Hey, so you know how all offships have a [SHIP-NAME] channel to serve as their common channel?

Let's do that on the Horizon to serve as our encrypted Common Channel, so we can finally turn off Green Common on our headsets if we don't want to hear chatter from multiple Z-levels. Its the neatest solution for people who don't want to hear about people being mauled by IPCs all day.

I imagine that so people can access it regularly, a new access requirement of "SCCV Horizon" will need to be added to ID cards both crew and antag, but it is a small price to pay in exchange for network security.

Agreed.

It kind of breaks the immersion considering alot of these calls are supposedly coming from people that are all the way down planetside.

Their access to the common channels at times makes it feel like they are just a department away, if it wasn't for the occassional reminders that they are not.
