Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about: Roleplay should be about acting as your character would in any given situation, and responding to it and acting as they would What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?: To organize the members of their department and ensure the station runs smoothly What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: be fair, be respectfull, and generally dont be an asshole to people Please pick one of your characters for this section, and provide well articulated responses to the following questions. Character name: Halt O'Carrick Character age: 35 Please provide a short biography of this character (approx 2 paragraphs): Halt was interested in machines from a young age. his dad was part of Hephaestus Industries and worked in the engineering crew on board a capital class ship. It was here that Halt first learned about engineering. His dad always brought him along on voyages, as it was common for men to have apprentices on board with them to eventually take their spot, so Halt was very quickly taught all he could know about engineering. After five years of being an apprentice to his dad, Halt decided to join the Sol system military at age 18 as a maintenance tech aboard a destroyer, and served with distinction all throughout his ten years of service. As he grew in rank and prestige, Halt was assigned to more prestigious vessels until eventually he was severely injured in a super matter explosion that resulted in the loss of his right arm. After a medical discharge from the military, and extensive physical therapy, not to mention a generous gift of a robotic arm from Nano-Transen, Halt eventually ended up working for NT as a station engineer, and has been with the company for over seven years. His previous experience has proven invaluable in his aide to his duty stations, and not a single commander has ever had a problem with him. What do you like about this character?: He is military, knowledgeable about engineering, likes to tinker, and honorable What do you dislike about this character?: known smoking problem, can sometimes come across as demeaning without really meaning to be What do you think makes this character fit to be a head of staff?: over two decades of engineering experience, military service, and service with distinction all make Halt a great fit for Head of Staff. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions. How would you rate your own roleplaying?: 8/10 Extra notes: ooc wise I have over 100 hours logged on SS13, with over 70 of those logged as a station engineer/chief engineer on several servers. This is the regular baystation map as of right now, it'll be changing soon to a much more new layout. Also, I've seen your character around a few times in the past couple days, nothing bad has come of it yet but I'm not giving a plus one or negative one until I see some more of him.
