be his second chance, give it to him. If he messes up again, there isn't a "I'm sorry let me try again" at that point.

So, I'd +1 this, if it hasn't already been passed.

Right, this is still all a bit new to me but considering the evidence that has been brought to light and the reactions.

I am going to tentatively, VERY TENTATIVELY +1 this.

Why?

Because the thing you people must keep in mind is that we are all humans behind the screen. We are all people with emotions, grudges, lives and loves. I know this myself. I have kept grudges for no reason other than out of spite. I have been angry like plahunter has. I would have acted the same way were i not more mature.

This being said - I believe that humans are intrinsically good and capable of change, call me foolish and wrong, but i changed. I became a mature individual out of a spiteful piece of shit that i was.

I will admit i act biased and do things in anger - recent events considered, but still.

I give this a tentative +1 and genuinely hope that Plahunter improves.

To preface: I'm an outsider to this. Take my opinion with a grain of salt.

I've dealt with some very immature and rude people before. Quite a few, in fact. Over the years I've seen a lot of people who are difficult, rude, and sometimes outright belligerent. Doubly so when questioned. Many of them can even be decent people when spoken too privately, and yet complete and total fuckwits elsewhere.

You know what I've found? People change. People mature.

Some people I knew who were very, very bad elsewhere are here. To the point where they had outright bans for behavior. Some of them were openly chased out of one or more communities . I'm not saying who you were, I'm sure all of you know who and what I'm referring too.

Some of said players I have not seen regularly for a year or more, and found here. Overall, after playing with them for a few months? They've changed. Some of them have changed drastically for the better.

I'm not saying they are perfect. I'm not saying I am perfect. I am, however, saying that even the "worst of the worst" (according to some people) can and will change for the better. All they need is a chance and a bit of encouragement.

Change does not happen overnight. Change doesn't happen in a few days. Change can take a year or more to come to fruition, even. However...

You cannot change without being given the time and opportunity to do so.

I personally +1 this. Give Theplahunter a chance to prove he is sincerely willing to change, on the condition that he knows this is his final chance.

Here is what the majority of the staff has agreed upon.

  • A probation of 30 days, during which any offences falling in line with the initial ban reason will result in an immediate permanent ban
  • Should you, at any point, be banned for offences falling in line with the initial ban reason, that ban will not be available for appeal (unless the evidence and reasoning is up for debate)

That's, basically it. If you are sincere, we won't have any issues.

So it has been accepted? If yes: I will not let you down.
