It'd make it easier to fax things through departments, so we don't have to use all of our paper. There is a proc in the code to do this, and I've already coded the verb to allow it, meaning it'd be a simple addition once we update again. Thoughts, concerns, questions are welcome.

witchbells Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 make a new item for it, ink remover. makes more sense, since all documents are written in pen, anyway. it shouldn't be a thing that everyone would have access to. maybe just librarians and IAA agents. and instead of it just clearing a page, give it the ability to edit the paper.

Now, while I was working, I noticed the massive stacks of copy-paper, A4, they had on standby: the production 'command' had 2 boxes of the stuff on a shelf, upper floor offices had even more. And they keep ordering it. So, here's the idea: paperwork logistics. Make an item, like a bundle of A4 copy-paper that can be used to restore the contents of a bin. As far as I understand, the bin just has a variable defining how many sheets it has left. If you want to get fancier, also make it so that attacking the paper budnle with an empty hand, while it's in your other hands, makes you draw a paper from it. It would basically, in its simplest form, be a transfer of variable amounts. Thoughts?

I think it would be nice if there was some sort of eraser for the HoP, since people tend to make errors on the forms when filling them out, I.e signing without [sign], which you either have to put up with and accept the form, or make them write out a brand new one.
Guest Marlon Phoenix Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 There's not really a lot to gain from just arbitrarily erasing paperwork, since if you're handling a form messing with it generally just hurts you and annoys the paperwork handler. (Which is usually a Head, IA Agents, or Cargo) I mean, if you're trying to erase evidence or records I could see this being a thing, but then again it's easier to just... Use a lighter on the paper. It'd be nice to have "pencils" as an option, which let you erase/edit things you've written.
