coolbc2000
Abelard sighs, "These were victims of the Thieves guild after the Purge... Hopefully we will find some inside, I have not been here for a long time..." Quote Link to comment
Owen
Nilieril: Nilieril responds to Alelard, "It doesn't look like anyone has been down here for a while, I suppose it wouldn't hurt to look though." Quote Link to comment
Lord Lag
Sorarne heffed once more. "Mmmh...Lead the way.", looking expectantly at Abelard. Quote Link to comment
Skull132
((Apologies about the absence, parties are hard ;-; )) Upon hearing of the plan to go trudging around the sewers, Ervas would shift his attention to the already brewing pot of trouble. He walks up to the three Nords and lone Dunmer, his hand pulling back the traveller's cloak to reveal a bandoleer equipped with 5 scrolls going across his chest. "What's the matter?" he asks, looking past the Nord and focusing on the Dunmer is distress. Quote Link to comment
Guest
Ervas The Nord that was staring at him earlier would step towards Ervas in a stand-offish attitude, "None of your damned business, Greyskin." He would stand there, still, eyeing Ervas like a statue, while drops of rainwater drained across his face. Odd. Quote Link to comment
Skull132
"He is my kin," Ervas replies, now shifting his gaze to focus on the Nord facing him. "It is my business, brute." He looks around the tavern for a moment, attempting to gauge how many people are around and paying attention to the scene. Quote Link to comment
coolbc2000
Abelard says, "Ah yes well...Let us see where this hallway goes..." Quote Link to comment
Guest
((Please, make effort to describe where and how you are going, in the future)) The group continues down the hallway from the previous chamber. They end up a large reservoir chamber. In the middle, on the ceiling, is a distinct opening for the town well. Rainwater is dripping through it. Abelard knows, this is the chamber where the thieves guild is. Or... well... used to be. Once lively ragtag tavern has been replaced by an emptiness, and grave quiet. If the plaque wasn't enough, this scene will be enough to explain that the thieves guild no longer exists here in its previous form. At least not here. This is a dead end. Somewhere in the sewers nearby, the group hears clinging and footsteps. Do what? Ervas The Nords glance at each other, then at Ervas. The Dunmer behind them sighs and rubs his temples in irritation. One of the nords asks, a tall, blond one, "Are you going to pay his debt?" Quote Link to comment
Skull132
Meta-reference: Ervas' standard assortment of scrolls contains 2 spells of stoneskin, 1 ice bolt (the large kind that tends to impale people), 1 fireball, and 1 flash spell (generates a bright ass flash upon impact). Â Ervas mulls for a moment, thinking. "What is the debt?" he asks, before adding on another question: "and is it just?" He looks past the Nords, at the Dunmer, as if expecting him to answer the last question. Quote Link to comment
coolbc2000
Abelard jumps, "My trap has not been activated... It is either a member or something else." Abelard spawns a flame in his hand. "Be prepared either way." He walks towards the sounds. Quote Link to comment
Lord Lag
Sorarne stood still at the sound of movement, opting to instead listen closely, trying to determine more about what was moving, from possible numbers to possible armour. Quote Link to comment
Guest
Sorarne There is a lot of echo, so it's hard to determine how many of them there are, but the pattern is chaotic, as if belonging to a large group with heavy footsteps, rather than a few people. The footsteps are accompanied with a slight ringing of chain mail. Ervas Some of the patrons seemed to have turned their attention to Ervas and the Nords. The blond nord says, "He borrowed money. Three hundred drakes." He glances at the Dunmer, the latter scoffs in the most Dunmer way imaginable. He adds, "I do not care what it was for." Edited March 20, 2016 by Guest Quote Link to comment
Owen
Nilieril: Nilieril shifts nervously, "I am not sure how wise it would be to head to that sound. It sounds like a lot of people." He looks over at Sorarne as if he wanted him to back him up. Quote Link to comment
Lord Lag
"Agreed" He spoke, keeping his voice low, standing almost completely still, always listening. Quote Link to comment
Guest
The footsteps seem to be getting louder, as if coming to your area if you will it or not. They are talking, and their voices seem loud and angry, but you can never be sure with nords. The echo, however, stops you from getting anything understandable out of it. Quote Link to comment
Lord Lag
Sorarne continues to stand and wait. If he fled, he would surely get lost in the labyrinth that made up Riften's sewers. Quote Link to comment
Owen
Nilieril: Nilieril continues to wait next to Sorarne trying to call out to Alebard who is walking towards the noises. Quote Link to comment
Guest
At the end of a tunnel, across the chamber, you can notice a relection of torches on the walls, and shadows. They are most definitely going your way. Quote Link to comment
Owen
Nilieril: Nilieril frowns and then backs around the corner, pulling out his bow and readying incase the oncoming group is hostile. Quote Link to comment
Lord Lag
Sorarne looks to Nilieril preparing from behind the metal of his helmet, then to his own armaments. A steel mace and shield. Yet he did not ready the weapons. He recognised the tone. The accent. Nords. He elected to rest his arms at his sides and resume waiting. Quote Link to comment
Guest
The group of nords enter the tunnel going towards them, carrying arms, armor, shields and torches. Six total, three of them were wearing Riften Guard uniforms. The one in the lead, also in a uniform sees them and yells, "You! Stop right there!" They start running towards them through the tunnel. coolbc2000
Abelard shouts, "Ah bleedin hell, how in Oblivion did they find us." Abelard starts running back, remembering a button leading to the surface. He does a double take. "RUN YOU FOOLS, WITH ME." Abelard starts running. Quote Link to comment
Lord Lag
Sorarne quickly looks from Abelard running for his life to the guards rushing towards then. He could feel anxiety. Curious. Will it succeed? You could be trapped otherwise. Do it. With a sharp breath, he turned to the guards as the closed the distance, his emotions hidden, as with his face, behind the steel helmet at he raised a hand towards them, and uttered a word. "Stop."
