How long have you been playing on Aurora?: Errrr, I'm not sure! More then a year probably! Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: I would like to vary what I play as and I've always found command rules to be plenty of fun to play! Why did you come to Aurora?: A previous station I played on, Apoc, died due to changing codebases and I had been on this server once or twice before so I thought it was a perfect place to switch over to as my main server Have you read the BS12 wiki on the head roles you plan on playing?: Yup! Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each. Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about: Roleplay is playing a role. It's being something you can't be in real life! It's about having fun and exploring the limits of your imagination. Roleplay should be about having fun and having experiences! I feel like Roleplaying is at its best when it makes you happy, angry, sad, or excited! Being that warrior lizard or spell flinging edgy cat wizard doesn't hurt either! What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?: I feel that the OOC purpose of a head of staff is to be a kind of example for how people should RP. Other people should be able to look at a head of staff and have a general guide of how they should play. They should also be able to keep things running and be able to delegate roles, responsibility and purpose to other players. They also act as the link between the station and DO's through fax. What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: I think their purpose is to help people stay in the round and try to make people have fun. I know they can't do this all the time, but they should try to strive to do this. I mean sure, the easy thing would be to snipe the nuke op with his back turned, but you could also ambush him and capture him and once the crisis is over, you can try to interact with them instead of leaving them in their alone. Please pick one of your characters for this section, and provide well articulated responses to the following questions. Character name: Grendel Northey Character age: 31 Please provide a short biography of this character (approx 2 paragraphs): Grendel Northey was born to average middle classed family on biesel. His father was a pharmacist and his mother was a pre-school teacher. Grendel was never the fastest, smarted, or most creative child and his parents knew that but, he was very determined. From a young age, he expressed a interest in medicine like his father. Unlike a lot of parents, his mother and father tried to expose him to many different ideas, cultures, and philosophies. His grandpa died when he was 16 due to disease and while Grendel wasn't the closest with his father, it still devastated him as he knew the disease was treatable, but his grandpa hadn't gotten proper medical care. It was at this time in his life, that he finally decided to pursue a medical career. He passed high school with above average grades and got into a decent medical school. He diligently applied himself and finally graduated near the top of his class. For the start of his career, he didn't want to work in some clinic or hospital planet side, so he applied for a internship for Nanotrasen. After three years, he was promoted to a nursing position. He was then promoted a short year later to medical doctor where he continued his work aboard the Odin, until he decided to apply for a transfer to the Exodus. What do you like about this character?: He had a fairly nice background and he is rather devoted to his work. I also am planing on making him a rather jolly sort of man. What do you dislike about this character?: He can be a bit too trusting, and often doesn't catch when people are deceiving him. What do you think makes this character fit to be a head of staff?: He is a hard worker and is very devoted. I feel that his jolly nature would also help some of the more stubborn crew to follow his orders that other, more forceful heads of staff wouldn't be able to convince. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions. How would you rate your own roleplaying?: I'll probably give myself a 7/10, but I'm probably not the best judge.
