Congratulations friend!

What kind of non-drunk drinks do you like? If you have a preference for sweet things and want to get drunk quickly, I'd suggest zuperdupers Vodka Cruisers. If you like milky drinks, I would suggest Malibu or Bailey's. If you like the smell of beer (seriously, smell it first), I'd start off with a light, try Corona with lime or my preference is James Boag if you can get it where you are.

The real question is

you really made it to 21 without drinking? What madness is this?

Well... the wording is a bit precise, what should be my first legal drink to purchase? I've certainly drank before but mostly beer and vodka. I'm mostly searching for something new to try since I can now browse finer wares.

However I did make it to 18 without smoking even once, so there's that.

Whoa now thundy, we can't admit to illegal stuff here! We have a contract with RK...s...zone...

Well, not anymore.

Anyway, jokes aside, if I might suggest. I personally prefer a bit of rum every now and then. Moderation is very important. Get a friend to drink with, not only does it make it a more enjoyable experience... well, actually, that's it. Don't ever drink to 'drown away the sorrows', that's an awful fucking idea. Don't do it. Drink alcohol to celebrate a special occasion, or just for fun!

Do rum. But go easy.

Yeah don't smoke. Just...yeah don't.

Do you like red wine? Or spirits? Or beers? What are your pre-existing likes?

My pre-existing likes so far:

-Darker beers/lighter ales

-White wine more so than red wine, but red can be pretty good

-Vodka that isn't Vladimir (nor others where you can get 2 litres for less than ten bucks)

-Whiskey, for the flask

Do rum. But go easy.

One my friends drinks so much rum, he starts faking a pirate accent, no lie. But I usually find when drinking rum that I prefer rum and coke... with a heavily lopsided amount of coke. Though I tried rum with milk once and the combination was actually great.

I have a fancy for a Vodka Collins. A Tom collins is made with gin, but the vodka collins in an obvious variant. Not a bad drink if you like something more sour, such as lemonade. If you can find a place to get it, anything with Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka is delicious.

Edit: At home I tend to mix either Crown Royal or Southern comfort with Mountain Dew, just go easy you can get fucked up on SoCo fast.

I'll try this, all of it at some point.

Red Bull Vodka, best drink.

Then Tequila.

Beer, I drink selectively.

Whatever you do, try not to drink up too much sugar with it, or you will regret your morning more. Haling from New England, I'm a big fan of strong and sour ciders. Avoid the Woodchuck brand though, that's practically soda.

If you're venturing into wine territory, try an inexpensive bottle of something red from South America, like a malbec. Lots of flavor, easy to drink, and (generally) not sketchy if priced above ten dollars.

Edit: Also, happy goddamn birthday :D

Thanks! :D I'll certainly try ciders, I imagine they taste great.
