Sorarne stands for a moment, perhaps in surprise at his work, before stuttering out a response,

"W-w-ahem."

"We were spelunking, in a sense. If your aware of the Necromancers plaguing the nearby area, we were seeking information about them from..."

Sorarne gestured around the sewer.

"People who always have an ear to the ground."

During the exchange, Ervas would try to discreetly tap a scroll of stoneskin and prepare it for casting. "You can find those three hundred drakes elsewhere, nords," he says, the spell prepared for casting in his sword hand, which is still rested on his abdomen. Ervas then adds: "A local Breton can help out with that. The s'wit is around here, somewhere."

Ervas

The nord frown and looks at his fellows, then nods. Moment later, all three of them pulled daggers and started approaching Ervas. "We'll teach you to mind your own damn business."

The others

"There are no necromancers here." The leader says, "I ask you again, what are you doing here and why are you touching our children?"

Ervas

The locals would gasp and scream, then move back to make space for the fighters. Ervas is facing three nords, promptly named the Boss, being the one talking previously, the Fat one, a large nord who has somewhat more flesh in his stomach than than usual and the Stony, the one that displayed such properties. Stony seemed to be the closest one. As Ervas attempted to stab him, he would pull back beyond the swords reach, the other two would do as well, instinctively. The fat one would take a stool from his side, and use it as a promptu shield, the other two would attempt to circle around Ervas, to his right.

It is slowly starting to dawn on Ervas that this may not have been the best of ideas. His head quickly turns to allow his gaze to alternate between the three foes. After a short moment of thought, he drains his fire ball scroll and tosses the hot ball of flames at the leader-looking figure, hoping to scare him off by lighting his clothes on fire.

At the question of "Why are you touching our children?", Sorarne let out a guttural noise.

"Aaaaahhh...", looking back to where the others ran to.

"We w- ah."

He mused for a moment.

There is no way to make their actions sound justified.

He began to back away quickly in the direction of Nilieril, "If you all just stand there, well go get the people who did such..unspeakable things, for we are companions, and as such, our honor demands that we never stoop to such a disgusting low."

After not finding the button ((YO GM, WHERE THE MONEY AT?)) Abelard starts to run back to where the Guards are

"You see guards, we were simply trying to get rid of those damn monsters that pester out streets with ungodly noises, we were sent here on a job to do that. ((Speech skill used))

Abelard

Abelard fails to find the button because he's old and senile, thinking that there is a magical button. When he spoke to the group, strangely enough, the others shook their head. "Yes... we believe you. You advanturing types are like a damned plague. We do not want you here however. Get out of the sewers and the town before we arrest you." (speach attempt successful?)

You attempted to pull out info on the necromancers and the monsters, and you would've been successful... if the people you were talking to wanted you to get rid of them. You think to yourself they don't, which means they are somehow tied into the whole thing.

Ervas

As he throws a fireball at the Boss, successfully lighing his clothes of fire. The latter stambles back and falls onto a table spilling some flammable liquid across the table, helping it catch fire as well. He rolls around, screaming and trying to put himself out. Some of the patrons attempt to put the table fire out. When the other two saw their leader hurt, they didn't flinch but just continued advancing, they were now to the left and right sides of Ervas. The Fat one waves his chair at him, while the Stony attempts to stab him in his back or sides.

Ervas

Ervas catches the nord's dagger with his bare hand successfully. The nord quickly tries to twist Ervas's hand to let the degger go but is cough off-guard by the blade of his sword. It flips very forcefully into his chest, just below the ribs. His eyes widen, and he moans, then looks at the Ervas with murderous glare. A stool colides with Ervas's head, used as a blunt weapon by the Fat One. Ervas may have been a bit stricken by that.

However, the dunmer that was so far so standing passively, took a bottle off the nearby bar, broke it, and plunged it into the Fat One's back, screaming, "Die N'wah!" The locals start running and saying, "Call the guards." The burning Boss is still rolling on the floor.

Others

You should slowly head off the exact way you came in.

Nilieril: Nilieril looks around before starting his way out of the sewers. Luckily, he doesn't seem to get too lost while walking. Nilieril still finds those guards that were down there strange about not wanting them down there.

The other group looked at them while they were withdrawing, then turned and left the other way. While heading back to the surface, your group was pondering just splitting in a different direction and ignoring the warnings. Something's down there, but it may get you into further trouble if you look for it, you conclude to yourself.

Regardless, you stop just short of the entrance, where Abelard left the magic trap, waiting for him to dispel it before you proceed.

Depending on how much help he would get from the other Dunmer, it would take a little bit for Ervas to shake himself off and re-acquire his sword. Dazed and confused, he would hear the remarks about the guards, and figure that it's time to leave. He spends a moment looking around for the other Dunmer, before making plans to leave.

Ervas

He would hear a loud tump behind him, moments later. Dazed and with somewhat blurred vision, he would fail to re-aquire his sword... and well, notice that the Nord he just ran through was still standing with a sword in his chest. He put his hands around Ervas neck and started pressing with a murderous glare.

Cursing, "Die you s'wit!" with a raspy voice, Ervas' hand slipped once more to his bandoleer of scrolls. He picked the very last scroll, twisted his palm around and shoved it towards the nord, aiming as high as he could. A bolt of ice would thrust out of his palm as he did so, flinging itself into the man strangling him.

Ervas

As the ice spike emitted from Ervas's hand, it would fly straight for his stomach. The force of the magic projectile would kick him back a few feet and make him stumble to his knees, still alive, but in no condition to fight, making him release Ervas in the process. The blade was still protruding from his stomach. The other dunmer, would tap grab his shoulder, "We need to go. Now! Before you get us both executed."

The burning Boss nord was trying to get up, badly burned and the Fat one was lying unconscious on the floor.
