((Rationale for saying you're not wearing EVA gear:

- D3F417 described as wearing a shirt and cargo-pants

- Kovner is described as wearing a jump-suit

- Omen's clothes are not described but people's reactions to his robotic arms are described in detail (and they wouldn't be visible inside a space suit)

- Shadow's clothes are not described but she is described as wearing sunglasses, something you wouldn't normally wear inside a space suit, and she scaled a wall with ease after a long jump, something you wouldn't normally be able to do while wearing a space suit.

If you actually are wearing a space suit at this point, just put a note in parenthesis and we can assume that ShyGuy didn't point you out.))

"Look, bru, it takes mor'ne a sneeze ta' tackle a capitol ship. I get'cha it's a wreck, but that just means there's sum'm bigga out there," Mulder shouts back.

What species is everyone? I'm assuming Shy and Daxton are humans, Omen and Shadow are tajaran, and I'm assuming that Frank's an unathi(?) Not sure on the rest, though.

She pressed a button on her own outfit, deploying a suit. It was a dark dusty gray, and did not give any shine. She sank into a chair, placing the metallic box on her lap.

((Shadow is wearing a suit, yes. It promotes mobility over armor, so it's not big and bulky. And sorry for not making it clear - it was her drones that helped her scale the wall, not shadow herself.))

D3F417 quietly watched the others in the group brandish their specialist gear and hardsuits for a moment, seemingly the only one not yet in EVA gear, but still seeming primarily focused on working from its laptop terminal, occasionally glancing in Shadow's direction.

Who's to say it doesn't have EVA gear on an implant? Can you imagine sitting in plate armor? Not very comfortable.

Additionally, D3F417 is a dark blue IPC.

Frank reaches into his satchel again, pulling out a box and grabbing a cut of meat from it. "Anyone want ssssome? It'sss good, farwa" he says whilst holding up the cutlet.

Frank has a custom breacher suit, it's space proof (Also yes he's an unathi)

Omen turned his attention to his bag, retrieving one of the PDA's marked with a red cross. He began to flick through it, as if he was searching for something locked away within the device. His metallic finger pressed against the screen, resulting in a blue beam of light to pour from a small emitter embedded to the back of the device. Before him, a metallic container materialized on the floor.

"Telecrrrrystals, blue crrrystals, whateverr you want to call them. They arrre much morrre useful than a merrre blade," Omen replied dryly, a little late in his response but he remained resolved. He threw the expired PDA to one side before clasping the case, grinning to himself.

Thought I'd describe how I imagine uplinks work in my mind.

((4 decks, top most is mainly bridge, and command crew quarters, second most top is armaments, and gunnery control. Third most is engineering, with maintenance bays. Bottom most is a fighter bay, and contains materials to maintain fighters))

((As someone who is just reading this thread from interest, how does this look for the top deck? Assuming this is your ship, not the one you are going to capture.

I thought the rough and ready look of the dorms suited a team of mercs better, and I added a briefing room as well.))

Quaddy walks into the main room of his ship, and then activates a console on the wall. An image of a large ship is projected, there are numerous breaches in its hull.

"Alright, towards the aft, is a breach that is large enough to send supplies, crew. You guys are going to enter through there. From what I can tell, there is no interior turrets, but, the crew is likely armed. It turns out that what caused the ship to blow, was a miscalculated warp, incombination with faulty wiring, causing the ship to blow. About, seventy five of the crew is dead by my estimates. Easy going, huh?"

Omen taps his finger repeatedly against his snout, tilting his head slightly.

"Faulty wirrring? Sounds like a shit bucket to him. What sort of cargo were they holding if any at all," he stands from his seat, making his way towards the console to get a better look at the ship.

Quaddy looks at Frank

"Its just an assumption. Pretty sure mercs on a cruiser would be armed, but I don't know their weapons

Quaddy looks at Omen and shrugs

"Its atleast good for scrap. There are large cargo containers, and a bunch of fighters, or drones, not sure which. But I am pretty sure they cannot scramble them.

D3F417 looks up from its screen, and stares ahead at the monitor for a moment before finally speaking in a subdued, audio-clipped voice for the first time since it boarded the vessel,

"Is there any software in the vessel that we can seize control of? Or is it totally blacked out, as anticipated? We find it a bit difficult to believe the current occupants haven't established a forward operating base on one of the decks, especially one that would have to possess high-powered equipment to adequately carry out their operations. Can we search for EM activity, or any active wireless networks in the area that may confirm this?"

Quaddy looks up at D3F417

"All I did was get a deep scan on it, didn't ping it or anything, so it might, or might not.

Shyguy leans forward to look closely at the map. "Interior dimensions look like... four meter clearance on the main junctions." They look down at their tablet, then back up at the map, "I can work with that."

They check a few more things on their tablet before turning to Quaddy. "I'm not uhh.... I'm still not convinced going in, in one big group is the best idea. If anyone has breaching charges, we could put them there -" they point at the lower portion of the ship near a chevron indicating a launch tube "- and there. Then we could go in through one of the launch bays. If those are fighter bays, not drone pods, the individual fighter shuttles will have independent life-support systems, power supplies, that kind of thing. If I were stuck on that ship and I couldn't get to an escape pod, that's where I'd go..."

Mulder taps the hologram near the cargo bay, indicating a T-junction with a large room to one side. He says, "Might be a medbay'r'a security depot. Likely ta be guarded. We could place charges hea' and hea' on the deck below an' pop tha lot of 'em."

"That might not be a good idea, boss. If my guesswork is correct, the hydrogen lines for the ship's reactor run right below that room. You might end up taking the whole ship with you," Matrix replies.

Snapping back in his seat, Mulder asks, "Any ideas then? We'll have ta pass it an' it's a damn chokepoint."

Quaddy looks to Shyguy, and thinks for a moment, "I think that whoever doesn't have a hardsuit, probably died by now, but yea, good idea. But also, we could split out intro a few groups if you wish, but remember, I'm staying on my ship."

Quaddy then replies to Mulder, "Hm.. I would say a flechete grenade or two, make sure it doesn't pierce a the ships hull, because, I wanna avoid damaging it further."
