Slowing blood loss by grabbing wounded area.

Hello its Valky here.

Basically I am going to maybe make this into a thing if feedback is good. My idea is quite simple.

-Have an empty hand

-Target bleeding location of your body

-Click yourself with grab intent

-It will slow down blood loss from any bleeding wound and stop blood loss if the wound is small enough.

I was intending to make it slow blood loss by maybe 40-60% depending on feedback but suggestions are welcome from everyone.

You will be free to use your other hand. The blood loss is slowed as long as you keep the grab on, doesn't need to be your main selected hand.

What does everyone think?

Yea this sounds great, but i noticed i usually get taken out by broken bones blending my insides, infections or medbay leaving me to die, if we get that i hope we buff bleeding, give them levels, papercut, minor bleeding, medium and major, having the first two effectively slowed while major bleeding only slowed by like 30%

This will blend in nicely since clicking yourself in grab intent does basically nothing.

That was exactly my plan and thought it would just be a cool addition. Add a little bit more self reliance in dangerous situations

I think bleeding wounds heal too fast on their own for this to be much use. though that could be changed

I rarely see people have major blood loss unless its internal bleeding, or they got vamped

Well the reason I had this idea was a round yesterday a blob caused a wound that I almost bled to death from. Bleeding wounds can be very dangerous if they are done right.

Security tends to encounter these sorts of situations all the time where they're making tactical retreats from danger where they've could've lost something more important than their dignity or honor. Bleeding happens to be the most common non-accidental injury as well. If left untreated, a mild-to-severe wound (within the 20-40 sharp-brute point range) will cause someone to bleed out entirely and die if they are not treated.

Applying direct pressure on bleeding wounds is an entirely legitimate and practical method in stalling serious blood loss and buying yourself time until an EMS arrives. Although, internal bleeding is a lot more difficult to stop than with other more external bleeding injuries.
