Why is Sue's necromorph project(could do better than another survival horror franchise rip off just saying) having any effect on this? Yes they're similar baseline code wise but they're not the same at all when it comes to RP, either way this is kektastic.

Holy fuck, we were arguing about necromorphs or aliens? Shit, why can't we have both, again?

Because despite what has been said before, it doesn't matter what the community wants or has a general consensus on, it's about what the developers want in the game first. Good luck convincing soundscopes at this point. :/

This isn't a democracy, it's a benevolent dictatorship. Which is a good thing, as far as I'm concerned, because while I don't always agree with the decisions that are made, they don't always go along with the terrible ideas the hive mind here often has.

This is the standard form of governance that games of this kind assume.

We are the players, they are our GMs, and the server is their table.

Except that goes against what Aurora was founded on - Community input and choices. An offering to be different than the clique-ish and elitist other HRP servers, and a place where RP thrives. Granted, the community and this ideal has changed since formation.

But I like to think the facade should still live on. Community should have the final choice in most aspects; as upsetting as it may be towards our admin team.

I believe the staff and Scopes are using the traditional "Kill with silence." tactic. They haven't commented anything recently despite a majority consensus of support for using the CM alien code.

If nicking the code is a issue because "I don't have the time." then that's ridiculous. You literally have to copy and paste the code.

Actually I thought I would be silent because I got what I wanted, valid reasons for why people want it.

I decided to say no to this and see what people said, turns out saying no got people to say more than "I want this please add" and give actual reasons why they want it or why it would be a good idea.

Sue's project uses these for a base and I haven't heard from her for a while.

I've spoken to Fractal about these since, I think it was a week or two ago.

Doing that is what made our current aliens break.

Well I apologize, but don't you feel it is in everyone's best interest to communicate with the Whole community and deliver a final message about the topic? Instead of us continuing to badger about the topic at hand?

At the moment there isn't a final decision made for them, I still want to talk to Apophis about it before hand.

I would prefer permission rather than just taking someone elses code just because it's there.
