Butterrobber202 Posted October 14, 2023 Posted October 14, 2023 Look 16 extended rounds in a row is great and all, but I do like some antagonist gameplay in my aurora soup. While antag pop can be cyclic, its plainly evident that less than a half of the server have antagonist play on their agendas. There's many reasons for that, but I just want to focus on one. One of the reasons I do not ready up for antagonist is that I don't want to solo antag on a 50+ pop round, that's a lot of medical and security to compete with solo in just two hours. So, to prevent this hesitation and suffering, I suggest we add an "Antagonists Readied Up" counter to the Lobby. There's no way to really see which gamemodes are readied for without somewhat spoiling what secret gamemode got rolled, but I think it'd be a step in the right direction. 3

It may end up a bit misleading if you see 12+ people ‘readied for antagonist’ but it’s just ten guys who have Head Loyalist toggled. I’m not really against the idea, but it seems quite possibly too vague to offer meaningful information in the lobby. Or do you mean it’d show ‘Head Loyalist: 10 Technomancer: 2’ in that example? As I mentioned in the post, it would just be readied for antagonist, as I foresaw what your described, but I think that atleast knowing some antags are readied will improve chances others will.

Ah, I’d read that line as ‘it’d be a spoiler but a spoiler is better than what there currently is’. Personally I’d actually like the spoiler version since it might make people more confident to toggle, say, Head Rev/Loy or Cultist if they see others with it toggled.

Would be a good way of showing how many more people we might need to get a proper merc/ninja/etc round going and take a lot of the sting out of blindly setting preferences and hoping you don't get picked to be solo. 3
