Theplahunter
BYOND key:Plahunter10 Character names: Alexander Von Blume, Vincent Partisiani, Hunter Robinson, Lucas Monroe, Daniel Mac-Alpin How long have you been playing on Aurora?:Three months Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?:.Because my character has been heavily influenced by Milo hatchert and he aspires to be like him and become a head of security Why did you come to Aurora?:Because i am very interested in heavy RP, i’ve played HL2RP for two years and i have always played the security type, the protector. I’ve played SS13 for one and even admined on New eden, playing as the HoS often. Kind of a pencil pusher type however.] Have you read the BS12 wiki on the head roles you plan on playing?:Yes, i have. Please provide well articulated and argumented answers to the following questions in a paragraph each. Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about: Roleplaying is developing your character, not just who is better or who is robusty mc robusturist. I personally have more fun when i am making a miniature bar and having a little party, or repairing a wall and being a hero for people instead of the one that cracks a mans kneecaps inwards with no RP. What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?: A head of staff is supposed to coordinate his area to make sure it is working optimally,he is not supposed to be patrolling but he is well versed in the areas of combat and is able to take down a hostile contact if necessary. A quote from Theodore Roosevelt sums this up pretty well: “Speak Softly and Carry a big stick.” What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: Responsibilities of a whitelisted player are being able to RP accordingly, and setting an example for the lowers. They need to not act with extreme malice ICly, and not discredit the community by acting like a representative OOCly (like on Reddit, still soooo sorry about that.) The whitelisted players should also not act like super cop and be A Mary Sue in the game, with weaknesses and personality along with getting along with their staff and being active in the server. Please pick one of your characters for this section, and provide well articulated responses to the following questions. Character name: Hunter Jax Robinson Character age: 28 Please provide a short biography of this character (approx 2 paragraphs): Hunter was born on a small farming colony, around veteran marines and ex-Nanotraesen officals. He spent most of his life as a farmer, watching old tapes of british and american television. He had a tall skinny build, mostly from genetics. He was a fighter however, and was in a couple underground fighting rings. He got plenty of bruises and scars from it, but it made him tougher. At eighteen after he graduated high school he enlisted as a security cadet, being asigned as the wardens assistant. He set the brig timers, grabbed coffee and scones for him. Usually just messed around while everybody else did real shit for a year until he was finally offered an officer position. He went to the academy and studied space law. He was sponsored by the warden, named Albert Heinkel. After six months he was finally ready and he was asigned to the NSS aurora It was usually a slow shift, arrest a guy, punch another guy for trying to break in, then punch the clown for throwing a pie at you. But he was usually good enough that he wasnt fired, for three years (aka now 21) he relaxed until some unforseen issues sent him in critical condition where he had lost a hand, and another year later he had almost died but was saved by his current Head of security, Milo Hatchert. Another after the incident between going back to college and working on a smaller acadamy station he was offered a warden possition after he got his 2 year degree in criminal justice/law enforcement. Where he is now, applying for another promotion to Head of Security in the chain of command. What do you like about this character?:This was my first character, he is special to me due to all that i have done with him and the close relationships i have formed is a sort of first for me.] EDIT: Changed age to closer to the required limit, 28. Doomberg
Regretfully, I have to say that I do not believe the candidate in question is fit for a Head of Staff position as things currently stand. During my fairly numerous encounters with him, I've personally witnessed him mistreating prisoners (giving someone /sixty/ minutes of brig time for insulting him and then wrongfully muzzling the detainee in question), being an absolute pain to his fellow officers, lying to administrators and generally being both ICly and OOCly hostile when confronted about his mistakes, while also demonstrating an absolute failure to understand SOP and how the standard brig time for each charge works. Due to the reasons outlined above, I'm going to have to give this application a -1 until I see some major improvements in the applicant's behavior and performance, both IC and OOC. Link to comment

I'd like to know when i lied to admins? You told Skull you had the captain's authorization for extended sentences when questioned about a prisoner's relatively lengthy sentence, when the logs demonstrated that you did not. That's how it happened as far as I recall, in any case. Link to comment
Serveris
Need to start treating your detainees better. I can personally attest to unfair, illegitimate, and downright dickish brig sentencing and prisoner management. EDIT: +1. Their performance has increased considerably from what I've seen. Null everything I said before hand, as it's been corrected in the past several weeks. Edited November 12, 2014 by Guest Link to comment

GlamourChariot
-1 Though I am unaware of the full extent of the applicants roleplaying ability, I can easily attest to the negative attitude they present OOC. Holding a whitelist is supposed to be a sign of someone who could be used as a positive example to the rest of the community, with high standards of roleplay and potentially higher standards of interpersonal interaction outside of the game. Given their toxic and inflammatory nature, frequent disregard of advice and often immature name calling / jokes in bad taste, I don't believe this applicant is prepared to hold a whitelist. Guest
From my experience, his play really did improve, but I wouldn't tag him as HoS material yet. On the other hand, I don't know him enough to make a valid judgement, so I won't - or + this app. Link to comment
Frances
Alright, here's what we're going to do. There's not much speaking for you yet, and checking your notes, I can see that you've still gotten into incidents as a warden recently (you have a note from just yesterday about going SSD as warden repeatedly after several warnings). This does not prove to me that you are ready to take on head responsibilities. However, there is improvement, which I will acknowledge. I'm going to close this app, because it's a bit outdated at this point - however, I'm giving you a blank slate. Basically, wait a couple weeks, and submit a new app. If you can get people to speak for you positively, and I see no objections from staff, then we can grant you a whitelist then. I will be expecting a much sharper application, though, given that you've already been provided feedback. This includes more elaborate answers than "a head is a coordinator that can also fight if needed". Link to comment
