Nogo3 Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 Meme squad's forming into one unit, as usual, I see. I think we've all seen staff in different positions who behave much worse, routinely. Sierra's post was not very far over the line, and I honestly think your hangup here is personal spite, not a legitimate beef. Can we actually leave the OP a chance to address/refute the criticism here, instead of going "oh, it's haters that don't like them so their opinions must be immediately discontinued"? I'll be honest in saying that I've waiting for quite a while in hopes of seeing the OP address the criticisms that have been addressed before I put my own two cents in, but it's been a few days, so I'll go ahead and throw it up. I spent a bit reviewing all the post that Sierra had made on the forums to see and make my own opinions on their behavior, and honestly I personally think it's a little less than okay. There's been a good amount of use of Ad Hominem against users and the quickness to start fights from their posts and they don't seem to have provided much justification as to what it is that's setting them off. If it's the players that bring these comments up themselves, then the things they say are the equivalent (atleast I feel) of trying to start a war. This is personally the last thing I'd like to see in a forum moderator, a position that requires being able to talk something out with someone and try to stop fights rather than start them. I'll acknowledge and give them good credit for providing their flaws in the app, because that's honestly a very hard thing to do. I'm just majorly worried about their conduct, because "People getting along with you" isn't the goal. You should be able to get along with people so you can work out stuff out from there. Y'know? -1, until the OP addresses. App or not, though, I'd still like to see an answer for this. I've genuine concerns about stuff like this, sometimes.
Frances Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 I want to add something - which I don't necessarily see as "piling up on Sierra" but rather as the continuation of the previous issues I talked about. As Sierra reacts in an aggressive and confrontational manner whenever my name comes up in something (and this isn't new, it's happened ever since a complaint against TheFurry, if not maybe before), it seems obvious that she's got some grudge against me, or at least harbors some negative personal feelings that have been tainting her responses to various incidents. I've tried sending her a PM to offer her to have a chat about the whole thing. Basically, give her a chance to discuss what pisses her off and see if we can clear things up. She read the PM, and refused to send a reply, even if only to state that she didn't believe there were any problems, or that she wasn't interested in talking to me about it more (which I'm assuming she's not gonna do as it's been a few days since that, now.) Despite that, she's still posted in my mod application thread with the same accusatory tone. Granted, she didn't say much, but this seems to show she has no interest in solving the issue with me despite us having no personal contact yet whatsoever. :\ Also you guys need to stop accusing anybody with the same opinion of being part of a clique. There's a bunch of people disapproving of my mod app and I'm not trying to call them members of a conspiracy.

I type up a PM, thought I sent it, and.. Nothing); That's why I wasn't replying here at first because I thought my PM reply had gone through and was waiting on a reply. I'll try this again.
Frances Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 Oh, okay. That's really my bad, then. Glad we could clear it up!
Frances Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 I had a short conversation with Sierra a few days ago (and then I had to leave -_-) I can say that she's polite and attentive in one-on-ones. I don't know how this reflects on her ability to handle stress or sudden, unexpected conflict, but even though we didn't really have the time to figure out our issues yet (that's totally my fault), she seems to be doing good on the front of long-term problem-solving. Just wanted to put that out there.
Skull132 Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Added onto forum mod trial. They'll be running around and coordinating with the two present forum mods. Feedback is always welcome.
SierraKomodo Posted January 8, 2016 Author Posted January 8, 2016 And for my first trick, I'm going to ban myself.
